  • older diesels rule.......the hell with the greenie weenie hippie M/F

  • @27butters thats why everybody i know owns older trucks with true diesel motors not these little pissy eco friendly motors....mine has zero computers on it.....nothing to tear up,NEVER LATE V-8 CAT i pass cars going up mountains

  • Bulk DEF costs about $1.30 per gallon less than ULSD. It's available in bulk at Pilot fuel centers. Easy!

  • whats really good is taking your truck to a performance shop and having them remove all of that bullshit and reflash your ecu to bypass all of the emissions sensors and there you go problem solved anybody seen how much that DEF costs .... yea fuck that .... rollin coal till i DIE !!!

  • @CrackinVTEC666 amen,we need more ppl like u in this world

  • Sounds like a real pain in the ass.

  • With a 23 gal DEF Tank, you can get close to 7,000 miles of driving before having to refill the DEF Tank. Being a professional driver, you should be able to anticipate the filling of your DEF Tank. If you're so dense as to let the tank get low and you do not refill your tank after you fill with fuel, the truck will only go 5mph-not derated while you drive.

  • We can offer glider kits too, for those who wish that choice.

  • buy a gliderkit truck without an enigne, Buy a remanifactured engine.

  • Do not buy these engines guys! why does the goverment wants to regulate our driving freedom, what will happen if you run out of def crossing a desert is that mean you gonna be driving in hot weather at 5 mph wtf?or worse get stuck, this is stupid. if they are gonna do this 4 truckers then lets do it for 4wheelrs too. lets see how you like driving your chevy corvette at 5mph.

  • @inspktr51 well said!!!

  • I'm all for protecting the environment, but I think the EPA regulations are becoming too stringent too fast. Thanks to the EPA, Caterpillar isn't going to be making engines for big rigs anymore. There goes my favorite diesel engine manufacturer.

  • @jetengine7 older detroits sound so much better though! :D

  • This is what the government wanted, cleaner engines! Detroit, cummins, mack, and peterbilt/Kenworths own paccar engines will use this technology.

  • BS... Never gonna happen for me.

  • thats stupid! if i had a truck with bluetec system i would cut it out of my exhaust and replace it with a straight pipe screw bluetec!!

  • Here's a question, and it always seems to come down to economics, especially with big rigs and cost per mile.

How much does this exhaust fluid catalyst cost per gallon, and how does that impact the cost of running a truck per mile?

  • Rising fuel costs make SCR a more attractive option. Most of the world pays considerably more for diesel than they do for Add blue.

  • Makes sense and I'm all for protecting the environment, don't get me wrong, but with the rising costs of fuel, this is just going to add more to the cost of running a truck per mile, which will drive up freight charges, which in turn will ultimately have to raise the cost of the end product that's shipped by truck.

Wonder if they plan something similar for diesel trains?

  • I think it will be a while before they start this in trains. They want to focus on on-highway trucks first because it's a lot more of them polluting the air than the amount of freight trains they got running.
