  • Great car! The b18c-R IS A SUPERIOR CHOICE! I actually prefer that over the FA5 man! Well good luck with it, and post some vid's- I personally would love to hear that b18c-r !!

  • Really? Aw man will you miss it? What did you buy? I bought my 2007 FA5 last year. It's my 3rd one! LOL!

I'm thinking of selling mine, but not sure what to get.....

  • @Hondahead03 the car was sold at august 2011 with 65 000kms, I/E/H + FP dyno tuned at 214whp.. and yes I really miss it but i wanted to reduce my montly paiement for a car.. i bought a 2000 civic coupe with b18c type-r engine.. really fun to drive and almost same performance but nothing to compare to my old Fa5 for all the rest.. I will post video of that type-r after the winter !

  • What happened to all of your other videos ?

  • @Hondahead03 deleted all cause the car was for sale :P

  • cant decide between the cai or the sri. both have their advantages >:(

  • Lol who said this car pushes 176-178..lol thought it was 197-98, atleast that's what the manual says and even other Si drivers...can't really say how much HP would the SRI add tho...whatever..Vtec= orgasm!! Lol

  • Is that 1.8 engine?

  • @PanccoVanilla its a 2.0 vtec.

  • Nice intake sound. Dude u shift nice too. You know how to stay within the high rpms. I-vtec is going insane in that 2.0L

  • @lflcoast hey how much hp do u now have i know its 197 stock?

  • @Samimiamiv1 its 197 stock. on that video I only have SRI K&N that not really give power with stock ECU.

  • @888typer888 elle vien dusine avec de la syntec moi aussi je suis rendu a la changer pour la premirre fois et je vais mettre castrol syntec!! car je profite du vtec sinon castrol ordinaire.

  • Ok, i should have said, BETTER, a ram intake and a magnaflow exhaust. and if you want to race, got a 12.5 PSI turbo installed DUDE, ya im pushing exactly, 312.6HP. OUCH!!! But hey i still think your car sounds good ok? So just take the commpliment.

  • Vtec!!!!!

  • Sounds great, i have a 09 corolla S and it sounds exactly the same.

  • @slav801 ya you wish it sounded like a si

  • Love the camera angle.

  • @jcdebbs Thanks! I sould do new vids with all my news mods. In this video I only have the SRI. Since I add race headers, catback, flashpro w/ custom tune.

  • @lflcoast *should

  • sounds amazingg

  • I have an EM1 and I love it, only just seen this new si coupe about 3 weeks ago!! Can you not get them in the UK? I'd love one.

  • oh fuck ! we can easily hear the v tec !!

  • always wear your seat belt bitch

  • AEM FTW son!

  • @Locbui1989 Whats the difference except it did'nt have stack and heatshield on it? Oh and I forget it did'nt have hole for OEM lower tube

  • yo man this sounds really clean! what mods do you have other than the Intake? cuz your changeover pops!

  • @funkyfreshpnoy Nothing at all man. But now I have a lot of other thing check up my videos

  • Thanks for posting this. Great video/sound. I just ordered one for my '08 Si. I can't wait to bolt it up.

  • I bought a KN sri because of this video. Best sounding intake for this car. Yes it is that loud.

  • nice vtec sound !

  • i got my 07 for cheaper then the rsx and its new inside and out... i was in the market for a rsx 05 06 t.s but a majority of them have been raped inside out... very happy with a fg2 and istead of wasting 4k on a lsd tranny i would buy a ajp turbo kit 4psi 300hp .. i dont see why honda didnt put a lsd in the type s , i preffer my seats and get a lsd tranny , so keep your leather and "peg leg" tranny. pullin to the right.

  • yo to answer you question i also have drivin a rsx type s . 06 asm color. car looks great leather feels great but i dont like there tranny. to rough and 3rd gear is bad on it , honda knows it but wont recall. pretty fast not what i was expecting, i know because i drove a vivid blue pearl with 27k miles, test drive... still didnt buy the car wanted to much 4 it. ended up with a fg2 .it came with headers+cat 2 back injen intake way faster and it has lsd, i preffer the red stitch type r style seats

  • malade ton son

  • lol ye malade le sond du vtec

  • i'm sorry, but i could drive that all day, 75% throttle just lettin it creep up, and BAM like a load of fuckin bricks at 5,800. all day, that sound, is so cool, i would put a 100,000 miles on it in one year, pro drivin man, just as i would do it, not obnoxious all the time like all the other videos's but i mean damn that sound is sick.

