I LOVE THIS MOVIE AND I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE BOOK. So it was different then the book. Many filmed books aren't like the actual books anymore nowadays. Besides, I think that it's a great movie. I love Anne Hathaway and I look forward to hear more from her. Maybe an Ella Enchanted 2 or Princess Diaries 3? :D

This movie was absolutely terrible compared to the book , the whole thing had a way diffrent plot line and the only thing that was even slightly similar was that she had the curse . But , i guess as just a movie not compared to the book it was alright . I still think they need to remake this movie though and actually make it like the book

I really don't like it when they change the plot of a book entirely and then still name the movie after it. Because while this might've been a cool movie with a good plot (I don't know, i haven't seen it) now no one can make an actual Ella Enchanted movie. :( Like they did in Percy Jackson, too, I think.

You have to look at the book and movie separately. I think of the movie as if someone stole the character names, the curse idea, then borrowed the title.

I read the book after I saw the movie, and I was stunned by the differences. But, I'm glad that I watched the movie first, because when I read books first I ALWAYS critisize the movie even if the movie is good. I think you just have to look at movies and books as two different stories entirely. They're both very good -- just different, and it's unfair to compare the two.

It's a really good movie on it's own right, but when compared with the book it's crap. 'Thrown away the book is right'. The only thing a person who's read the book couldn't complain about is the fact that she has brown hair, cause even the books get that wrong. Think about it. Every single cover for the book she has brown hair and brown eyes, yet on the VERY FIRST PAGE it states she has black hair and green eyes.

It is a great movie as long as you pretend it's not related to the book at all.

yeah, the book and movie are just total opposites. They turned the movie into a stupid comedy with no references to cinderella. The book is supposed to be a prequel to cinderellla, cause the last few chapters are that story. The plot lines are completly different.
