    fucking amazing

  • event horizon... stay in black... ave

  • 666 likes nicely done pete..job well done. R.I.P pete, Always remember and never forgotten. Musical mastermind.

  • Type O. one of the greatest

  • This kills me. Always.

  • great cover . i love when a band covers a song but puts their own twist on it and makes it sound like their own.

  • Epic. Rest in peace, brother Peter.

  • Great.... just great.

  • I've yet to meet anyone that didn't hail this cover, fan or not of Type O Negative.

  • @rykuss It's ok, but to be perfectly honest, I don't find it anywhere near as good as when it's played faster by Sabbath, Megadeth or other bands who've covered it. The highlite of the song for me comes at 2:52 when they play the Iron Man riff

  • @gymguy25 i think this version kicks way more ass than sabbath, megadeth or any "faster" version. U just dont appreciate greatness. go fuck urself. Type O forever \m/

  • @metalrain888 we should have a new law implemented that forces anyone who insults people while hiding behind a computer screen to tattoo the words "I'm a gultess puke" on their forheards.

  • @gymguy25 u need to be beaten severely

  • @metalrain888 like!

  • @gymguy25 Sorry, this song kicks ass. I, personally, like this version better than the original. Yet I love Ozzy. Type O was just a special band, they could take this song and slow it down and make it their own. Type O is my favorite, if I had to choose, so when I hear this slow, emotionally packed/unique version compared to the faster versions, this one easily wins. Just my opinion.

  • @Aic1944 I never said I don't like this version, I simply said I prefer the fast version as I like my music fast. I just can't understand why there are people who see it necessary to insult anyone who doesn't have the exact same tastes as they do.

  • @gymguy25 I understand, but you said you think the Sabbath version is better, along with Megadeths. So, as I said, I just stated my opinion. which was this version is better. Typical Type O, slow it down and make it heavy/beautiful. Personally I think this song has more character than Sabbaths original or Megadeths cover. That't Type O for you though. always unique and original, always making it their own. Not making it sound exactly the same as the original. All just my opinion though.

  • @Aic1944 I love Megadeth (first 4 only of course) but Megadaves version is horrible. This ToN version is epic.Love it.

  • @gymguy25 I would have to say i love the idea, but the words that should be tattooed should say "im a little dickless bitch" but thats my opinion.

  • I remember playing this song for a family friend (sister) she said it made her feel like killin herself. ROFL

  • And to think, this thing only counts one visit per user/IP address... Oh, how I wish this thing would count all my replays.

  • Music for the blackest of nights. Rest in peace, Pete.

  • Gotta love the keyboards in the verse. Such a doomy atmosphere. :P

  • mi cover favorito de back sabath

  • pete would have been 50 today lets all toast to ToN for all the great music

  • mesmorizing...

  • Yes!

  • why type is the best band ever? because they kick ass this music makes me feel fine..thank you peter....im a man and your death make me cry for the 1 time ...miss so much this giant guy with the most awesome vocal of the world

  • @XxXSammitheMaggotXxX you misspelled "apostrophe" while telling showerofgore that he misplaced one. That's pretty stupid.

  • Pete Steele dead, Ke$ha still alive. god hates us.

  • @AndroidAppGuy

    Brightest flame burns quickest.

  • @AndroidAppGuy be glad that kesha dosent become the new vocalist for this band

  • @DethklawExodus

no one could replace Peter :)

  • @DannyZproductions he had the collest voice ever

he should have done black metal

  • @DethklawExodus nah he wasn't enough of a loser

  • Dear Bands everywhere: When you cover a song, add your own flavor and make it count for something... <3 Type O Negative

  • Paranoid is supposed to be fast paced this is a disgrace to the sabbath.

  • @showerofgore Who says Paranoid is suppose to be fast pace? T.O.N does a better job than any other band. PISS OFF!!

  • @showerofgore Who cares? I like T-O-N and Black Sabbath but I like this version better, so to qoute inthepitofagony, "PISS OFF!!"

