this isnt spam. if you enjoy the 90s nastalgia and was a kid in the 90s then please check out my facebook page called 90s kids tv. at the end of facebook dot com put /90skidstv i hope you all enjoy, thank you :)
What about the episode where that tree-girl fell in love with the one boy because he peed on her tree?! Thats the kind of stuff you can only find in the deepest corners of the internet nowadays.
Yeah I have to agree with @MadHatter3Z3 here... Does "Josef Fritzl" sound like an Australian name? Or more Austrian? Wow. I don't know people mix them up. I'm Australian, and my Austrian friend and I can't figure out how people don't pay attention to anything.
@JackRabbitSlim aha, i agree, shows like this prove aussies (not all but many) have become anal-retentive uptight snobs! i love pre mid-90's or even pre- 1990 was the real deal.
@frubo Same here. Rainy days were great, I actually didn't like this show (idk why) when I first started school, but by the time I left primary school, I loved it.
Probably the most fucked up kids show to ever be seen on the ABC.
I liked that episode where Bronson found that turtle and he had to take it somewhere and he also had feet that smelled so bad it caused people to fall unconscious after smelling them.
It makes you wonder what Paul Jennings was smoking when he came up with the stories for this show.
Growing up in Canada in the 90s, our kids channel was called YTV (youth tv). And since being from Canada we got a lot of British and Australian tv shows, including Round the Twist!!! I just saw it on the of the screen and feraked out b/c i totally forogt about this show! In Canada we grew up on this show too! SO GOOD! ... Thanks Aussies!
1/2 If there is ever a fifth season of Round the Twist, it should be set 12 years after the forth, baby Ariel (now grown up) is living in the lighthouse with Tony and Faye, Pete is married to Fiona and living in Nell's house, Nell has since passed away, Linda has become a Nurse and works alongside Matron Gribble (who harasses her constantly about Dad selling the lighthouse), Bronson has gone to university, Tony still has trouble from Gribble who is still trying to get the Twists out of the...
Certainly was '89 - Bronson gets himself a Commodore Amiga in the first episode and in 'Spaghetti Pigout' he's got Pete connected to an Atari 400/800 (not sure exactly which) measuring chewing rate... back then you had to program your own games if you wanted to play something no one else had. Now it's all off the shelf. Sad.
I remember when this was on tv in england, children were forever sending letters to the tv channel telling the presenters to stop talking through the song. After a year of this the presenters acknowledged the requests...which they said during the song, lol
oh I remember this. I was thinking about the song but couldn't remember the name of the show. I knew it had "twist" in it. I think there was one episode with a meremaid in, wasn't there?
The Gumleaf War, Santa Claws and Spaghetti Pigout were my total faves out of this series
especially the various computers Bronson owned - the Commodore Amiga in 'Skeleton on the Dunny' and the Atari 800 measuring Pete's chewing capacity in 'Spaghetti Pigout'
I used to LOVE watching this as a kid, and this one, with the original kids in there was the best, they repalaced one or two of the kids in the family...and it was never the same.
Damn! You just took me back in time about 20 years! I was a bout the age of the little kid there at the time and the older sister actually looks like my sister used to at the time :P
I'm pretty sure the only episode of Round the Twist people remember is when one of the lads wees on a tree, becomes pregnant and he gives birth through his mouth.
I remember this on Children's ITV here in the UK, I loved it...Seeing Judith McGrath and Richard Moir was surreal after seeing them in Prisoner when they were younger, around about the time this aired...Poor Richard I read that he had to quit acting because he was diagnosed with MS or something in the early 90s, I read it on Wikipedia ages ago, so I might have got the illness wrong..Did anyone else hate the way the cast kept on changing actors/characters?..Thank you for the upload :-)
@zombieoutbreakprod Wow, really, you're about 13 or 14 and you remember this? I think I remember watching this back in the mid 90's, how was it still around for you to watch in the mid 00's (which would be around the time you saw it if I guess correctly)? New series or reruns?
