Marriage is better than singlehood, because we are human creatures and we also have physical needs, it's part of our basic needs like eating, sleeping etc. So, yes, thinking that marriage brings happiness is not right because only worshiping God can bring peace to our hearts and true happiness. But thinking that singlehood can be preferable to marriage (because of the difficulties that it brings) is not right, it's denying the characteristics God gave to humans. Peace.

Only God fulfills our heart...if we have some pain, fear or some kind of emotional problem due to some broke on a past relationship, only God can heal that heart...I like when you say "Eucharist is my satisfaction" because It is the encounter with Love...God is love, and "there is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear" and "whoever does not love a brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen" (1John 4:18, 20) What a blessing to hear someone talking like that. A powerful verse in Genesis comes to mind about leaving our parents and uniting with the opposite sex and becoming one flesh. Unless of course you're lucky enough to answer an authentic call to the religious life. As single people, let's be aware of selfishness and ego/pride that may prevent us from intimacy and union with another through marriage. Tough concepts to deal with I know. So tough it may "ache" to do so. In many ways, our singleness is a product of the culture so don't despair, Love.

Sometimes I tend to feel lonely because its sad to say that there aren't many girls (and people in general) who are worth any effort... I try not to let the loneliness affect my thoughts and actions...

@nicholasgeranios : actually, mother mary was set aside and born without sin so that she could carry the son of man. so Jackie isnt wrong when she said that Mary was perfect. i'm Roman Catholic and they do teach that Mary was the perfect woman, and Jesus was the perfect man
