the problem is that Windows 7 isn't dynamic enough when it comes to their overall interface

for example, when using the touchscreen to switch between pictures, there is no smooth image->image transition, its just an abrupt "new image" switch

if they are going to take the idea from apple, they might as well finish the job and use the fluid photo switching the iphone/ipod touch has

The problem is that Apple recently got a patent that makes it so nobody can flick through photos like the iphone does.

windows isnt meant to be complicated. since its one of the first windows to fully implement touch screen to this capability, give it a bit of time. windows was made to be simple for end users, and since its just a promo, give it a few years, maybe windows 8 might do a better job :P

Well the touch driver or program the wondows is using on that is either the same or identicle to my 22" hp touchsmart and i am very disapointed in it. its ok to use on large icons like program tabs but as far as anything else you might as well use a mouse.

You have to use the scroll bar to scroll down through your photos? That sucks. On the iPhone you can flick down anywhere and the OS can tell you didn't want to view that photo you "may have" touched, you wanted to scroll. I know it's Beta, so we'll see how this pans out. Microsoft better step up their game though.

it would get so annoying having to move your hand that much, considering the amount of movement it takes to move your mouse across the screen, they should be making ways for you to do it when your sat down with a hand touch pad and integrate it into media center

This is the type of stuff I was hoping Windows would do. Something Apple hasnt done. Just hope that you can do more than just use ur finger instead of a mouse. That wouldn't be impressive.
