Actually to the people who believed the holocaust was a hoax...The gas chambers had windows AND showerheads in the gas room. They did it to give the illusion that they were just gonna take a shower. There was also a 5 inch steel door closing them in most of the time. When the door closed, a soldier from up top would open a hole in the roof and dump a poisonous powder down into the chamber as the vapors from the powder dispersed througout the room it would suffocate the victims (jews)...ITS REAL!

1938? Actually the Gas Chamber was installed at San Quentin in 1937 and first used for a double execution the same year. Wyoming's was also installed and used the same year. Colorado's was installed and used in 1934. Not sure when Arizona's was installed, but it was first used for a double execution in 1934. North Carolina's was first used in 1936, and Nevada was the first to use it in 1924.

What a stupid way of executing someone! It's very dangerous and expensive. Hanging is more humane (not that i'm entirely worried about that aspect), it costs near nothing, and poses no danger or risk to anyone administering the execution.
Why does it matter if capital punishment gives the inmate pain? Think about all the people they killed, and the number of people that suffered? What about the pain of the murder victim? For all I care, they can use stabbing as a form of capital punishment. Make the criminal suffer like his victim(s) did.
Several months ago, the only other youtube clips of real gas chambers besides this one were several clips on the San Quinten gas chamber. But those have been taken off youtube. This is the only youtube clip remaining of a real gas chamber that has not been removed from youtube.

Actually to the people who believed the holocaust was a hoax...The gas chambers had windows AND showerheads in the gas room. They did it to give the illusion that they were just gonna take a shower. There was also a 5 inch steel door closing them in most of the time. When the door closed, a soldier from up top would open a hole in the roof and dump a poisonous powder down into the chamber as the vapors from the powder dispersed througout the room it would suffocate the victims (jews)...ITS REAL!

1938? Actually the Gas Chamber was installed at San Quentin in 1937 and first used for a double execution the same year. Wyoming's was also installed and used the same year. Colorado's was installed and used in 1934. Not sure when Arizona's was installed, but it was first used for a double execution in 1934. North Carolina's was first used in 1936, and Nevada was the first to use it in 1924.

America's gas chambers are all getting very old having been mostly constructed in the 1930’s with window and door seals are prone to leaks. Only time will tell whether the gas chamber will be used again. It may, because there are still a number of long term prisoners on death row who have the legal right to insist upon being gassed.

There was an old gas chamber clip here on YT that was super realistic. I'm nearly certain it was a real chamber, and showed the mechanics, if the execution was fake. It was a woman, the guard told her "take a deep breath, it will be easier" she said "how would u know". I can't find that one.

It turned out the person she tried to hire was an undercover police officer in cahoots with one of her cell mates. Law and order, and crime and justice were different in the 1950's, especially for women.

It cocked up, and they did not release enought Cyanide and they stopped the cover smoke to soon.

@worldatmyfingertips7 American gas chambers use potassium cyanide pellets which are mixed with sulphuric acid to produce hydrogen cyanide. Zyklon B was a brand name of a canister of hydrogen cyanide, so, yes, it's the same thing.
However, it should be noted that a much higher concentration is used in US executions now, which makes the asphyxiation much faster - the condemned generally loses consciousness quickly. Nazi gas chambers took much longer, and some of them used carbon monoxide instead.

@worldatmyfingertips7 That's not to say that some gas executions in the US haven't been completely fucked up. There was one case where the condemned started to asphyxiate and ended up banging his head against a pole until he died, bloodied and battered, because of the pain he was in.
Cyanide, if administered correctly, will result in rapid loss of consciousness followed by death shortly afterwards.

@worldatmyfingertips7 Cyanide works by inhibiting cellular respiration. This makes the cell unable to use oxygen. Essentially it has the same effect as asphyxiation - indeed, at high concentrations the hydrogen cyanide gas will also cause that.
Cyanide poisoning causes the body to go into a coma, which will exhibit seizures, stop breathing and finally cardiac arrest. Since the victim is in a coma, they are unaware of this, and death follows due to the stopping of the heart.

I know that you want the world to be problem free and I would want that too but that's just not how it is or can be. As long as people inhabit this earth, there will be psychopaths out there. While the death penalty is for the good of innocents, it's still not right, but must be done. Do you know how many more innocent people would die if we just let killers go? obviously not. I can't change your opinion and you can't change mine either.
