I just got a GTX 590 and guess what .. the fan hit the plastic chassis, which makes a loud sound and presses against the axis of rotation of the fan, which interferes with the fan's functionality and life span...
I paid $750 for this and now im gonna need to RMA and pay more money... this is just frustrating.
U should work to make RMA unnecessary instead of making it "easier"
I attached a video response to this video. But the simple fact is they RMA'd me twice on an 8800gt. They then told me I was getting an upgraded card. So they sent me a 9800gt which is the exact same card. It's clocked slower and has 1gb memory. And under performs my 8800gt. So very obviously not an upgrade. I have not contacted them agian after the 3rd card. They are obviously not going to fix it. And have lied to me. My business goes elsewhere.
I am so disappointed with EVGA, a client of mine purchased a 4way SLI Classified and when it arrived the board itself was warped and the NB heatsink was bent. The client made arrangements to have the board RMA'd and when the replacement came it was in the same condition as the first one.
EVGA needs to look at there own packaging standards and be a little bit more diligent in their QC department. This has not only cause headaches for the both of us, but it has me disappointed with EVGA.
@Ksquaredgaming It's the same mobo in this video, does it look tilted in this video? 1:26
Also I called EVGA and told me that no it's not to be tilted, well at least the guy I spoke too, but he was no very knowledgeable about the board. Then finally if you look at pictures, not only on the box, but anywhere it does not show the heatsink tilted. Then finally we have the warped board, and I don't mean slightly, if you put it on a flat surface it's like a teeter totter .
@Willanhanyard Yeah, most are like that....but I have seen some ppl's that were not leaning...one comes to mind was Trubsitar's...anyway they took care of it and it came in exactly 90 deg to the board. So you can believe what you want, but even after talking to their QC manager, they are not suppose to be leaning like that...also take a look at the picture on the box, it is not leaning there either.
Beware, if you dont keep your stuff in a steel box they will blame you for bent CPU pins, etc.
I packed my motherboard in a clam-shell, staticbag, in a box, with 2 layers of foam, peanuts and air-bags.
I get a call saying they found bent CPU pins, despite me looking over it with a magnifying glass before hand. After they told me it was fixed for free, I told them I was careful and made sure there was no error.
They told me I was lying. Why would I lie after they told me they fixed it?
@hitachi088 i doubt it was a joke, it was prolly just the fact that they don't have any aftermarket coolers(not really any reason for them to have any though)
i think its awesome that EVGA accepts cards that have been modified with after market heat sinks (as mentioned in the video, you have to return them with the stick cooler), Most manufacturers void the warranty on video cards when the user installs a after market cooler.
The guy in 0:27 is just contacting with his own company.

Thats because every 4-way classy comes like that. Look at pictures of other people's. Mine was the same way.
