  • Randy Bachman is the Brian Wilson of Canada

  • My Goodness...... I watch this all the time and love it, but Jeepers creepers who is the chick on the intro.....Sounds rather like a skank

  • this is a Rush Limbaugh lead in song from commercial,RUSH is the Man,don't believe the commie liars!

  • but it does sound like him now!

  • I love it when they raise the flag, and when the singer is acting all govy on the piano.

  • I love Chad's and Burt's vocal's on this song, can't choose one over the other both are awesome. Love the Guess Who.

  • the full length from the orig. VHS is available on Piratebay.... it's 4g but worth it.

  • Also .... This was originally a Johnny and the Pirates song from 1960 , The Who never recorded this song. I have checked and if someone can show me what lp its on or when it charted just say. Burtons voice on this is awesome and he always was the closest to Chad Allen on the vocals on this song

  • @mactheref YouTube has a bootleg version of the Who performing this at Woodstock

  • @mac:The Who: "Live at Leeds", Release 5/16/70, MCA/Polydor, Side1/Track4: "Shakin' All Over" (J. Kidd)

  • Great Post... Only thing is ... This video was taken at the CNE Grandstand at the Stadium NOT the bandshell The bandshell area was not capable of supporting the crowd or the bands equipment. How do I know this???? I was there and it was awesome because I also saw them at the CNE Granstand in 69 and it was a great show as well

  • BURTON.... Timeless........ yeahhhhhhh !! ♫♪♫♫

  • does any body give a rats ass what i think? probably not. but i still think the who's live at leeds version is the best. it probably has a lot to do with the fact that i was alive during that time, 1967, i was 13, and i just remember feeling the energy, and power in that song, and the fact that it was new. but the guess who did a good job with "american woman" in 1970. 1983, they should have gone to bed, and taken that announcer with them.

  • @m1kewithaone Both the Who (1970) and the Guess Who (with Chad Allan, 1965) did a kick-ass version of this song. I am a Who fan myself, and I do like their version. The Guess Who also kicks ass with the song as well.

  • @rocknrollroy2007 i just re-read what i wrote, and i was thinking maybe i was a little harsh, maybe. i am very moody these days, quitting drugs and all kinda gives me the shakes in my thigh bone... but then, when i had to listen to this announcer again, made me want to pull out what remaining teeth i still have left... oh, oh, ok, i'm calming down now. yes, i can see myself liking this song done by guess who. i will listen again.

  • @m1kewithaone That broad drives me nuts too .

  • @shakedownstreet48 she sounds like she's coming down from a heroin spin.

  • Jesus she is annoying. someone shove a dink in her mouth already

  • @PALLADINARC jesus, Popeye could have done a better job than her!!!

  • uh,,,how bout a lil less talk and alot more action,,,lol,,the intro ate up the whole thing! cool tune tho.............

  • Back when it was cool to look like a fat TOTO. They sound good... but I miss Chad Allen.

  • which part of Toronto\??

  • @johnniefive This was put together from two shows at the CNE Bandshell in Toronto in 1983. Thanks for watching!

    John

When i say n'er dowells of course I am speaking of you and I!! We are no beter than any one else All I want in lofe is to go about my day to day , and have others respect my boundaries, live MY life and god bless everyone elsebecause yoi tried so hard!

  • Are you serious...

  • they sound really good live

  • Chad Allen....

  • i think bc did a better job doing this than chad allen did

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • I can play this on drums, our school band is playing it (:

  • good question I also wondered

  • Did Burt do the original lead vocal for the original hit? I say that because whenever I listen to it, it just doesn't sound like the Burt Cummings voice we are all familiar with.

  • The lead singer on this song is Chad Allan. This song was recorded before Burton Cummings joined the group in late 1965.

    Thanks for watching!

    John

  • BTW, Chad Allan's real name is Allan Kowbell. He changed it to sound more British.

  • @jellowrestling

    More Kow Bell!!lol!

  • @jrsn2cars

    Its still beautiful!

  • @fadguru Strangely enough, because I'm a Guess Who fan, and think Burton's

an elite vocalist, I prefer Chad's rendition of this, it just seemed to fit its time and the

    early development of the group.

  • @fadguru I agree it doesn't sound like Burton on original

  • o ma in qst tempi gruppi cm i who te li puoi solo rikordare xkè nn ci saranno più gruppi così ormai regna il commerciale

  • Thanks for posting. GREAT!! TIMELESS !!

     When was this ?

  • This concert was in 1983. Thanks for watching!

    John

  • @jrsn2cars Wonder what Burton was saying at the end of the song?It looked like he was telling someone they would sing the song they wanted in a few minutes.

  • I thought this was going to be a cheese-fest, but these guys were still rockin'!

  • Is that Randy Bachman of Bachman Turner Overdrive? I saw The Guess Who

    with Randy in Toledo, Ohio.

  • Yes it is! Randy Bachman was a member of the Guess Who before forming Bachman Turner Overdrive. Thanks for watching!

    John

  • Wow, I had no idea there were so many people there. We got there early and were in the tenth row, center...WOW....good times!....

  • AMAZING SONG!
