  • When was this great tune first released? Was it first released by The Four Seasons without Frankie?

  • I was named after this

  • this is classic oldies music

  • Its awkward hearing my name in this song

  • He must have been drunk. He was totally off key.

  • Just saw Jersey Boys. I know I can't say i "missed this era of music," but i wish class like this would come back.

  • Oldies FOREVER

  • Comment removed

  • i LOVE this song so much

  • One of my all time favorites. I remember hearing this on the boardwalk in Atlantic City when I was a very young teenager.

  • I first heard this song when the jersey boys sang it.... but the four seasons kick there butt.

  • @The3Jinxers The "jersey Boys" are the Four Seasons.

  • thumbs up if u havent herd this song in a long time or u used to listen to it when u were a kid

  • i think Frankie was a castrato ... ha ha

  • Aren't there any old clips of them in this primo period?

  • On Oct 12, 1962

"Sherry" by the 4 Seasons was the #1 song.

  • Awesome

  • Peppersax, so true:)

  • Bob Gaudio was HOT

  • thank you lord for giving men falsetto :)

  • No "auto tune" here:)

  • I'm going to see these guys live tonight =D

  • If Frankie Valli is truly your Grandfather, Then pls. let him know that his style of music was ans still is fantastic and will live on for generations.

  • @tommyj973nj If he really is your grandfather i just want to say he is a living legend! He is the reason why i play the guitar. Saw jersey boys 4 times and love his character! Such a "bad boy". Lol i recently just tried out for a jersey boys production at a local high school and tried our for massi and tommy. They gave me the tommy part! :)

  • @ChaseFranklinProject they exaggerate a lot in the play, but he doesnt mind because it helps the sales. but yes he really is my grandfather, good luck with that part too

  • Love hearing them sing live!

Click BB45s for rare rock video clips

  • i'm tommy devito's grandson, he appreciates that there's still so many devoted fans. go see Jersey Boys if you havent already.

  • @tommyj973nj Pics or it didn't happen.

  • @ArcadeRobotOnFire Not all of it is as simple as you think, lots of new songs have deeper meanings.. BECAUSE BABY GOT DAT SUPA BASS BOOM BA BOOM BOOM

  • @ArcadeRobotOnFire You realize how single minded you are being, right?

  • @crazyradioman Perhaps. Nonetheless, doesn't deter the fact that mainstream music has lowered to it's most vacuous levels, and most likely will keep doing so, as long as people who don't know any better enable it. But, whatever.

  • I Was In Love With The Guy On The "Keyboard".....

I Didn't Know What "Falseto" Was...It Sounded Sort Of "Dirty" to Me!! lol.

    Ahhhhhh... to Be 15 Again!

  • @SpacemanSpiff2011

    I like both. Problem?

  • @crazyradioman There's a big problem whith that. If people keep listening to shitty music then you give aweful Big Labels reasons to making contrived music, God knows we don't need any of that in the world of music.

  • I`m 14... wait no one gives a damn. Good song. :)

  • I'm sure glad the Jersey Boys picked up the act , They also do a great job .

  • Proud to be born in the same city these guys are from....Newark, NJ. Grew up listening to them. Music is still good today.

  • Now that's talent !!! better then today's stupid Auto-tune and fakes -.-

  • @spacemanspiff2011 you realize that 50 years ago people were saying the same thing about rock and roll and all the artists you recognize as "real music". music is a living thing and it grows and changes with the times. if not for frankie valli there might not be the music of today. just because you don't like it doesn't mean its not valuable

  • Yes, it was better then. It came from your heart and your pipes !

  • I'm 13 and I also think this is better then what we have right now.....

  • im 14 and i think this is better then what we have today

  • @Thegreatjoker1 Same i am 14 and i agree this is much better then todays music

  • 44 People have testicles

  • What a voice!

  • abc!

  • I went through ever song that has the word cherry in it on youtube until I finally found out it's "Sherry"

  • @Hockeyskill9 haha i was spelling it sherrie.....

  • @Hockeyskill9 Same! lol

  • @Hockeyskill9 no shit

  • stay he he hey just a little bit longer

  • old music/groups are the best, real talent! now it is about the looks with talentless singers. I love everything from the 60s to the 90s....

