  • Wow ... I remember hearing this on the radio a long time ago, and thought this was a Fleetwood Mac song. Seriously--this sounds exactly like something Stevie Nicks would sing. So I was surprised to hear it was actually Basia.

  • Such a beautiful voice and a beautiful woman!

  • " one of my gay boyfriend ex love song"

  • I Love Her Voice.

  • It was 1987 when a frriend gave me Basia's first "Album" on cassette tape. I have NEVER stopped loving her music, especially her Latin Jazz flavored songs. It's fantastic to see that she is back performing again. God Bless You Basia!

  • BASIA THANKS FOR YOUR BEAUTIFUL AND GREAT VOICE!!!!!!!

  • I love this song, she looks like that chick from the original 90210, Brandon's sister...

  • This song has been stuck in my head too!

  • Nice song, LOVE the vocal mix.

  • Great Song! Great Voice Basia!

  • wonderful song!!!!

  • I looooove basia! :D so glad there videos are on here

  • better with HD

  • Thanx 4 posting this, the video made the song even more beautiful! Hearing it now as an adult I feel like I found something i lost a long time ago.

  • I am sorry but if you dislike this song/video...your life has to be sad. Basia is like an angel. Her voice is enchanting. Her music is so relaxing. And if you dislike that, well....I feel for ya.

  • At first I thought this was Gloria Estefan singing. Basia sounds just like her.

  • @scapegoatwax2001 I totally disagree with you!

  • Love it love it love it. Takes me straight back to my youth :)

  • 94.7 the wave LOS aNGELES

  • Basia is a Brazilian Bossa Nova lover. This song has the BOSSA NOVA beat inside it. Bassia is a great bossa nova singer.

  • @DREDBDASILVA: Basia is not Brazilian.

  • @DREDBDASILVA I agree with you that a lot of her music is heavily influenced by Brazilian Bossa Nova. Basia is the best selling music artist from Poland of all time.

  • Mr. White listens to the Smiths. That's cool.

  • There is and will be beauty in life and in this world, as long as we have Art.

  • OMG! I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS SONG FOR YEARS!! I never knew any of the lyrics save for "second chance" and a mistaken "moving and grooving" for "cruising for bruising"....thank god for the website midomi.com....they listened to my voice and found this song for me!! NOW I CAN FINALLY SLEEP AT NIGHT!! AHAHA! THIS SONG FTW!!!

  • @lovelymasquerade All of Basia's albums re wonderful - this song is from the album London, Warsaw, New York from 1991.

  • This song has so many fond memories for me.

I spent a month in Trinidad Easter 1990 and this just takes me right back there.

  • Just think, we did awesome music like this back in the day without auto tune! Everyone comments on how angelic and good Basia sounds (and she does!) and yet, it's because she's naturally singing on key!! Technology has killed today's music - people now applaud mediocrity. This track is the real deal folks. Beautiful.

  • agree... haven't faded at all

  • this song is so smoooooooth.

  • I honestly don't get what happened to music. These older artists literally sound like ANGELS. 8P

  • No jamma, they simply cannot recognize great music when they hear it. Thanks for the post.

  • publix music

  • @agentrob

Ha! That's where I heard it as well...I totally forget this song, its been so long since I'd heard it.

  • @agentrob i hear this song everytime i work. haha

  • cudze chwalimy swego nie znamy!!!

  • BASIA - WHEN WILL YOU COME BACK TO ME? MISS YOU!

  • She could sing to me anytime. YUM

  • BASIA SOO KICKS IT TIGHT .......... BOBNARLY68 @YAHOO.COM PEACENROLL

  • Oooww! If I could sing that way no man could resisted me!!

  • w0w! i have not heard this song since the wjzz days in detroit and that was 30 yrs. or so ago. sounds good. thanks for posting this one!

  • piekny głos z Jaworzna ;)))

  • I used to love this song....nice to hear it again!

