As for genetically modified food, we've been doing that for much longer than you would expect. Corn, broccoli, beef and almost every other type of "natural" food you say we should be eating has been modified by humans through selective breeding and is in no way different from direct modification.

This was roughly a year ago. Cap N Trade just passed. It's going to do nothing for climate change. All it's going to do is setup another Wall Street Gaming Casino trading in Carbon Credits.

Then Banks and corporations will profit, the people will be impoverished and nothing will change Global warming.

As Venter said himself some of the Enviromental Scientists told him it's too late. The Global warming train has left the station.

You may be right, though I sincerely hope that you aren't. We have to fight the good fight against irrationality. A crisis in which science comes to the rescue might be just what we need to sway the hearts and minds of the next generation.
