plus as others have said bands/singers change themes/styles all the time to stay fresh and be unique it gets stale as a artist to do the same thing over and over again.
i saw def leppard live about over a week ago with motley crue, now motley crue kicked ass but def leppard were shit considering the fact that they were the last to go on. now im not a hater but i wished i could have seen them in 1980, but at this concert they played only photograph off pyromania which i was gutted because thats the last good album by them, 3 off high n dry which was cool but nothing off this album which i hated so u can see what i mean here.
@LORDGOAT1976 Great Minds think alike lol! But its true!!! I can listen to every album Def Lep made Pyromania and back and just keep listening to them over and over again.....NOT Hysteria and beyond....JUNK sorry to say sell out garbage
@punktexas Why would I think that? You just pulled that out of nowhere. Steve and Rick were the two coolest members of the band. Steve was able to stay sober on stage, unlike a certain other guitarist.
Love bites when one was 14 years old. This song and a Richard Marx song hit the spot. He she was 13 when she moved away. Besides it was a fools love. Oops darn the pastors daughter. Still looks great on facebook. I grew up. I'd consider her an acquaintance because I was confirmed under her father. 21 yrs after that.. I still maintain that relationship. So clearly I still know her. Miscarried more than once I think. :( Sorry I was a kid at the time but not anymore. :(
an amazing song from an amazing album.High n Dry being my personal fav' ..after poor rick lost that arm they went with a more digital sound and they turned out love song/pop records.a shame really..Pyromania is as far into their future I will go.as a long time drummer myself ,I love the early stuff. HOLLA
@Rorschachxx1985 Well hysteria was a bit over produced ... but it still had that unique steve clark guitar playing after steve died Def Leppard went down the shitter ...
He was kinda what made them different from gay bands like Crue and Poison
@Rorschachxx1985 crue and posion were gay, not just because the looks but their songs, they were the ultimate glam hair band that copy elements of really classic heavy bands, poison was a certain def leppard copycat and motley are afar inferior to def leppard as far as music not public mayhem. Gods of war, run riot, woman and animal those songs are great, of course if you just look pour some sugar on me or love bites you are just being ignorant and deaf
@thereinr2 im sorry man but i just dont like it, fair enough about those bands but i like them, i've tried numerous ocassions to get into the album but i dont like it
@Rorschachxx1985 - man I gotta wonder about ANYONE who likes Poison and even though MCrew is good they don't even compare to Def Lep. (Unless you're comparing them to the later Pop Def Lep...)
@cliffthelightning there is not such a thing over produced, people call it that way because the songs are nearly perfect as arrangements, precision and sound. Queen sound was over produced? does anyone call pink floyd over produced? no way, Leppard used the best technology available and use it to create an album like no other. Hysteria was ahead its time, just the vocal harmonies were done before the apparition of software and pro tools.
Hey fans Dont really know Def Leppard? Shit Ever heard of Pete Willis? He was the original lead guitarist when the band first formed. Pete liked to wrap his hands around the bottle more than the neck of a guitar. So he was booted after many requests to straighten up. I seen the band in Phoenix on their first tour with Ted Nugent in the 70's. Excellent- Now they copy and sound like shit!
slang, euphoria, hysteria and x are awful. on though the night, hig n dry and pyromania are amazing adrenalize is good and songs from the sparkle lounge is ok
@LBCOOLB I'd just like to say they were not sellouts. They set the trend for 80s rock on Pyromania. The music they did wasn't really that popular until Pyromania came along. I still love this album though.
@jettrockpower i do agree on some accounts, because if u want to be rocker then u have to get somewhere in life, u still treat it as a job in some respects. im mean if ur not making any money then thats not good
@LBCOOLB No need to apologize friend, its the truth.....But get this , when I say this i get attacked for being too harsh lol. You and I know the truth..they sold out after Pyromania....oh well
@LBCOOLB I'd prefer the heavier stuff too but I won't call it selling out. I'll call it a direction. You can be like Slayer and make the same album over and over or you can try something new.
they are still rock

Pete Willis was a badass. He made Def Lep. He played on all the Pyromania songs too. Bring back Pete.

@punktexas Pete Willis was a useless drunk who only played the rythm on Pyromania. He got what he deserved.

@MurkyVids You must think Steve Clark and Rick Allen got what they deserved too.

True Rock N Roll band, during the early years, when music meant more than marketing and so on.

granted they were never a METAL band but after the first handful of albums, the soul that their music possessed was absent.

@LBCOOLB I like almost all of their songs but you are right
their 2008 album is not as good as i thought and i´d say euphoria was the last album that was really good. X is good 2 but it contains only lovesongs
