  • Ty loved this show

  • I have that toaster !

  • Thanks for posting this show. Iloved Hazel when it first came on the tv. I love looking at the clothes and the furniture. It's priceless!

  • Whitney was pretty! Meredith was also pretty! i think the straight comment was uncalled for just saying!

  • @dotcomguy79 ...... I agree, what's so great about being straight? NOTHING

  • True, 'maytag'. However, the kitchen appliances (at least, during the NBC era) seen on "HAZEL" were supplied by RCA/Whirlpool; even though they never directly sponsored the show, RCA {NBC's parent company} wanted to be SURE viewers saw the latest Whirlpool appliances, AND that RCA Victor color TV in the Baxter's living room [especially when they were promoting the fact the show was in "Living Color", and used Shirley's and Don's faces in a few RCA TV ads].

  • Cool i didn't know their was a show with my name!! and it's a pretty cool show too :P

  • Whitney Blake was much more beautiful and glamorous than her daughter Meredith Baxter. She was also straight, which is definitely a plus. LOL

  • @CRAIGSCORNER1 Yes sir, I agree! Whitney was a very beautiful, elegant woman!

  • @CRAIGSCORNER1 Whitney Blake was very pretty. I think Meredith Baxter is pretty too. I don't judge someone on their sexual preference, why should you? That's none of my business!

  • The good ole days, when a man made a living and his wife stayed home with the kid(s) and didn't have to work if she didn't want to. And a maid, to boot? Cool. What a hubby. Where are the men like that these days?

  • The opening title seen here was, of course, used to subtly promote the sponsor's product. It was never seen in syndicated prints...

1:15- "'HAZEL', is brought to you by.....FORD, on behalf of your Ford dealer, who invites you to see the new line of Fords for '62...".

Originally telecast on April 19, 1962.

  • @fromthesidelines They did the same thing on Bewitched. They sported Frigidaire Appliances and Chevrolet cars because G. M was their sponsor.

  • Shirley Booth (Hazel) was blind in her last years and died after a brief illness at her home in North Chatham (Cape Cod), Massachusetts. She is interred in Mount Hebron Cemetery, Montclair, New Jersey.

  • Rich, affluent and stupid next door neighbors...lol!

  • A wife who couldn't boil water....or take care of ONE child! The maid does it!!

  • @mslegacy01

This "wife" was gorgeous and she had a full time job as an interior designer, that's why she had help. Also, Hazel was her childhood nanny and she was like family to "Missy." Wow, buddy...you seem to be a 1950s throwback...just saying. LOL

  • If television was so great before non white were allowed on...What was AMERICA before WHITES stepped foot on it...idiot!?!

  • LOL@an asshole talking about what television was before blacks....dumb ass!

  • i think whitney did porn in the 60's

  • Didn't Whitney Blake appear on the Andy Griffith show as a bikini-clad lawyer? Also, I read somewhere that she created the TV show, "One Day at a Time". She should've played the lead!

  • Sidney Sheldon's parents were Russian/Jewish...he created I Dream of Jeanie...so maybe people are creative from whereever they're from...you think?

  • and it shows your ignorance...the man behind Hazel wasnt even American but an immigrant..Ted Key...i just love those who speak and make themselves look like Lassie...or should i say Ass-ie!! lol

  • @ remus...you're funny

  • I think television shows where sooooo much better before homosexuals, blacks, mexicans, puerto ricans, liberals, etc. and unbridled sex was put into them. If you don't like my comments, then move to a country where free speech is discouraged.

  • Great Hazel episode, and very good picture quality .

  • I love this show! I watched it when I was little! My mom watched it when she was little too!

  • 50 years ago they were building the new plant in town and not aisa, The car was union made

  • thank you so much for showing these episodes. I loved this show when a child. Keep up the good work!

  • I tell ya one thing: the wife, Whitney Blake, was one HOT piece of ass - - all wasted on that numbnut, Mr. B.

  • @Aquitat ehh i have my money on Hazel, i would F--K her all night, she has bigger breasts and a bigger ass than whitney blake. plus hazel is more energetic so she would probably be better in bed!

  • @mukaikof LOL!!! you like a full-figured gal, do you?

  • @Aquitat ..... nope not wasted on Mr B... he was rich AND had a big one! Two very good qualities in a man!

  • The show's good, but the opening is really lame.

  • i just LOVE the Johnsons!

  • First time I've seen the '61-'62 opening with the Country Squire station wagon since -- well -- 1962! (The first '61-'62 opening showed Hazel pulling freshly-baked cookies out of the Baxters' oven.)
