  • @masondixonkid ...Your response is embarrassing.

  • she is really beautiful

  • this video is retarded. we lose vitamins and minerals by consuming animal protein. b12....very boring topic. been done to death. it's not hard to get it. 1 tsp of chlorella has a full day of b12. look on the side of a pack of sea vegetables. plus if we didnt wash veggies so much we would get it from soil. where do you think animals get it from? seems pretty inefficient to rip it out of animals...do your research

  • Do you eat animal products because you refuse to take supplements? Animal products are a very easy way to find nutrients, but they are definitely not the only way. These alternative sources are readily available if vegans are willing to find them, or if they are willing to take a few supplements - like Vitamin D - which most americans are somewhat deficient in anyway. Vegans are also usually much more informed about potential deficiencies than the average american.

  • @runnergurrl55 Hi :) I eat them because I would prefer to get my nutrients from real foods over supplements. I consider that to be a more natural way to eat (providing you are eating quality animal products). It's certainly possible to be healthy as a vegan if you do it properly and supplement correctly and don't pig out on soy and gluten. But sometimes people don't absorb the nutrients from the supplements that well either, as in the case with B12.

  • @runnergurrl55 All of those animals you eat are vegans, so why would they have nutrients that you can't get by eating a plant-based diet? The only thing vegans MIGHT need to get through a supplement is vitamin B12. B12 comes from bacteria in soil. The reason we get it from animal products is that we don't clean their food, while we obsessively clean our own food! But a fortified soy milk (among other options) has half your daily B12 in 1 cup! The idea that you need meat for protein is nonsense.

  • @jasonwoody I think so, too! But I'm in college and it's hard!! So I take supplements because they are just a lot easier. But I totally agree with you!!

  • a lot of people who became vegan get acne cause the detoxification.

  • our bodies are not made to digest animal products. the length of our intestines, the kind of teeth we have, and the types of enzymes that we produce are that of herbivores

  • @cupcakes869 we have incissors designed to rip meat and a gull bladder. you're an idiot.

  • @masondixonkid No. Fool. We have incisors to rip into hard fruits and vegetables i.e. apples, carrots, sweet potatoes, etc. Also, we GRIND our food like all other herbivores. True carnivores' teeth only go up and down. I'm serious. Got a cat? A dog? Watch that little fucker eat sometime. Up and down, not side to side. Enjoy your eventual colon cancer though.

  • @averunks fuck you stupid hippie. you know shit.

  • If humans only ate gentically modified fruit and veggies and monno meals of fruit that have only existed for 100 years... HUMANS WOULD GO STERIL! Vegans have no idea that humans as a species have been domesticated. There are still wild people though. And they all eat meat. And they are all 100X more spirtual and have no carbon footprint. The people domesticating you have sentized you and took away primal insincts/actions like killing animals for a reason! MONEY!

  • Oh I'm a vegan and I don't really eat soy. I stay away from it. But other than b-12 being a deficiency. Your liver produces it... you'll never run out.

  • lol B12 deficiency? Your liver produces that vitamin.

  • You are right about the gluten, and soy, etc. However statements about meat/meat by products having certain vit/min that are more easily digestible is probably another pro meat myth. For instance protein is available in all fruits and veggies. By juicing you can consume large amounts (drs. say you cant eat enough of them to make a diffierence). Fresh F & V (not pasturized) are living foods that contain living cells. You cannot get that from Meat and white foods.

  • Tracey Tracey Tracey, there was no point making this video, there is no link between turning vegan and getting acne, there may seem to be for what youve seen, but i think this is just related to variables specific to your time and place. As a universal generality (which is where we should be speaking from as much as possible) there is no link, and vegatarianism and veganism is not only a healthier diet but progressive for humanity.

  • Vegans get acne far more often than other people because vegans miss meat so much they start sucking dick far more often and get urine in their bloodstream.

  • Acne is mostly caused by a sensitivity in the body to something external such as food allergies, skin cleansing products, environmental pollutants. Or internally such as hormonal imbalances, or excessive toxicity in the body. People should realize that the skin is a huge organ. We load our bodies with toxins and artificial ingredients. Many toxins escape through the skin, when to much is present. If your skin is unhealthy it is typically a sign of something going on internally. (Live in Bliss)

  • I'm vegan, mainly because meat/animal products make me sick. I do take supplements for the vitamins/minerals that I lack, and I've never been healthier.

  • And no one factor has been link to the cause of acne.+ veggies are a great source of vitamins&minerals that help your skin to be healthy.Peace

  • You can get plenty of b12 from sea veggies like nori or chorella & there is a sufficient amounts in vegan cereals.I was born with a very bad immunity & being a vegan saved my life many time.Blessings

  • ur eyes are an amzing blue!

  • Ethical vegan here. I am healthy.

  • @GabrielleBiggs That is good to hear! Do you take b12 supplements and all that?

  • @thelovevitamin people develop acne because of genetics. iv been vegan for 13 years and i had no skin problem, its all genetics and it ends after some one gets older like in their 30s and even 40s

  • @GabrielleBiggs Just a vegan multivitamin that includes B12.

  • I went vegan (mostly raw) when I was 23 and my acne got soooo much worse. and since that time I have had many up and downs in my skin, with lots of bad times :(

  • @AndreaJuliet I'm sorry to hear that :( Are you still vegan?

