see theres one thing no one understands he ways 1000 pounds,his armour indestructable, and he cant break bones i mean even in the game sometimes you dont die from a freakin plasma grenade and this doesnt match the game ending so i think its wrong but he doesnt die its just a comercial

he didnt die,if you play like on normal or heroric or legendary and beat the game you can see that he was in the other half of the ship,he goes in the cryo tube and sleeps.

@wbtrex08: alright, but 'master chief' is actually his rank (Master Chief Petty Officer or MCPO, that's just two below Ensign (or four below captain), if I'm not mistaken. That's the rank in US Navy, which Halo's UNSC is based on), wonder why he hadn't got promoted for what he did

Personally I think it's good that the guy who made Halo at least took his design specs with him. We always see in the video game world when the makers don't take their specs, the company releases a shitty knockoff part... if Halo 4 ever exists, it'll surely be epic.