  • @SpacemanSpiff2011 clearly you havent listened to other bands and are just talking about one genre of music. there are more types of music than just rap

  • @blackpen2011

he's talking about today's popular music which is pop, rap and all that shitty mainstream music.

  • I'm only 10 months old and I love this song :-)

  • @MobHeataEnt hahahahha

  • @TheGamerJoseph I think he's lying. I bet he's at least 16 months old!

  • @MobHeataEnt LOLs

  • @outsie hahaha lol good one

  • wow i seriously think i was born in the wrong generation. what happened. i love the four seasons and im seeing the Jersey Boys in milwaukee this weekend. very excited!

  • @sk8tachiick5729 just saw them last night in Vegas.... good show

  • Omg Frankie Valli and has such a good vocie I LOVE U FRANKIE VALLI

  • If only I were a young guy at that time, when music was real, and good, and alive, and authentic;- a time when life was much better and people could have wholesome fun.

  • Yeah. this was back when live performances were actually good because the singer had to practice since there was no music editing. Now days every live performance sucks dick cuz the lead singer is too lazy and thinks "oh, ill just leave it to autotune to make my horrible voice sound better."

  • all of their songs are not just classics, they are fantastic

  • I like going from high pitch to the low pitch Silly GIRL

  • this is big girls don't cry

  • Back when there was real music not like today autotune allover the place

  • Haha theres a guy in my school named sheridan, and now everyone sings this to him!

  • Frankie Valli is THE man!

  • Comment removed

  • for the BEST harmony on youtube, type 'the cave castlecomer' into your search bar.

    ...... i just eargasmed.

  • Met my wife the year that Sherry was a huge hit....by the way, her name is Sherry!

  • @mebanedeac47 what are the odds man.

  • i think of 2 and a half men when i hear the song Sherry.

  • me and my dad listened to this the day he died o_o :[

  • One of my favourite songs.

  • Pretty high voice! i hate when this songs, when you need hinh voice sings just guys, who can´t sing so high... Just hurt my ears! ;)

  • thumbs up if you heard this in two and a half men

  • @ldatrivers it was awesome

  • Can honestly say I am was not born when this was first out but I grew up listening to it and it never gets old my nieces and nephews (only 18 & 19) love it to.

  • I hate my peers... this is true music

  • this music will never ever get boring :D

  • This is gold!=) What happened to this awesome music? Listening to this makes me sad...I think about the trash that we listen to now=(

  • Quelle drôle de voix! On dirait qu'il a avalé un crapeau!

  • This is real music, now we just have people who like to talk fast to the sound of of a computerized drum set (rap) and a bunch of sluts who use auto tune, what happened to the world of music...

  • @SpacemanSpiff2011 I agree i am 22 male.. I loveed the music from 50-70s

  • Respond to this video... as Anne Murray says the Music Indiutry is in a Mess right now.... They are getting people who cant sing or dont create music that is like this style anymore.. I hope it makes comeback in 2050

  • @SpacemanSpiff2011 we also have the Black Keys and Imelda May

  • @SpacemanSpiff2011 don't judge rap because you probably don't know anything about it, you just listen to the garbage they play on the radio, if you actually knew good artists then you would have never typed this comment. Rap tells about life too. it's real music too.

  • @SpacemanSpiff2011

Rusty K Feat. Marchello - Deja Vu

  • @SpacemanSpiff2011 I get where you're coming from, but at least some rap requires thought behind the lyrics.

  • @Colenelly You mean the lyrics other people write for the supposed artist ? Then yes, your're right.

  • @ArcadeRobotOnFire I'm not talking about Britney Spears here, I'm talking about rappers and lyricists. Kid Cudi, Wale, etc. Learn more about rap before you knock it. If Cudi was found out for not writing his own lyrics, he would be the laughing stock of the music world and would lose all fans.

  • @Colenelly Boy are you ignorant. Most rappers you hear on the radio these days don't write their own material, while it is true that some rappers do, like Cudi and Wale. but even then, they fall into the mainstream crowd. And we all knwo how bad the mainstream music scene is.

