Okay this is only my opinion but, it's pretty cool too see how the 3 major Japanese car companies have thier "big toys". Honda has the S2000, Mazda has RX7/RX8 and Toyota has the Supra. The power houses of each company, love how they compete, and we get these really awesome cars!

Yeah well, sometimes old school still is better then the new. Look at the AE86 corolla for instance. People mocked it and thought it was a POS, but it grew into popularity thanks to Drifting. Now hardcore drifters and fans are trying to get their hands on them. That goes for most of the old school cars. And some manufactures are looking to the past for future releases.
