Guys please build a more powerful viper! You can! You got 100 hp more from a 0.1L increase in engine capacity(3rd to 4th generation) and then 40 hp more without any increase(acr x from acr). Ferrari got 80 hp from 0.3L upgrade(f430 to 458). What you do is actually like having Jimmy page and making him play good Charlotte guitar tabs. He can do more than that.
you guys should make the viper a 700hp+ v10 because its a big engine and it could produce way more hp than you guys are making it(i dont blame you but its there the engine has potential). Make the interior more luxurious more like a american ferrari or mercedes sls, add navi and leather. make a carbon fiber addition to.. I have alot of ideas but thats some of em.. i can draw and i know designs.. and keep the price in the 100-150 mark. you'd steal lots of supercar buyers..

You guy's are definitley in the right direction! The new viper acr is one hell of a car and the nurburgring lap time is all the proof you need. I would work with the same concept but start focusing on ways to lighten the car and beat the new Porsche 911 RS nurburgring lap time of 7:18. Also include a race oriented traction control system that can make an average driver into a racing driver, like the ZR1 and the GTR but of course always give the option of turning everything off.

The Viper has made an unreal turnaround in 2009-2010. Sales are up over 100% and the people that are assembling them have fallen behind and most 2010 Vipers purchasers are on a waiting list (from what I've heard). Chrysler please keep the Viper, it's a staple to the Dodge name!

But less than 5% of vehicles now days have manual. At least let there be the option so that everyone can enjoy the beauty of Viper. And besides, Dodge is forced by law to have to add traction and stability by 2012.

It had to run restricted because it made too much power? I know the engine was held down to make the car drivable. But it had to be nerfed to be fair competition? Oh please next the next VIPER just as unfairly powerful , just more controllable.

@DocWolph Yes, they changed engine size the rules at LeMans after the vipers started winning. I guess nobody else could fit such a huge engine in such a light car.