  • love her! what a voice!

CFB is one of my all-time faves...

Basia should've had a much bigger career....

  • Ma świetny głos, ale moim zdaniem jej najlepsza piosenka to"A gift", ta natomiast jest tylko dobra niestety:(

  • This is a bad ass song!!!!

  • I argree with lopez logs.the music is more important than the fashion we eternally go through

  • I love this song

  • she has such a great voice.loved her stuff from the late 80's-early 90's.can't find it on the radio anymore.

  • Gdeiva2003, you said it very well, this days the hormones rule the market.

  • Basiu nie mogę nic więcej podarować, więc zostanę Ci zawsze wierny...

  • CHECK OUT MY CRUISING TRACK WITH SUGA FREE!!!

  • The Cassette tape

  • my all-time favorite BASIA hit! I also likes Basia along with Cyndi Lauper [my all-time fave], Alanis Morissette, Christina Aguilera and Diana Ross among female artists

  • jamal23227: Do you mean "Lady Ca-Ca"? because that what it is. Maybe they can't stand a talented fully dressed real lady with an angel face and a voice that seems like it was custom made for this genre.

  • @alfredgama2

    "Lady Ca-Ca" Hahaahaa!

But really Lady "Ca-Ca" Gaga has no talent and is only appealing to the pre-teens and teenagers who enjoy bubblegum pop.

  • jamal23227: Do you mean "Lady Ca-Ca"? because that what it is

  • Lovely, lovely song. You know Basia's look is timeless here. Beautiful, classy and sophisticated.

  • Basia is just awesome!

  • Great stuff. takes me back in time in a gentle wave of nostalgia...

  • loved her since forever!!

  • This is my favourite Basia tune!!! A great song and record!

  • Wow I've never heard of her, WTH?

  • @AstroHotty If you like her, you see that you've really missed out on a great talent.

    I love Basia! :D

  • @AstroHotty This song is from the 80s. It isn't really played on the radio anymore, so it's possible that was played just a little before your time. But it's still a great song IMO.

  • LOVE IT...I remember all this music from my mom and the car rides to school in the morning, guess that's why I cant listen to the crap on current radio without vomiting just a little bit. GET SATELLITE

  • I have to agree with the international feel ,just enjoying the view.

  • Nostalgia

  • Nasza Basia !!! Niech żyje Polska !!!

  • I first heard this in Toulon France in the late 80's and let me tell you

being from NC this had the International feel ...just walking and enjoying.

  • i love this girl and her music

  • More people should acknowledge Basia. She's a genious!

  • Beautiful voice!! Elegant, soft!! Miss all the good songs and singers, nowadays everything sounds the same...

  • This song hits it right on.."They say true love lasts forever." The best songwriters on the planet coupled with the best singer.

  • ok, i stand corrected, thought it was released in '89 but '90 is borderline.... i like early 90s too but that would be my cut off 70s - early 90s

  • THIS CAME OUT 1990!

  • 80's rock!!! best era in music, same with 70's but i'm an 80's girl!

  • An absolutely fabulous song, singer and music video! Athough this song is bittersweet, I love it nonetheless.

  • I love it!

  • 1989? I think thats when this came out. Best era of music across the board every genre was strong

  • sounds like early Madonna.

  • @crysjumar1 Madonna???? Are you deaf?

  • 14 people must be Lady Ga-Ga fans.

  • @jamal23227 Or people whose parents have never taken the time to expose them to the classics!!!!!

  • @jamal23227 Hahaha. Or Justin Bieber fans.

  • lovely song by basia :)

  • went to a couple of her concerts she is the best very classy woman love her music

  • Even though I was just a kid when this was release, I still enjoy every minute of this breath taking smooth number!

  • yay! my dad had this CD when i was younger and i loved this song, made me so happy to hear it again, thanks!

  • superbe titre de basia!!! le plus beau je trouve!!! j'adorais basia!!!

