I am import driving tosser(I don't think I'm special but I certainly do like my R34), I am also an ex-commodore owner, (VL's were great back in the day).
One of the hottest drift cars on the US D1 circuit is a Pontiac GTO. It's rare you get a winner in a pissing contest...

Faults in the RTA version:
1. They are talking about speeding in this add (speeding: knoebody thinks big of you), yet they show a drifing commodore, a burnout, and a guy that fails to stop for a pedestrian, they dont actually show a speeding car.
2. They show recless driving, yet this was outlaws for car manufacturers because it shows the wrong message (yet the RTA can now use it to show the right message??)
3. Commodores CANT drift, yet they try and convince us they can with the blue VL.
