David Carradine did an awesome job playing Justin!  I hated his character but admired him for how well he played him. :)

I first saw North & South in 1989 and I've been loving it ever since. I still see it each summer and enjoy it every time. And back then as well as now, my favourite scenes are the ones at Resolute and with Justin. When I learned about Davids tragic death, it made me really sad. A great actor who outshines everybody in this series.

That made me respect him as a great actor!

God that made my laugh for weeks as Justin raises his words like you should be in you ROOM!!, I said got to your ROOM!!, your not leaving this HOUSE!!!,

me & my sister did a spoof of this instead of Justin turning to them two people Justin knocks down Madaline laughs & he says"get up & fight like a man"!!!!, but what made me laugh is when just gets his eye cut, what would he do if Madaline came back 3 hours after she cut his eye?

Yes, that´s right, she was an angel... too much an angel for me. It bothered me sometimes how passive she was. always a lady, always a victim, always being rescued. even Brett, the other little angel, was more resolute and put Ashton back in her place... But Madeline just went away when Ashton threatened her, she never fought back ! I think a little bit more temper would not have been bad...
