Hello friend- THIS IS THE SONG I was talking about... meaning of the nicest ballad we did for PODOLOR TRIBUTE- of course our version is slow and totally re-arranged ! it seems i'll have to post it soon :)
@bitchboysi Oh yeah, got to hear that one. This is such a killer fas-moving instro - interested to hear this as a ballad. Thanks for the visit as always.
AngelofSurfInstrumentals loves this! 5 stars/favs! The guitar slides are "dreamy" and the drums are too much! Thank you so much Basil. I'm a very happy Angel!
One of my best finds in a while. The original 1963 album has been re-released and it's just stuffed with goodies. I have to refrain from posting it all...
:) well i am pretty sure, too, since we cover that song on a special wish of PHIL DIRT.. for 2CD TRIBUTE RICHIE ALLAN..the CD hasn't been released because of the legal problem...but if it is released someday, it's gonna be perfect compilation...
Well, now I'm confused! You can bet that I'll be buying that one when it finally comes out. Their 'Surf Man' reminds me of your style, rolling 'indian drums', big whammy bar strums, and lots of reverb.
The song is titled Not So Quiet on a 45 rpm with the flipside being A Touch of Blue. It was an August 1962 release. I have also heard the same tune called Surfer's Slide on Amazon mp3 downloads.
Interesting... It mentions in the CD sleeve notes that it was recorded in July 62 as 'Not So Quiet', and also Tidal Wave (from the same album) was originally recorded as 'Ground Swell'.
Shiiiiit this is great!

I may have to put it away until Christmas Day...unless I sneak it out without Mrs BdeB noticing.

That's no good, Sir B. Believe it or not, I'll be working Christmas Day (and Boxing Day)!

isn't the tittle of the song NOT SO QUIET?
bitchboysi 2 years ago
Just checked the CD and this is against the correct title. I don't know "Not So Quiet". But I've posted wrong titles before...
