@BigTsWorld Yeah, of course that might happen due to the accelerometer. But if you expect it to happen, all you have to do is turn on the rotation lock! Just double click the home button, and slide the bottom bar to the left and click the lock button!
@LoelDittFisk First of all, learn how to read. Second of all, learn how to spell. I'm assuming you probably thought I said the Nokia N95 records in HD, which not once, have I said. LEARN HOW TO READ, you'd probably wouldn't confuse yourself, like you already am. As far as the Nokia N8 goes, YES it does have HD (720p) recording capability. Go get some hands on first, then come back and prove me wrong.
@6ixtynin9 Spec wise the N8 looks good but screen resolution is low really 640 x 360 pixels compared too I4's 640 x 960 pixels, and lets be honest you look at the screen the most. I4 does 720p @ 30fps N8 @ 25. Camera on the N8 has me interested for sure will check one out when they come and see what i think.
@Jabbypant Those resolution is what the phone's screen put out. View on devices other than the phone & you'll get a VERY different result. There's more to it than FPS & Res, both are the most sales pitched points ever (FYI, I have excellent quality 720p BluRay rips that plays back @ 24 FPS) What matter is: Optics & Sensor. Better optics/sensors = better results (regardless resolution). N8: Opt-Carl Ziess, Sen-1/1.9" VS iP4: Opt-Generic, Sen-1/3.2"(puny). Also, what software version is your N95/6
@6ixtynin9 Yes the resolution is the screens output ie the iphone will look superior to the N8's lower resolution screen and as i said before we look at the screen 100% of the time so that's the most important factor for any phone user.
I sold the N96 and gave the N95 to my brother didn't like the OP system, i will check out the new N8 but i don't buy a phone just for its video i have one for that which does full 1080p. Apple has the best app store hence i wanted to try iphone out.
@Jabbypant You're still not getting my point. Put it like this, if I record a video using a N8 and view that video on my 52" HDTV (screen res - 1920x1080), is the N8's video resolution fixed at 640x360 (N8's screen res)? NO!!! Since it's viewed on the HDTV, resolution are now fixed at 1280x720 (hence 720p recording). N8 now has the upper hand: for 1, better optics/sensor & 2, more pixel to maintain the resolution. And you're wrong, functionality is the most important factor for any phone user.
The only thing superior bout the iPhone4 is the exterior (the "looks"). The technology, design, & software behind the iPhone4 is already behind the curb. Apple does not have the best app store. They ARE leading because they have the largest library but android has more productive apps. If you knew anything about apps, you'd know that apple releases 1-2000 different remake of a single app, so in actuality, 1 app = 1-2000 apps. Besides, most apps for iPhone that = $, is free for Android user
@6ixtynin9 Apple's software is the most user friendly, and is most applicable to 99% of the consumer market. Your statement about the apps is laughable. There are NOT 1-2000 remakes of a SINGLE app, that is ridiculous. The only apps that might even be close to your statement are those flashlight and fart apps....Nothing else. And when you talk about how more android apps are free, that's because most android developers are doing it as a hobby which means the quality isn't as good.
@6ixtynin9 Yes the resolution is the screens output ie the iphone will look superior to the N8's lower resolution screen and as i said before we look at the screen 100% of the time so that's the most important factor for any phone user.

@6ixtynin9 LOL you n00b the N95 can't touch this for video quality and no you are wrong again no Nokia PHONE records in HD, these are PHONES not standalone cam corder's so you need to read more i think.
@Jabbypants Goes to show, you're talking out of your ass and have never actually owned or used one. All you're doing is, going by what you see on youtube. And yes, youtube distorts uploaded non-HD video recordings (ie. N95, N96, etc.), so physically record a video sample using a N95 and see the video in RAW format. I never said anything about Nokia being able to reording in HD. Learn how to read! But since you brought it up, search Nokia N8. It kills the iPhone 4 many lifetimes over.
@Jabbypant And YOU, the real NOOB. Unlike you, I don't read up on stuff. I have hands on with it. BIG DIFFERENCE! But it comes as no surprise, all you shallow Apple fanboys know, is the iPhone. FYI, Nokia has been doing 5MP camera since the early 2000. Their non-HD recording is as good, and/or (depending on models) surpasses iPhone4 quality. Know your shit before you speak it. Like I said, if you want to talk HD look up the N8, you'd probably think it IS a standalone camcorder. Failed! Try again
@6ixtynin9 LOL i had a N95 and N96 they don't anywhere near 720p quality in video, this is the first IPhone i have ever had so no fanboy shit here, all my other phones have been Android.
Those phones do 640x480 and by today standards they look pretty crap i know i have owned 2 so fact not fiction here, the iphone and most of the Android phones out are in a different league to those phones and so they should be, its about time Nokia did a decent phone and hopefully the N8 will be it.
@Crackeur040 yes-iMovie is just for a more detailed mobile editing of your movies-you can always just quickly edit the video on you iPhone or bring the video home and edit it there. BTW iMovie is 4.99
@s4iko1337 Finally??? LOL. Are you serious? Where the hell have you been? Nokia has been doing HD cam recording and Auto/Manual focus for the past 8 years. Finally?! You Americans truly are imited to things, and really don't know anything huh? HAHAHAHAHA.
how do you do that?
