Definately one of the better tutorials for art on youtube for me. Being a self taught artist im trying to find more proper methods since lately ive been meeting alota problems, this will definately be of use to me so many thanks for starting it :D
hey dude, this tutorial is realy great, but to make it fit for noobs like me you should explain how to set up the brushes and every tool you use...
because i just see what you do, but i dont know which tools you use (for example if you use the smudge tool for blending or just use the colors to blend)
personally, i used to like grids especially when i was first taught how to use them, but now i find it tedius having to draw out everything in every single square. i much prefer proportionate drawing.
but the grid method, i do encourage for beginners.
Thanks man! that will help alot

meh, I see grid using as cheating, beginners should learn to draw from life without the aid of a grid

I'm using 5 different layers.
1. A white background layer
2. A layer for the gradient backend (at the end)
3. A layer for his jacket
4. A layer for his face
5. A layer for the grid (which I turn on and off periodically)
