Its probably a mixture of water with a non-toxic blue dye such as food coloring to show any faults in the device such as leaks or to make sure the device is properly working to begin with for colored water is much more visible than normal water.

Guys this is probably fry food. When they are little you need to feed them liquid fry food or newly hatched brine shrimp. I'm not sure but i think. i'm not a pro fish keeper yet :(

the water traveling up the hose causes a downward pressure into the tank that stops all movement

why I dont know maybe because of the tube that feeds the water is higher than the level of the liquid in the top tank . It's not being fed from the bottom

there must be a small hole in the air tube so when the water level reaches that level it blocks off the air and it is replaced by water that is sucked up thru the clear air pipe into a venturi(spelling) set up that allows the air to be fed down stream of the liquid . not allowing the liquid to go up to the air intake. when air runs out so does the movement .

this isnt complicated at all...

its just pressure... the big bottle has to be higher than the glass...... the second pipe controls the intake of air.. which whenever it gets blocked... it stops the flow of fluids... its not hard to make.. the question is ... what do you wanna user it for?