  • What can a short ram intake do for a car? I'm unclear on what exactly it does, lol

  • you asains love it short huh..

  • Le son est super sur ce vidéo =D hehe

  • how much hp?

  • @FelipeGT2 about 200 :P

  • @lflcoast thats to the crank not the wheel.u probably got 176-178hp

  • mmmmm!!

  • Nice sound..That's honda

  • It is one of the best video we can clearly ear the real VTEC sound of the real life! nice video

  • I have an 07 si and love it. Some cars get better results out of the short ram intakes rather than the full air intake systems. Does anyone know if the si is one of the vehichles that would be better with just a short ram intake?

  • sick ass sound

  • i want an Si so bad!

  • his shifts are perfect. Dropping your clutch doesn't make the car go faster. People are always happen about "chirping" 2nd and 3rd gear but they don't realize thats a bad thing =(

  • he's pretty damn good at shiftin smooth

  • i love the K&N series intakes. I had the FIPK on my S2000 and the vtec crossover sounded just like this one. I miss that car :(

  • sounds nice but cant shift...

  • @integrafan01 what wrong with the shifts? he just doesnt kill his clutch

  • @CivicSportInjected no one said he had to "kill" his clutch, he jus shift slow. his trans, gears, synchros, and likages can handle some speed shifting.

  • @integrafan01 are you kidding? his shifts are perfect.

  • @steamedturtle.....slow. and not that great.

  • i just bought my 2008 si i love it.....

  • nice sound... hope your engine is warm thoug..

  • the vtec didnt engage if the engine is not warm. so yes!

  • That is nice. Didn't know that.. Keep up the good work!

  • speaking of it not engaging when its cold... I tried to go into vtec when mine was cold once... biggest mistake ever and i will never again...I felt like I hurt my car cause vtec didnt engage. it sounded weird too.

  • @lflcoast Are you a little bit slow or something.. v-tec is set to kick in at RPM.. Has nothing to do with whether the motor is warm or cold. Fucking dumb ass ricer.

  • @mynameisray The vtec will never engage until the engine is up to 60¤ C so continu to play at NFSU litle bastard :)

  • @lflcoast I never knew that I daren't take mine above 3500rpm till it's warmed up lol

  • @lflcoast really? u work for honda?

  • @lflcoast I found this out like a month after i bought my civic. Oils to thick to lock the VTEC lifters.

  • @lflcoast my buddy has a tuned si and vtec pops at 3500.

  • @poonpiratex420 check my others videos. my SI is now I/E/H + tune the vtec engage at 4600

  • @lflcoast omg you have no idea how hard i laughted at this omfg so so funny

  • @Roelzter just put my K&N short ram in my 99 civic<333

sounds so mean! haha , but roelster why do you hope its warm :/ ?

  • freaking awesome. love the sound. and nice camera placement too.

  • ddo you have a short shifter? looks like your throws are nice and short.. very nice man

  • wow that intake makes your vtec crossover super aggressive

  • sound so good, love it.

  • nice shifting

  • Holy Honda Bat-Man, VTEC just been engaged!

    Vrooo(VTEC)BEEEERRM!!! ~Trevor Morris

    Great vid B

  • i notice the new civic's have a rev hang?

  • Dam people hook the hell out of Civics, I personally prefer Mitsubishi's and Nissans but whatever works with you!

  • thats why i drive them....they rev high are good on gas and reliable

  • I'm new in k&n stuff.. But I wanna get it on my new civic.. Do I need the entire pipe.. or just the air filter?? I'm interested on getting more HP's..

  • don't get short ram, there's no point, you only get 5-8 hp. get cold long ram intake

  • not a huge diff really

  • lol cold long ram intake. just say cold air intake, but most peoples reasons for getting short ram is because it give you better acceleration at lower rps, cold air give you more power at higher speeds and rpms.

  • that wud b soo much fun to drive

  • Just wanted to say car sounds wicked! And good shifting!

  • Thx everybody

  • good shifting man

  • Comment removed

  • So dont watch Honda movie

  • what are your thoughts on the rsx type - s ...have u driven one ?...

  • yes i drived two and i loved it.

  • @lflcoast What feels better the SI or the Type S?

  • @590221010 Stock for stock, Type-s. But now i'm I/E/H with flashpro custum tuned at 213whp and i love it. Type-s have no LSD that the only problem with this car

  • whaaaaaaaaaaaa whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa 0-60 in million years. V-tec yo!

