If you care so much, do something about it. You don't have any idea what I do in my life - which organization I give to, etc. Being angry doesn't help you or anyone else. @fwfassett literally all of what you say is true, but calamity is a man-made issue, all suffering is man-made as well as man-ignored. I'm not as angry as you assume, I'm more disappointed. In state after state & as far as I know, in other countries, there are golf courses all over the place! Enough God's land to house every living human being! What separates a poor diseased African from being allowed sanctuary out of their suffering? No one wants them. Their plight is theirs alone...right? WWJD?

@olnappy - I don't agree all suffering is man-made - what about tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, floods, drought? There are many people who care about helping their brothers, but they must also work and limit their population, and perhaps move away from their home to a more productive area. Giving them land won't necessarily help. Education is probably most important.

It just doesn't have that much power - it is not God. There are millions of good people in the US, but they tend to be "silent majority" people who love their family, work at their jobs, and try to raise their children to love and respect others. They do give and help at charitable organizations.

I know, well before the atlantic slave trade Arab/Muslims were trading africans around Northern Africa and into europe.
