It was incredibly difficult to shut out the derogatory comments. Comments led to fights. Me being a "small-sized" guy at the time, you can kind of see where this is going. I watched this movie a few days ago and in my opinion I just did not agree to the punishment all the girls were left with. I know the main character wanted the ''Fight'' and everything to just end but I just felt like community service and a small fine didn't do justice. But this is what makes a strong character/person: Forgiving and Just putting the past behind her, she was a smart young women with a lot of brains to make a decision like that.

@beneathyourlove Yeah, I just watched it on TV about an hour ago. Brilliant film. But as you said, I didn't think the punishment sentenced to the other girls was enough. I thought the movie would end on more of a darker note, like the victim attempting suicide by jumping out the window after she saw the video when her parents were giving their press-statement, or if she tried to kill those that attacked her, esp. that one girl in the bathroom scene. Cont.

(Im not one for violence by the way :) ) But then again, this film IS based on a true story and its not "movie" based. However, it does not change my opinion of it being a brilliant movie. I completely agree, brilliant acting and great actors. I can even admit there are girls out there that act like this and like that. It makes me uncomfortable to be amongst these girls in highschool but luckily I never was involved in anything too serious. I was pleasantly surprised by how good this movie was, but I didn't like the ending. I don' t think the girls really learned anything. They mostly got off scott-free. I won't mention names. I have followed the real life case now since 2008 when it happened, and I have to say I am proud of the job lifetime did in portraying all the people with respect. I hope the real people involved one day could face the world and denounce bullying. I hope Lifetime does a mini-series on this case and give the complete story. I think they did so good with this very short version, that I espect them to do the best job, as upt to this date they have. Lifetime should be proud.
