  • I am done with it after only three days on semi dry fasting..please contact me if you have any questions and want to know more

  • To you. O lord Jesus i cry and to the Lord Jesus i plead for mercy. what profit is there in my death

  • Even with more awareness, it will become another "cancer".

Always looking for new "treatments", with no intention of ever finding a cure. It's pretty much destroyed my life as well I'm at least 2 weeks into a no sodium/bread/nuts/juice/etc. diet and I don't feel any different.

Marshmallow root/slippery elm/aloe is supposed to work over a 2-5yr span so I can't tell if that's working either.

  • Men, don't rule out IC if you are experiencing pelvic pain. Although I've not yet been diagnosed with IC, I am 99% certain that I have it as I have all the classic symptoms. don't waste years of suffering, taking drugs that do nothing, and getting nowhere. When all other diagnosis and treatment fail and you are still in pain. Suggest to your Dr. the possibility of IC. I pray that a cure is found before I get any older. I've had this pain most of my life and I'm sick of it.

  • I went to doctors and a urologist for years believing my problem was my prostate.

After taking about every prostate drug with no relief my urologist gave up on me. I found another urologist who provided me information on IC. Since then I've read up on IC and grew discouraged after reading how hard it is to diagnose and that there is no cure. Recently I had a flare-up so bad I thought I would go insane. They previously thought that only women get IC but I'm here to say that man also suffer.

  • Unfortunately, men, from what I've read are more difficult to treat. All you men out there, good luck, I wish you much better health SOON! I care-- I like men.

  • @justice4J this is true.. it has been a nightmare for me.

  • I too, have a severe case of IC. Nice to find vids for helps and other folks who too suffer w/ this. I wasn't formally diagnosed till later on as well, and believe I had it long before. I use prelief and other things, but find no real relief from this awful disease!

  • I just started taking Prelief before I eat meals and drinking baking soda in water when I need it. Others swear by it, hope it works for me too.

  • I have a severe case of IC im glad there are some videos up to educate people on how bad this can actually be...if any of you want to chat i have been suffering from this since age 13 but wasnt formally diagnosed until 20...message me and i will send u my sn

  • hi all, just to let u know, there has been a new strain of bartonella that has been discovered ,that specifically attacks the bladder and causes i.c problems.its called Proteo Bactor Rheumatica. there is an article just about to be released about this, and this could be a key to unlocking I.C

  • I wish we had Elmiron in Australia, I had 2 cystoscopies, but still no diagnosis, I'm sick of living like this!!

Australie is WAY behind with meds for IC, now my dr is taling me of my meds too!! he has no idea how painful this condition is!!

  • I'm so sorry to hear that. Hang in there -- I just wanted to let you know that I have IC, and took Elmiron for years with no positive results.... Personally, what's worked for me is Physical Therapy and Pain Meds (narcotics). I don't know how your health care system works -- but it sounds like you need seek out a new doctor. Hang in there!

  • There's a lot you can do without meds or relying on a doctor. I just recently diagnosed myself with IC & urologist was useless. The following books I mention describe natural treatments which for many are better than meds:

    Along the Healing Path

    and

    Solving the Interstitial Cystitis Puzzle

I also recommend doing a search for "interstitial cystitis supplements" in google.

For some people, the supplement quercetin or marshmallow root herb alone have done wonders.

    Hope you find relief soon!

  • IC is like having CANCER and most doctors think becuz the test keep coming back clean that the pain is all in our head. I had to travel twice to the USA to get the necessary meds becuz Trinidad is also backward with medication :( Hang in there hon. I will pray for you. Just dont eat n e spicy foods.

  • One viral UTI from a hot tub and now I'm at 20 months of this nasty disease. I can't believe how bad the nerve pains get! My main methods of controlling my IC are a really strict (and I mean STRICT) DIET and Marcaine/Heparin/Elmiron Bladder INSTILLS 3x/week. They're easy and worth it... I highly recommend.

  • I have had IC for a couple years. My doctors have been less than helpful, but by changing my diet I have controlled it so far. No pop or coffee! Drink LOTS of water. I'm so sick of water. Spicy foods in moderation. And try to avoid stress as much as possible. When I have a bout, prayer and an understanding wife help ease the pain. Best of luck to other IC sufferers!

  • dumb question how do you see the video in its entirety. new to this

  • this is wonderful. when i got IC in 1992 there was no internet and I felt totally alone with this horrendous disease. I have since learned to manage it and am in remission. I hope these videos continue.

  • If anybody out there has problems with both IC and antidepressant withdrawals (seratonin problems) please get ahold of me - I think there's a connection.

  • You can review this book on the ICNetwork

  • I want to thank all those who made this video possible. This disease can dramatically change one's life.

I would like to mention a great book just released for those who are having a difficult time with intimacy. Check out;'Please Understand' An IC Guide for Partners.Written by two IC knowledgable couples.

Well known to the IC population.

    Thanks Again!

  • It's a great guide...IC and intimacy can be VERY tricky.

  • Can a person actually have intimacy with IC. I know everytime I have sex I end up in the emergency room with flare-ups :( Its ruining my life although I have a caring bf.

  • I'm SO sorry and can relate. Check out this book and other info from the ICA on intimacy issues. I've had to learn that sex and intimacy are two different things...I think you have to figure out what works best for both of you.

  • this video about ic is wonderful i live with ic and know how painful this chronic illness can be

  • Thank you so much for this video to spread awareness of Interstitial Cystitis. I suffer from IC and so many people do not know what it is or how miserable it can be. IC has changed my life. It is a terrible chronic pain illness.

  • I'm very pleased to see awareness programs on this illness. I would love to see more information about individuals who have been helped with both traditional and nontraditional treatments. It's difficult to talk about this illness, so these types of promotion help to soften the issues around the topic. I am very hopeful that this program will bring more funding into the programs that are working to find a cure.

  • I have IC and it is miserable! I can't eat any of my favorite foods and the pain is unbelieveable. Thanks for posting this.

  • My bladder won't let me eat ANYTHING anymore! I get frequency attacks after every meal and severe urgency attacks after sex. 13 pounds lost so far in under a month..... but I totally hear ya on the food. I miss chocolate so much.

  • This commercial is great. I can't wait for it to come out on TV. I've suffered with IC for many years with little to no understanding from Drs, family, and friends. Having a Dr validate IC ~ I hope it helps.

  • Thankyou for posting this. I got an unidentified UTI from a hot tub Feb 17th 2007 and the others in the tub got eye and ear infections. Now almost 5 months later my bladder is worse than ever with all bacteria gone. This has destroyed my lifestyle with diet and other restrictions, forcing me to face this illness.

  • You are not alone. It is estimated that more people suffer from IC than from Alzheimer's yet the research money just isn't forthcoming yet. Check out the IC website for support group information.