  • @ArcadeRobotOnFire I truly can't think of any rappers that don't write their own stuff, but alright. Truth is, I listen to more post rock and jazz than rap, I just know a lot about it because I used to.

  • @SpacemanSpiff2011 Ignorant and close-minded people like you ceased to be relevant. Music was great back then (And this song in particular), but it has evolved. You have the right not to evolve along with the rest of the world, but you shouldn't whine about it.

  • @DJSPAC3GH0ST Another one who music more than all of us. And.... lemme guess: you are so much more evolved than us....

  • Are their testicles being smashed in a vice.... Sounds like Mickey Mouse

  • Go to hell robbieandpheobe. The four seasons are better Than all the auto toned fake shit that people call music today. Frankie vali has a fricken gold voice

  • i hate the jersey boys they sound like 6 year old girls when singing

  • On a daytime quiz show in 1962 the emcee Bob Barker played Sherry and Big Girls Don't Cry and the adults had a cow they were laughing so hard. Every generation has their own music that previous generations laugh at. Good music is created in every generation.

  • what ever happened to music like this

  • i wish these guys were still around instead of Justin 'i have a little pussy' Bieber

  • i love this song!!<3

  • I love it when he say's sherry and big girl's don't cry <3

  • @shannonXmcmayo i know right, his voice.. is just awesome

  • so,so good

  • Just saw Frankie Valli and the 4 seasons at Casino Rama..........excellent show! He did all his hits and can still belt it out.

  • @spooseboy I was there, too! I was probably the youngest one there (I'm 25). People actually asked me if I was lost. It was such a great show! I was like a little girl at a Justin Bieber concert. Haha. And he's still got it in his mid 70's! So glad I can say that I saw such a legend. I teared up a little bit at one point but tried not to let anyone see. lol.

  • Comment removed

  • @ImPoe Hi, great to hear that you enjoyed yourself. I told my daughters who are around your age about you and they now wished that they had of come to the show when I invited them!

  • @spooseboy Oh, well they definitely missed out! All my friends have been making fun of me. Some people will just never understand real music and where it came from. Hopefully Frankie comes back to Rama again and your daughters can see him. I know I'll be there!

  • did anyone ask this... why does sherry have to get cut off eh frankie???! ugh.

  • I'm 16 years old and I was bought up with house music on my mums side but my dad taught me to love music like this and I will always love this type of music, I don't listen to anything what so ever in the charts today, it's all about the old songs!

  • Hard to believe that at age 77, he still sings this good..although it's a new 4 seasons line-up

  • Sumamente bueno!!!! excelente música y gratísimos recuerdos.

  • Sumamente bueno!!!! excelente música y gratísimos recuerdos

  • ... looks kinda like peewee herman too me but sounds like a mentally retarded duck

  • MY DAD NAMED ME AFTER THIS SONG

  • Two friends of mine don't wnat to see Jersey Boys because they think its "cheesy". I am so close to disowning them.

  • School is a waste of my life, I learned far more by myself when I entered the real world. And finally if my gen is shit then so is yours because shit begits shit!!!!!!! Food for thought, by the way yes we love to fuck just like you used to!!!!

  • @pullscrotskin You're making yourself look like an ass...Go talk to a councilor

  • Then you are just lying or a hypocrite. I should bow to you because you are a kid that time aged into an old person, think not. I respect you if you are worthy of respect. If your parents have mental problems and are technically more immature than you how can you respect them? Authority can suck my nuts if they want to control my every move in life.

  • murinku--thats your opinion, But--

in reality no one is exactly your stereo type version of the younger generation. I love Frankie Valli and alot of other classic music, I also like my black death metal the same. They are equal to me. Just as talented in their own ways. You just cant see what I can see, thats all. You dont like the feel of luxury??

  • @pullscrotskin from what you write you are very distrubed. You can argue without using profanity. Please tso[ listening to your death metal stuff and you will be a happier person. Take the hint.

  • @murihiku Im a child and im just the worst!!

I dont respect!! I fart any where, any day, any time maybe one day u be right next and eat fart.

  • it is very good music

  • instead of having a real discussion just argue with some strange internet hobos.

    good song no matter what

  • I was born in the wrong decade.

  • For some reason, this scene makes me think of Marty McFly from Back to the future movie..

