@philhalo66 i think this model is already discontinued. Its a 2007-08 model. Its pretty good for HD, but for hardcore gaming its really not. There is minimal motion blur plus some lag and the viewing angles aren't that great. Plus it has a 8ms response time. I would consider you buy a newer model with low input lag and with a low response time. Later Dude.

I've been wondering how come every 360 on YouTube I've seen that has HDMI on and everything look perfect and I've hooked up my 360 on all 3 LCD TVS in my house even a 1080p 120hz one and they all have the same problem: Close up, you can see ugly edges and jaggies not just in games but on the dashboard as well.. well LCDS are meant to be seen from a certain distance depending on how big your HDTV is. 40ins about 5-8 feet. Or you need to turn down your sharpness down to zero or between 0-10. i have my sharpness on 5. can you tell me what models your tvs are and which one you use the most and have the most problem on. im glad to help. any mores Qs feel free to ask.

They all look the same, besides the 1080p 120hz one cause it supports Motion Blur. All of them have the sharpness at 0, this jagged edge and sharp corners effect is present in every TV I've set the 360 at: my 32 philips 720p/60hz, my mothers aquos sharp 720p/60hz, and the downstairs philips 52 1080p 120hz. I even tried it with an old vizio plasma and it looked the same up close..

@Arbiterisl33t69 With HD, it shouldn't matter how close or far you are from the screen - there's another problem there. Is it only with your XBOX? What's it like with other connections (i.e., bluray/dvd)? If you have the same problem with ALL of your inputs - then the problem is with your TV - possibly the connection itself. If you're using an HDMI cable - the picture should be razor sharp. Is the HDMI cable going directly into your HDTV, or is it being connected to an AV receiver??

I haven't tried it with my dvd player, and I don't have a Bluray player. Well, it looks good from a distance, and it's the same with all the TVS in my house: A Philips 720p 60hz about 30 something inches, Philips 1080p 120hz 52", and an Aquos Sharp 1080i (not sure abot the hz, but it's about 30 something ")

I use an HDMI, which goes directly from my 360 into my HDTV.

@Arbiterisl33t69 If you're having the same problems with all your TVs, then it's obviously the HDMI connection itself, or the XBOX. My guess is the HDMI cable. Did you get the "official" XBOX 360 HDMI kit. They totally scam you into buying theirs, because a 'normal' HDMI cable won't fit with the optical cable output. If you bought a super cheap one off ebay, the speed of the HDMI cable may not be fast enough. My guess (for all it's worth) is that the problem lies with your cable...

@Arbiterisl33t69 That's PROBABLY where your problem lies... The cheaper HDMI cables can't process the data fast enough - hence why they are cheaper. I also bought a cheaper one off ebay, and the quality wasn't up to par. If you go out and buy the "offical" XBOX one (from Microsoft), the picture quality should be perfect. I could be wrong though - but I'm feeling good about this one! I have the Microsoft cable hooked from my XBOX into my TV, and the quality is spectacular...

The framerate. Videos are technically just pictures. The higher the framerate, the more smooth the image looks. It means it refreshes 60 times per second.

It could either be progressive or interlaced scanning, but thats a different story.

@xLilCuzzo420x having read your comment and i know its late but i cant stay still fater reading all that bs. tell me what game on consoles are 1080p that are fps.

since all fps on pc are beyong 1080p and have higher detail. and the pros play pc since the analog is horribly inacurate for first person shooters. and to date crysis remains the most graphic game nothing beats that maybe crysis 2 when it comes out since cryengine 3 was dumbed down to able to play on consoles

it is upscaled on both consoles most ps3 games only support a native 720 p which is upscaled by the hdmi
