So the situation doesn't change! The plaintiff already lost $3000 and the defendant nowt. Now the plaintiff has lost $1500 and the defendant has still lost nowt because the show will be paying her $1500! Final result: plaintiff still out money, defendant still no financial change!
In this case, it's not that the Defendant doesn't understand the synopsis being posed to her by Judge Judy. Its that she doesn't agree with the Judge's logic. So in using a child's mentality; she is just blocking it out. The equivalent of her sticking both fingers in her ears, and saying, "La La La, I don't hear you!". My dad was a Police Chief and he took up smoking to help keep him up, his PD (before laws change) smelled of cigarettes for along time, but I loved the smell of it. Yes, Great Britain includes Wales, Scotland (you forgot N Ireland, too), but if someone refers to Scotland specifically, they would say Socttish or Scotch. If someone is referring to Wales, they would typically say Welsh. If someone refers to England, they typically say "British" or less often, "English." At least that's been my experience.

Then after you give the other 94 people a lengthy explanation of the differences in the terms British vs. English, then asked all 94, once again, to explain what they are, you might get 4 people who get it right the 2nd time. @reymatt76 Hi. Great Britain doesn't include Northern Ireland but United Kingdom does. Scottish people aren't called Scotch but Scots or Scottish. You are right about Welsh. And English people can be called either English or British.But the problem is when Britain is referred to as England (or British as English) - it really annoys the Welsh, Scottish and Irish. I am part Scots, part Welsh and part English btw. :)

For instance, consider yourself as an example. Notice how you just want to smoke more by seeing these commercials. I think these commercials use a technique called reverse psychology. What I mean is that instead of getting the reaction out of smokers that we would expect, we get the opposite; they smoke more. (cont.)

Why would they release anti-smoking commercials and risk losing customers and money. I actually think that commercials that promote smoking have a reverse affect.