  • "Fear of societal decline has caused more damage than societal decline ever has."

I think that sums up this entire comment page quite nicely.

Simply apply Occam's razor to the situation. Which is more likely, that your perspective changed, or that the entire world populous and it's societal norms, modes of behavior, and morals did?

Anyone who claims any period of time was 'superior' says so from a skewed vantage point. The 60s had their shit too, we just don't remember it as well.

  • " servants of their households" You've got to be kidding no child should be a slave. OMG I hope you never have kids.

  • @TheGigapig (1) I did not say that, Socratest did. (2) I did not quote Socrates to agree with him, but to illustrate the maxim "Plus ca change, plus la meme chose." (3) My post was responding to one from Jackspadeproductions who said that young people lost their morals in 2000 when they started listening to rap. Understand now? You can put your mind at rest about my possible future or present children.

By the way, I suggest you look up the difference between "servant" and "slave."

  • gotta respect this kind of music ;)

  • IM 16 and a guy..... AND LOVE THIS BLEEPING SONG :)

  • Ronnie Me too man! I am 17 and my dad just gave me his 1970 Trans Am. I'm playing nothing but 70's music and back in the car. With the exception of 80s music too lol Anyway Great song I have listened too them since I was a little baby.

  • I can see a girl falling for a song like this, should a special someone choose to play this for her... the stuff nowadays (not all of it, but "most"), I'm not so sure about >_>

    Oldies FTW!

When I turn 21, I'll be driving down the highway in my fathers classic muscle car, listening to Queen. HOOOOAHHHHHHHH!

  • fuckin brill falsetto

  • 1 of a kind voice lmao classic

  • Comment removed

  • okay, I forgive you. I'm glad we got that straightened out.

  • Iv seen the play jersey boys 4 times and i can never get tired of it. these men should be more well known across the world by kids im only 13 and i can never get the songs out of my head because they are fantasic go frankie go bob go tommy go nick!

  • This video is posted on Facebook page called "Golden Tunes - Sound of Oldies", so if you have fb account and some time, check it, i guess you will like it :) Page is for everyone who like like warm cozy sound of evergreen music.

  • BOB GAUDIO IS A GENIUS!!!!

  • 32 failed to press the like butten

  • Man i never knew that abc was that old.

  • R.I.P music

We have a replacement for you now. Its called noises

  • @vietbuhletz yeah just noises that are way over your head, I can appreciate your type of music to the fullest degree, pity you cant return the favor.

  • @vietbuhletz i agree. The music of today is just pure garbage.

  • @vietbuhletz cute lol i agree

  • @vietbuhletz

Not that i agree, but still A frigging funny sentence!

    :)

  • @vietbuhletz this sorta shit irritates me no end, you cant compare an era of music with another in any case but if your a true music fan, you'd take the time to research music and appreciate the amazing talent that is currently in operation, just because pop music happens to b 'noise' (and i agree), doesn't mean there isn't great music/musicians out there its just that for some reason people cant b bothered looking for it, not tryin to disrespect either, just saying

  • This song makes me love my name. :)

  • none of the singers now can perform live like this

  • this is what satan listens to

  • @SeaBeast663 Lol wtf?

  • Excelent falsetto Frankie Valli was awesome, love listening him singing in a perfect falsetto, great memories thanks for posting it

  • The 1st of many great 4 Seasons records, they were n always will be my favorite singing group.

  • "then around 2000 is when rap started taking over and kids started losing morals and listening to that garbage"

    Idiocy ^

  • AHHHH!!!! LOVE

  • Franky Vallie has an awesome falsetto voice.

  • Thanks so much for replying. I do hope someone puts it on you tube. so many memories!!!!

  • @pezhead915 The left handed bass player is Joe Long - he replaced Nick Massi in the mid 60's (Joe was on all their hits from "Opus 17" on...)

  • Respond to this video..."I've Got You Under My Skin" was released in 1966...so it couldn't have been earlier than that...Joe Long on bass had also replaced Nick Massi by now...

  • @taintedlove08 "I've Got You Under My Skin" was a hit in 1966...so it couldn't have been before then...

  • it sounds like someone kicked that guy in the junk- lol can't believe he hits those high notes
