  • This I like! Easy to read and understands what she's saying, fantastic! Thanks! I'm deaf, so the text is great! Good work! Thanks! I'm much happier now! Much obliged! Lovely coconut milk! Yum yum yum.... I'm drooling over the milk! Perfect drink every day!

  • Remember the water inside a mature coconut sucks, toss it. Young coconut water is delightful. Finally, put the fresh coconut milk in the fridge overnight and scoop off enormous amount of congealed oil off the top for cooking etc., or you will be drinking a huge amount of oil.

  • @heartslord How long does coconut milk last if its kept in the fridge?

  • @SeeBillyRun

Never lasted long cause always consumed fast! I suspect it'd be good for a week then decline.

  • I am curious why we'd add the boiling water instead of room temp? Does that help get out all of the milk? Have you tried with soaking the coconut and using the soak water? Thanks!

  • Hello Mama Natural. Thanks for posting this video. I was wondering how much this recipe makes? I have a little one and I just started her on coconut milk. We are in the process of weaning off of breast milk and did not really want to use dairy. I appreciate this video. Thanks again.

  • Ok, so I heard that coconut milk makes you... well... I heard it makes you poop alot!? Is this true! Haha, did you have any problems like that? Love your videos! :)

  • Thanks! Is it ok to use/boil coconut water when making coconut milk?

  • @XxrElEAsEmExX Yes.

  • This is wonderful. Thank you for sharing....

  • @curlybliss XOXO.

  • What is something resourceful we can do with the left over coconut pulp?

  • @JnTMac3 You could put in baked goods like bread, muffins, scones. I don't think it would add a lot of flavor since you tap it by making the milk but it does add fiber.

  • Looks delicious! I noticed that your blender is has a glass container. Would you mind sharing what make/model it is? I am looking for a glass based one.

  • @TheLifeInTheNorth It's an Oster Professional Series. I don't think they make our model anymore but if you go to oster.com, they have a special tab that shows all of their glass jar models. You could then cross-reference on amazon.com to see which one has the best reviews. I've been happy with mine. XO.

  • @MamaNaturalBlog Thank you! I will definitely check out the brand

  • I love your recipes! I wish more Americans understood the importance and benifits of eating fresh, organic REAL foods!

  • @CherryJane20 Aw, thanks! Love your user name. XO.

  • wow i really never thought to do that! ur a genius lol :D

  • would this work in recipes calling for canned coconut milk? I make haupia, a pudding bar with it, it's basically just sweetened and thickened. Come to think of it, what would you recommend for thickening, I tried once to thicken it with arrowroot powder instead of corn starch and instead of pudding bars I got snot.

  • I LOVE watching ur videos, even the ones totally unrelated to my life lol You should have a show on tv your very entertaining.

  • Yum, indeed! I like the fact that you had the info all written down on the channel because I was watching this on mute (baby is nursing/sleeping) ha! Anyway, I am cuckoo for coconuts :) There are everywhere in the Philippines and so cheap there. This is a great option for us here in the US. Thanks for the post!

  • @homeandbahay Oh good! Never thought that the writing would help in this way :). I'm cuckoo for coconuts too. XO.

  • I just want to let you know I made this tonight with my family. We made it a little thicker than this and poured it over bananas, Strawberries, and raspberries for desert tonight OMG what a treat that was... I am not sure if it is something I could drink a glass of but defiantly yummy!

  • @fuzzypeach5 YUMMY! Yes, the thicker variety would be hard to choke down. LOL! If I make it richer, I use as a tea creamer.

  • wow, very good video here :) Fuzzy Soul Tiger

  • @FuzzySoulTiger Aw, thanks Fuzzy Soul Tiger! Hope you are well!

  • awesomeness friend,luv it

  • @kaboomfamilyVlog Aw, thanks!

  • Hi Genevieve! This looks great!! I'm so happy that you are sharing this healthy recipe with us. I've always been health cautious against canned foods but they're just so hard to avoid! Can you show us how to make homemade tomato sauce please? Thank you for your time! :D

  • @21stCDollsHouse Hmmm.... homemade tomato sauce. That's a great idea. Give me some time to tinker. I know that canned tomato sauce is nasty since the acidity really picks up metals.

  • At what age is it safe to give to a child? Thanks.

  • @gladeemarie I started Griff on around 9 months in smallish doses. I think by a year, you are good to go as full dairy replacement.

  • Yum!

  • I usually use SoDelicious brand coconut milk. If we like our milk to have a sweetness to this is there anything we can add like vanilla or sugar? Or is it naturally sweet?

  • @fattiecane It has a "hint" of sweet. If you want a sweeter milk, try liquid stevia. It blends really nicely. You can also add vanilla extract, cocoa, fruit, you name it!

  • I make coconut milk from fresh coconut meat... although my husband isn't always willing to procure and open the nuts for me! ;) This would be another great option. Fresh milk tastes so much better than canned! Do you know about the cost difference? Is it more or less cost effective to make it then to buy canned? I know made from the raw coconut it is less expensive, but what about from the flakes?

    Thanks! Great video as always!

  • @fluffywanderings I would say it's about equal to the cost of canned. It does taste SO MUCH BETTER. Fresher for sure.

  • Yum! I can't wait too try and make my own. I love the 'store' bough coconut milk, and silk and almond milk. Hmm now i want too start making it.

I also didn't know that about canned milk. Interesting.

  • @RavenMidnight911 Only thing about store bought is that they add synthetic vitamins, emulsifiers, oils and sugars. :(

  • this looks really good! i might have to make this!

  • @ghero46 Go for it dude! Your body will thank you :).

  • We love coconut milk over frozen blueberries, and we add the milk to curried lentil soups. Adds a nice richness. Thanks for the informative video, like always. Blessings

  • @apleasingaroma Aw thanks, and thanks for sharing how you use. I don't use in savory dishes but now need to give it a whirl.

  • I just discovered coconut milk in a carton. They sell by the almond milk at my grocery store. It is really tasty!

  • @crimsonkurls The only thing about carton coconut milk is that they add a bunch of emulsifiers, synthetic vitamins, sugars, etc.

  • This is great! Thanks so much! I would love to see one on Almond milk as well.

  • @AyurLove Great suggestion! I will look into...

  • How fortuitous, I was just talking to my partner this morning about how to make how made coconut milk. . .

  • @melodicmint LOVE when that happens :). XO.

  • hmmmm. does it taste really coconutty? would be yummy poured over bananas

  • @fuzzypeach5 Yes, it does. It's delish! Great with any tropical fruit.
