Barbara Walters is enjoyable to watch. I'm glad she's a champion 4 Causes close 2 Women. I think she should be a bit more Neutral in her analysis regarding the Political realm. She's supposed 2 be unbias because you cant be bias when u report the news.A newswoman/journalist. She loses her Objectivity. I respect her, but her personal views clouds her reporting the news. Just report the news and let the Viewer decide on what to think. we shouldnt be told the news via the reporter's opinions. :-)

She started out as good journalist and became a icon, but honestly -- and I know I am in a minority -- she has become a hack because of the choices she's made in her career. She gave brilliant interviews

and information -- but she gave it up to

be Rona Barrett. And with all she does now only doing controversal interviews like milking Clinton's lover she has been a hack and needs to hang it up because she's not on top anymore. She's done it all and now she needs to go on to

something else.

Barbara is actually semi-retired..she still contributes to 20/20. I mean, growing up, when I had this interest in journalism, even I always dreamed about wanting to work with her.

First of all, the book is very interesting. It gives insight from journalist's eye view about much that concerns the major figures and events of the later 20th century. Secondly, I give her props for being honest about her affair. It's not right to have an affair with a married man of coarse, but it was her memoir about her life and she came clean. It's easy to judge someone but I'm sure she judge's herself the most.

I grew up watching Barbara Walters. I always thought of her as a journalist, but now we know she is not. She is simply a gossip talk show host and there is nothing special abour her at all.

Quite frankly, I'm appalled by the way she handled this. She was completely inconsiderate and selfish. This information has probably crushed that man's family its obvious that Barbra could care less.

The only reason why she divulged such derogatory information is because she wanted this book to sell and it has. As I type this message people are rushing to book stores across the country to purchase that sorry excuse of a book.

And as for this secret affair, why would she come clean about it almost twenty years after it took place? Most people would try to conceal such shameful information but she's completely brazen about the whole incident. She's proud of the fact that she slept with that man, why else would she have put in a book for the whole world to read?

Excuse me, but the beloved Barbra Walters has been the one behaving utterly unprofessional.

Why did she feel the need to reveal information concerning Star's radical wieghtloss if "we knew [about the gastric bypass surgery] all along"??? Barbra had no right whatsoever to publish Star Jones' private information regardless of whether it was known or not. It was none of her business.

How dare everyone pat Barbara on the back regarding her book, especially admitting her affair with then Sen. Edward Brooke. Why isn't anyone lashing out about that. Adultery is wrong and it seems just because she's Barbara Walters, a white woman, everyone seems to think it was ok. After watching Oprah on Wednesday May 7th, and the comment Gayle King made giving Barbara "props" because she had an affair with a "black" man doesn't make it right people! What is wrong with society? It's a sad day.