  • @tomsawyerbr I think she went to Brazil more than once. There's a picture of her and Astrud Gilberto on her Facebook tribute page. There's a lot of Brazilian influence in her music. What I also like about her albums is that she always manages to squeeze in some Polish words or a melody based on Polish folklore.

  • Basia is fantastic!!!!! I'm native from Poland born in the 1979 but living in America now and just went to her concert!!! Her music is truly for everybody!!!

She was really good and got very long and well deserved standing applause!!!! Her music is just very ambitious and this one of the reasons why I like it :-)

  • Basia, lepiej znana i doceniana na Zachodzie niż w Polsce. O czym najlepiej świadczą wpisy, prawie wszystkie w języku angielskim...

  • @arturostwo swojego nie znacie, cudze chwalicie... :)

  • @arturostwo Huh?

  • @arturostwo Yeah, whatever....

  • @arturostwo, no ale jak ma być inaczej skoro ostatni raz Basię słysząłem w RMF FM w 1992 roku a telewizji w 1994.

  • I saw her live last night at the Rams Head 20 years later and she's still got it but Basia was always one of my favorites so I'm biased

  • so...the ex boyfriend comes to tickle the ivories, then leave with the impatient new flame, only to be surpassed by Basis having her Beau drive up at the end? GReat song, C on the video

  • I just saw her on 30 October in Niagara Falls, and she and her band were incredible. The new songs on her new album are excellent. She's back!

  • Her voice is timeless. Like ancient poetry etched into stone near the earliest settlements, she is evocative and her body matches the singing. You could almost see her as the tribal leader of an Amazon kingdom thousands of years ago.

  • Basia is awesome, should have been much more popular than she was!

  • This is one of my fav songs when I was a student as opposed to all of my friends(Tanokin fanatics^^;). Basia has beautiful looks & voice! Btw, R Polish all good looking like her? ^^

  • Wow I forgot all about Basia. My mom used to play her records all the time when I was little. Her songs transport me right back to childhood, and simpler times. It's been too long since I last heard her. Wonderful music!

  • exquisita cancion

  • Basia is fantastic.

  • She has such a great voice and unique sound. I love her music.

  • make more songs like this one...with a smooth beat to go with your smooth voice...Muah..love it, don't care what it means...

  • Love this song thanks for sharing.

  • Basia jest wspaniała, właśnie wróciłam z jej koncertu, załuję że się skończył tak szybko. Basiu, przyjeżdżaj do Szczecina cześciej, zapraszamy Cię.

    Basia i wielbiciele

  • My favorite song i can listen to it over and over , voice from heaven.

  • よろしおすな~~。

  • Ekaterina..........

  • another wonderful timeless song!! Gotta love the 80's!

  • QUE DIRE?? UN DES CHEFS D OEUVRES INJUSTEMENT DECLASSE PAR D AUTRES COMPLAINTES INEGALEES ...

  • This song is just so smooth a very nice groove!!!!

  • Like any other Basia's songs, this worth a million likes and zero dislike.

  • Lose the hat!....chump! how dare he shun Spacey!

  • I really like it. My behalf like it too..

  • I really like it. My behalf like it too..

  • Love her voice, very tantalizing seems to say "come, share some time with me so we can get better acquainted!". Gives that warm, fuzzy feeling inside. I enjoy listening to her songs.

  • Beautiful voice and a beautiful woman. Saw her live in 1983. Miss her and wish she had kept recording, but I believe she wanted to raise a family, just like Anita Baker, who didn't record for 10 years. It's very hard to get back on the charts if you're gone for that long. The stars that have been around for 20 years or longer have put out a record every few years at least. Basia and Sade and Anita Baker all have hauntingly beautiful and sophisticated voices.

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • A favourite twenty years ago and still a favourite 20 years later.

  • Beautiful woman with a beautiful voice

  • @sergiomalave Basia to Polka. / polish girl/.