  • Sounds so healthy !!

  • is this the 57i Performance Injection Kit ?

  • hitting vtec greatly...good driving!!

  • sounds good. great driving too.

  • V-Tec Baby

    I Love Hondas

  • sounds like victory!!

    fucking love that switch

  • Sounds great. The intake is your only mod? I really like the vtec switchover - it's very pronounced, which is good because I like the auditory feedback so I can look away from my tach.

  • skeet skeet

. the short ram makes it seem like a multi-staged vtec. love it.

  • shifting is nice, ur still on the clutch a little while leanin on the throttle

  • amazed how okay this car sounds with just an intake and stock exhaust.

  • i just bought mine!!!

  • Agreed, nice shifting

  • sounds good.nice shifting

  • the best i-vetc i hear!!

  • Sounds good. Love these cars with just intake on them but not with aftermarket exhaust.

  • Yep ur right the stock makes the perfect sound.

  • intake and testpipe goes prefectly!with stock exhaust that is.

  • narlouge jner une et puis ou tu ecrise dans le banc aek le si vtec

  • You can hear the extra cams kick in at 6000rpm. all though dude is shifting early

  • best sounding intake for the si

  • técrase tu dans le banc avec ste char la.....ca la juste 138 lbs de torque

  • holy moly i cant get enough of that sound!

  • Sounds badass. Is the sri your only mod?

  • yes ;)

  • Sweet. I gotta get one for my Si.

  • is that a racing sweater?

  • Hahaha!

  • I could listen to that sound all day long.

  • haha :)

  • Nice man. I have an 09 Si and i'm thinkin about doin the K&N cold air typhoon intake. Did you get a horsepower gain with this one?

  • Not really horsepower gain but a lot of sound and fun ;)

  • Haha nice.

  • but fun=horsepower!

  • great job-the sound really picks up the vtec kick! :)

  • I Loved How You Pulled That Second Gear Run on 0:30

  • worst asshole i ever seen!!!

  • haterrr

  • its not him, its because of the rev hang.

    thats normal

  • is this a coupe or sedan?

Great video, I'm trying to learn how to drive stick shift and so far your showing it to me hehe

  • its a sedan! im happy that help you :)

  • nice sounding, gotta love those K20's!

  • Thx!

  • HONDA 4 LIFE... VTEC sounds Very NICE;)) Good vid

  • great video, think you could tell me exactly where and how you mounted your camera, I'd like to make a video of my own si

  • i put my camera on a tripod and attached the tripod with the seatbelt on my passenger seat!

  • damn i wish i had an extra 8 grand to spend to get the new Si

    its so awesome

    the VTEC sounds godly

  • not quite, its not forced induction, it's variable valve timing.. it just regulates fuel consumption in the engine and provides smoother power delivery across the powerband. The engagement you hear at 6000 RPM's on the Si is the camshaft switching over, rolling the intake cam over, thus making it louder and it gives it more fuel and air. That's why the power band is so high, and it allows for more power.

  • I dont understand Vtec, cud someone explain it to me...

I know it has to do with the camshaft and all, but dont know the specifics thanks :)

  • VTEC (Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) is system uses two camshaft profiles and electronically selects between the profiles. There is different profiles for DOHC and SOHC, where the DOHC has a camshaft that rolls over the different profiles, so a DOHC has two cams that roll over for 4 cam profiles, whereas the SOHC has only 2 cam profiles. I-VTEC adds a profile for the intake cam to open and close as needed (VTEC is the based off the exhaust cam only).... hope that helps

  • Thanks, that helps alot.

So basically its like having a super small turbo

  • it pulls like a turbo when "vtec" hits lol. but theres a difference with vtec and i-vtec. i-vtec is vtec but it has a intake cam sprocket that advances or retards the timing of the cams a full 50 degrees. thats a shitloads of timing!

  • Hey stefano this is Jordan, my dad's account, heard you were looking at Si's. This video pretty much sold me haha. I'll be over next week if you want to take mine for a drive. We'll go at night vtec hits way harder when its cool outside

  • sounds unreal

  • dude your vtec kicks so strong!

  • safety first *click*

  • damn vtec is crazy

  • a lot of the people who don't own these new Si have no clue the issues with the rev hang and throttle-by-wire system. you are driving perfect man, keep it up. Just try and stay in VTEC with each shift, these things are made to hold high revs. Good driving man, real smooth.

  • thx man.

  • no gain? wtf.

  • on va tu s'ostiner pour 2-3hp?
