Oh! Gorgeous video presentation, for a gorgeous performances! THANK YOU!!! Despite how revered Linda Thompson is, I still find her to be a bit underrated!
@ChrisOtheBigC Thanks for your comments Chris...I think I could probably do a better presentation now...but you couldn't improve on the singer and song.
@Sharlotte818 ...and what a lovely surprise to hear from someone who has performed this wonderful song with the great Fairport's.I regret i have never made it to Cropredy but I am sure you did the song justice...Many thanks for listening.
Thank you, this is so beautiful! I first heard Linda (Peters!) and was it Brian McNeil ? in a Folk Club in Bolton late 60s and always been a fan. Her large dog was with her and it had just come on heat for the first time!!! funny what you remember isn't it?

@How2rec Thank you for your comments.Indeed it was Brian McNeil, who later played fiddle for The Battlefield Band.I think anyone who has seen Linda cannot help but be touched by her beautiful voice.
This is just so lovely I am lost for words, unusual for me. I will listen to this again straight after it has finished. Have loved Maddy Priors version in the past and still do but this is magic.
@Kenentigern7 Fair comment on the art,I cringe myself when I play it back.I think it had taken me so long to get to the last minute of the song I had almost lost the will to care. However breaking a stoney Glaswegian heart is more than compensation. It moves a Dorset heart as well. Thanks for listening.
I first heard Linda singing back up for Sandy Denny...and she struck me by surprise...I follow her career ever since.....she has this beautiful melancholy in her voice that kinda uplift ye...and she brought Richard Thompsons' music, when they were 2gether, to the top...!!!
Thanks for posting Mrrayjd - I head this version of 'I live not where I love' on the radio a couple of years ago, and have thought about it since, so it's lovely to hear it again, and thanks for your video, appropriate to the music, and unusual at the same time. One of my favourite songs ever is the Divine Sisters of the YaYa Sisterhood version of 'Dimming of the Day' - so if you're ever stuck for something to do...
Thank you for watching watchingtelly. You are correct about 'Dimming of The Day,there is a feeling and sadness about Linda's voice that, for me,makes so many of her performances so very special.
The accompanying video used Victorian art, another subject very dear to me,though I feel I lost my way towards the end of it.