  • @thelovevitamin not vegan at all anymore. it just didn't work for me, but I try to be healthy as possible and raw as possible, but I do eat fish, mostly raw (like hawaiian poke) and sometimes I have milk products and eggs. I'd like to get even more healthy in my eating but its hard and sometimes I get bored of it, but at the moment I'm getting the excitement for eating healthy & really preparing lots of good stuff for my husband and I. We always do a green smoothie daily no matter what! :)

  • I never thought much about this. I always thought that by eliminating dairy then all my acne problems would be solved but it's quite evident that I have other intolerances and imbalances due to my vegan diet that may be making my skin worse. You're so right, it's not the healthiest lifestyle in the world, and it is hard to weight up all of the options and ultimately come to a decision that you know won't be the best for you nutritionally, or for your skin. Argh, I hate my skin.

  • @ciaobellakate Hey! I was a vegan (ethical) and I had to stop because it ruined my skin, but it really won't take much meat/dairy to improve your skin. I only eat meat about 3x a week, eggs about 2, and all the dairy my heart desires. With meat and eggs choose free range/happy cow milk if you're feeling too guilty :)

  • Interesting video. This is very true, and often there are a few other nutritional factors in addition to those you already said. Many vegans are highly dependent on "meat substitutes" and sea vegetables, which is increasing their intake of iodine. They also are eliminating the food sources of vitamin D--with the exception of mushrooms. Many vegans also drastically reduce the amount of calories they're eating while decreasing their protein intake, which can rewire your hormones.

  • Vitamin A is easy on a vegan diet, just throw in some sweet potatoes or garden cress. Zinc is hard. Iron is hard. B12 is impossible.

I don't think paleo is a good way of eating for acne patients. It makes them acidic. A lot of vegetables, quite some fruit, a bit of meat (only fish if possible) and if hungry some soaked nuts, seeds, quinoa, sweet potatoes, ...

And turmeric. Thanks for that tip! Since I started eating turmeric and broccoli (tastes good) my spots under my skin clear up fast!

  • @MadameMcintosh I think that the useable form of Vitamin A is only found in animal foods - kind of like EPA and DHA omega 3s... your body can convert plant vitamin A - beta carotene - to vitamin A but it's usually not that efficient. Also, I agree that too much meat can make you acidic, the paleo diet is best if the majority of your foods are non starchy vegetables with meats and starch portions kept small. Also I'm glad to hear that turmeric is helping! :)

  • @thelovevitamin I didn't know that :D, I thought having tons of vitamin A from plant foods would be fine. Thanks again, you're really the best!

  • @vecordia7 yeah when I was first clearing my acne and was eating vegan, I was eaten a soy free, gluten free diet. It's definitely possible, but .... it's kind of a pain hahah. Especially because it's best to soak all your grains and things before you eat them

  • @thelovevitamin Humans are have had animal in their diet for around 3 million years. However, nowadays the integrity of meat and animal products are in question.

  • @BillWilliamsonSr Oh I definitely agree.... our modern world is definitely not like prehistoric times... I only really advocating meat if it's local and ethically raised and preferably fed it's natural diet

  • @thelovevitamin

were you on a fruitarian diet when you did this? What are opinions on the fruitarians? I have seen a lot of them, and a lot of them are healthy, & don't look emaciated. However, I am four weeks into this, and am having malabsorption issues with the fruit I think... Maybe its because of too many nuts/seeds or potatoes.

  • @CBasie2856 I think being fruitarian can screw up your blood sugar controls and often leaves lots of cravings/mood swings etc. I think it's the type of diet that tends to be okay in the beginning but has a lot of problems later on. And yeah - apparently 30% of people have fructose malabsorption, so if you are one of those people, then a fruitarian diet will be really bad!

  • @thelovevitamin

somebody told me that fructose malabsorption has to do with the functioning of the kidneys, adrenals, digestive system and lymph system. He was recommending me a formula for each of these.

Luckily when I am eating a lot of fruit, I don't get cravings for other foods. Cooked mashed buttered potatoes are more likely to get me craving more and more potatoes.

  • evolutionary speaking were not designed to digest all those things you listed like gluten, wheats, grains, soy, dairy etc, thats why it causes problems. From a evolutionary stand point say your body encounters something it does not yet fully recognize or have the specific digestive enzymes to deal with it, it literally treats it like a toxin i.e dairy etc etc. although i feel bad eating meat for ethical reasons, i know its the healthier alternative alongside lots of raw vegtables and fruits :)

  • @supersags I know... I do feel bad eating meat from factory farms and such, but I don't feel too bad if it's raised ethically, and especially if it's local. There is a circle of life!

  • @thelovevitamin exactly i try as often as i can to buy local farm raised meat and grass fed, although its abit pricey, but ye i totally agree with you, keep the good advice coming, love watching your videos they are awesome and so are you! much love!

  • while im vegetarian i do agree with u & wouldnt argue about that vegan/vegetarian diet isnt the healthiest one. anyway what are your thoughts on fe dairy as b12 source? fe raw, organic milk once in sometimes in moderate ammounts? iknow dairy isnt the best food apparently, but yknow sometimes & if its organic etc. what do u think?

  • @MortieTheDoomed I actually think dairy is good, as long as it was raw and organic, even better if it's raw and organic goat's milk, and even beeetter if it's fermented into kefir :)