  • i love basia, i use to listen this song in mexico and is simply celstial song

  • Reminds me of a month I spent in Trinidad 1990. Listening to this I am back there, with this on the radio of my old car--times never to be repeated again......

  • She was cool until she vanished into the thin air. That Grey's Anatomy song "Cosy in the Rocket" has about the same beat as this song. Does anyone have an original thought anymore or doesn't it matter?

  • Sent it to my now ex-boyfriend after I broke up with him...

  • Such a great song......Thanks youtube for those finds like this one worth listening....

"Give you my soul" by Mo'Sean

  • this song is haunting. hmm love the chorus.

  • The music is a really great American rumba. The tempo is perfect and so is the rhythmic variation of the 4/4 signature

  • Beauty killed the beast.......

  • bittersweet but poetic...i wonder what happened to basia....

  • @Kellogs43able she just finished an American tour. I saw her in Jacksonville and Melbourne, Fl. She is still incredible.

  • @Kellogs43able ...she just finished a short American tour. I saw her in Jacksonville and Melbourne, Fl. She's still as great as ever!

  • This is a song no matter how many times I hear it, it never gets old. Gotta love Basia!

  • My mama used to play this song all the time while we were growing up!

  • Cant believe I never heard of her before... beautiful music!

  • Basia's a cutey-pie, but she's cruisin for a bruisin...

  • i really love basia... song...

  • I saw her in concert tonight and she freakin rocks!!!!

  • Saw basia perform this song in Cleveland Ohio last nite and she is still great.

  • 1990 classic!

  • A) I love this song, and B) I love songs like this. I miss that "echo-y-smoothness" that came with the early 90s. It's hard to describe, but this song's "background beat" is similar to Sade's "Ordinary Love" or "Sweetest Taboo", or Lisa Stansfield's "Been around the world".

  • wow! i haven't heard that in a while! still sounds great!

  • This is one of the best songs recorded....ever.

  • Baśka jak zwykle czaruje dźwiękami, mega super

  • LOVE this song, and the guy playing the piano is HOT!!

  • Great cruisin' song....a long time favorite :-) Thank you!

  • Heather Lorraine Teeter, where are you?

  • everything after the 90's pretty much has sucked

  • Love this song!!! Thanks - Julio - Brasil

  • Dedicated to my granddaughter - Mae

  • What a beautiful love song....great lyrics!!!!

  • I love this song.

  • basia was the original female singer to the matt bianco band in the early 80's

  • Basia's song are still the best

  • Beautiful song but so sad.

  • BASIA SUPER SONG

  • The Best song that I´ve ever ear, see or enjoy!!!!

  • this song got a lotta of airplay back in the days.. I still hear it from time to time.. very good song

  • Really pretty..

    What country is she from?

  • @sscarzz wisconsin

  • @sscarzz she is from Poland

  • @sscarzz her full name is Basia Trzetrzelewska, bit difficult ;)

  • @vivatom1 I have heard that the equivilant of her name in English is Barbra.

  • Thats the best love song that i know...it`s good to see that so many people likes that song...everytime i see david letterman here in brazil i hope to see an interview with her coz i just know her songs...a few songs...nothing about the singer

  • @tomsawyerbr i love basia.i remember my young age!!!.i have 36 y o.

  • today is a happy day!! I have been searching for this song for about 10 years.... reciting some of the lyrics to people to see if they knew it... Kind of like Al Bundy where all he had was the melody and one word to a song he was looking for... remember?? "hhmmm hmm him" - turned out to be - Anna (go to him) by Arthur Alexander. thanks for this post!! you just took me back to the days of BMX bikes, corner store trips, fun dip and road hockey goalie pads made of discarded foam

  • One of my all time favs at my old job found myself singing along too many nights closing...

  • makes me sad

  • this song came out in the winter of 1990 or 1991

  • Correct. It's almost 20 years old.

  • It doesn't sound 20 years old.
