Would anyone know the names of the movies that this piece, K448, not just the andante, has appeared in? Thanks. Along with Mozart's clarinet pieces, this is one of his finest in my opinion.
Absolutely wonderful! You two are such a classy, fine & exquisite piano duo. Happy and privileged to know you. Best with all and keep making refined art wherever you go.
Dear friends, thanks for the nice comment, we love your Liszt interpretations too, it is wonderful that music can create new friends and close people, best wishes.
listening to mozart can actually boost our BRAIN POWER! a research was done in US with 130 volunteers to take coginitive test.first round they listen to this very song by mozart.thn they take the test.second round, they listen to some other songs,n take the test.final round, they listen to nothing,n thn take the test.their marks were remarkable.1st=119 average,2nd round=113 average n final round with 110 average.9 points difference!!thats a lot.so its a good tip to listen to mozarts b4 exams
I always thought this piece was overrated. I liked it, but not as much as it seemed everyone else did.
However, Nodame Cantabile brought new life to this piece for me. Excellent song and an excellent anime. Who knew classical music and anime were such a good combination?
Yes, there have been many scientific experiments on the Mozart Effect from testing the calming effects on fetuses in the womb to preschoolers to college students at University of California at Irvine. It increases the visual-spatial effects which increases learning abilities, which has been proven with spatial IQ tests. His other concertos such as numbers 3 and r produced even stronger positive effects on learning. So who is the dumb ass?
Damn i heard this one in Ouran high school host club. And i wanted to play it really bad it sounded so great.. and now i see i must develope a new set of hands to be able to do it.. that sucks.. well were there is a will there is a way, right ? xD
Apparently it's been extensively scientifically proven. However, it's not limited to JUST mozart, it includes other baroque or classical composers as well.
@nerovsdante911 There is evidence supporting it. There is also evidence disproving it, but it has not been ruled out officially yet. So you are the idiot.
Awesome stuff. I'm going to listen to this great piece of music every morning before I go to write my exams and after I'm done with them, I will try to arrange this masterpiece for guitar.
@CandyMusix It isn't quite the same....but it's similar. I love those two anime! If you like music anime check out La corda d'oro. It revolves around music...and it's hilarious. It has a lot of comedy...as well as fiction/ fantasy.
Not to sound stupid or anything, but when i first heard this song it was on an anime i was watching and it was portrayed so lovely i just had to watch this!
mira, este movimiento si que me gusta. La interpretación es justa y medida y no hay contratiempos como con el primer movimiento. Quizás un poco rápida, pero no tiene importancia. Mis felicitaciones.
It is quite significant actually. I did an experiment with classical music versus no music in memory recall and results turn out significant that classical music does help.
Um.... 4 months have passed since you commented. Did anyone tell you where to download this song? If so, please share with me. Thanks a lot in advance
I'm doing my paper for music therapy on the psychophysiological effects of music and this is going straight to favourites. I'll take any advantage I can get. Thank you Mozart.
mozart was just... amazing guy... a genius of music this song makes everybody have a better brain work and believe me.. ill use it the rest of my life for difficult stuff lol
i listened to this because of the so called mozart effect.. needless to say, it worked! i couldn't even believe it myself. i scored 10 points higher on my chem test.
I read a book about this and mozart does not make you smarter since it only effects the part of your brain that processes music HOWEVER I really think it helps focus. When I listen to classical music it really forces me to tear apart the music.
Your performance of this movement is absolutely beautiful. Your videos have been a real inspiration; am working on Gottschalks "La Gallina" . . . really enjoyed your performance of it. Has it been removed from You Tube? Please continue to post your magnificant performances.
I listened to this song while I was studying for my chem quiz this morning for 15 minutes (I forgot I had one) and I remembered every little detail. I've never been able to do that before. The Mozart effect must be true!!!
Interesting, seeing as how the Mozart effect is a flawed "phenomenon" with mixed results from a variety of researchers. Also, it is told to enhance your short-termed spatial abilities, not remembering your chemistry quizzes. But if it works for you, keep at it.
Yes, it is true. The tempo Mozart used made you use both your left and right brain and this song in particular makes your brain ( or body, whatever you prefer) produce more neurons.
you can't produce more neurons. That would be like growing another nose. neurons are wither active or inactive, I propose this music actives more nuerons.
Actually, they did an experiment with some rats, some of those listening to Mozart grew extra toes, but the thing was they looked like noses, so yeah, it's not implausible.
I have just had a lecture on left brain and right brain studying, and aparantly this piece of music helps both sides of your brain to work together. this makes your brain more able to process new information. it's because your left brain listens to one piano and your right the other. Mozart- you rock!!!
i have to disagree it is perhaps bethoveen who had the most talent cause give some credit he was deaf mostly and bach and mozart had full use of their ears
I am not sure, but I think you will find it is not so much Mozart, as it it the tempo of the music. Slow, Rhythmic "mathematical" 60 BPM music puts you into the perfect state of mind and body for learning new mental patterns like nothing else.
there is no real correlation between music and intelligence. Tom Debois is autistic and plays 20 instruments and memorized 8000 songs, having played piano since he was 2. He is also autistic. In fact, this whole notion of a g-factor is ridiculous.
Your statements are contradictory. First you said there was no correlation between intelligence then you mention Debois to prove that there is correlation. If you know that Debois actually have low IQ then you agree that he is intelligent and that there is correlation between with IQ and music because you are amazed of what he can do that you can't. It proves that there is multiple intelligence and not just one variable. G-factor is measureable so IQ is not imaginary.
Apparently it does help epileptics, and reduces seizures but I think they say that having your kids learn music is far better than any mozart effect on intelligence. In other words no real proof of it increasing intelligence, I think any music that makes one feel alive and good about life is good and helps people be more positive.
ACTUALLY, I'm sorry..it hasn't been proven. The study done by Dr. Shaw had so many factors that weren't considered and if it, in fact, were an accurate measurement of high correlation, it would be replicable, in which it wasn't and still cannot be, which therefore proves nothing. I am a lover of all good music, and I would love for this whole Mozart Effect to be true, but to not be able to replicate a study done with such high boasts of evidence only proves that it needs further studies..
Some scientist claim there is indeed a Mozart effect, however it has nothing to do with getting smarter, it just enhances spatial IQ for a very short period of time (after having listened to the first movement of this piece). That is what they claim and some do not agree. They do agree that nobody gets 'smarter' from listening to Mozart, however.
Hi! of course mozart effects make babies smrter, they learn to talk and to read faster than other,in general their development is faster. I have two kids and when i was pregnant I listened mozart¨s music two or three times a day, every day durin my pregnancy and now I can see the diferences betwen my kids and other one, try it, it´s really wonderful.
@mdbrandares The Mozart Effect, the claim that it can make people (especially babies) smarter, is untrue. It does have a small effect on spatial reasoning which lasts only about 10-15 minutes but claims that say Mozart will increase your IQ or make you smarter are just plain false.
@mdbrandares Well there is one effect that is definately gained from listening to this piece and that is spatial reasoning. This is still great because it is an extremely important tool in life. But some speculate that it could increase intelligence also :). So yes play lots of Mozart to your niece :)
I was not thinking of a gradual slowing down. I enjoy Mozart's prestos as very very fast and his adagios very very slow. I like your tempi for this piece but if the end is played very slow (not slowing down total change of tempi you are left gasping for air it so beautiful. ) The break from the main theme with scale run and chord allows you to change to a slow tempo.