  • @showerofgore XDDD Oh my fucking Odinn, you're so fucking immature it's not even funny, you're also so ignorant that you don't even know how to write CORRECTLY. Just as an F.Y.I...You are a TERRIBLE "troller", it's fucking hillarious in my opinion. Don't you mean "Oh my fucking Odinn. I can't believe you said that."? • @showerofgore Wow, what are you, in 2nd grade? You're such a fucking immature child, who forgot an APOSTROPHY again....And all of this dumbass blabbing over your own stupidity and immaturity? I am very speachless becuse of your stupidity. Grow the fuck up, you dumbass little child. Also, your mother is so fucking slutty, that when you ask for breakfest in the morning, she opens her legs and says "Blue Waffle".

  • @XxXSammitheMaggotXxX like I said your mothers asshole stinks but I still like to fuck it I like to jizz all up in her shit then I donkey punch your mentally handicapped grandmother=)

  • @showerofgore Wow, go back to 2nd grade again? Get a fucking life you loser. And you're a horrible "troller", you jack-ass.

  • @showerofgore Oh and you don't have a cock, you imbred idiot.

  • @XxXSammitheMaggotXxX Seriously you must have no life every time I check my messages I have some bullshit from you go get laid loser.

  • Totally different, sounds like anotehr song.

  • i'm new to this band are they drone metal?

  • @Necromora They are hard to categorize. Kind of metal, kind of goth, can be very fast, can drag it, all good though. Check out their official site.

  • @falsemariasduck ok :)

  • @Necromora definitely not drone metal. They are hard to categorize but I just call them dark atmospheric metal. But their influences and styles can be pretty diverse. Overall their style is dark and atmospheric and the style they play in would typically be called metal.

  • @Necromora No

  • @Necromora they are all that is metal and music... its to bad its dead now. good news for you is that there music never gets old and it grows on you the more you listen to it.

  • I think this is the best cover I've ever heard.

  • Rest in peace Pete... "for like the bat of indian brakes she settles on the womb she makes and soothin thus the dreamers pains she drinks the life blood from my veins"

  • Rest in peace Pete

  • I am finished with 8 ppl

  • Now this is a fucking cover.....

  • Next to Ulver's Solitude, this is the best Sabbath cover 8)

  • PEETER SEI ETERNO!!!!!

  • Doomy and gloomy :)

  • SEE YOU PETER, OVER THERE? LET'S DRINK TO OUR LEGS ONE LAST TIME, BUT YOU BUY BECAUSE YOU WERE ALWAYS CLOSER TO THE COFFIN THAN ME... HA HA HAA BYE FRIEND...

  • Einmalige Stimme, einmalige Band!

Für die Metal Szene eine wichtige Persönlichkeit : Peter Steele - in Gedenken!

  • my favorite part was the iron man cover a-mazing

  • It just KILLS me that I was late to the party re: Type O & never got to see them live. I've seen live clips/interviews/etc but I know I really missed out on something special. It's always nice to discover a band (new to one's self) and have a shit ton of albums to get into but when it's a band like TON and a singer like Peter... ...well, I missed it. And it really bugs me. I've seen a million shows but never got to see these guys. And I'm bummed about that if you didn't get the point. FAK

  • I can't stop listening to this. Great cover, perfect really.

  • It's occured to me a couple of times that if TypeO had come along at the same time as Sabbath, then they'd be as grandad-legendary by now. Also makes me think of all the great books that I'll never read, films & shows I'll never watch and games I'll never play, not just cos that great stuff'll end up being drowned in the dross, but there'll never be enough time to consume it all, let alone contribute anything myself. Great tune.

  • @TheKlink But where would they be without the influence of Sabbath?

  • @zeppelin1996

tru dat. Maybe it's my mind saying "yeah, you're actually listenning to Sabbath", lol.

  • @TheKlink the fact you're even listening to this song shows youre fighting your way through the bullshit. Don't lament too much.

  • @ch1mpanzeethat

    glub glub glub brbrbrbr....

*fat bubbles grow, then burst as they reach the surface, just as a desperate grasping hand slides beneath it*

  • I feel bad, this is the first time I've listened to TONs cover of Paranoid. I have to admit that I did like Megadeth's version which seemed to speed it up but, this....is like a Fn orgy in my ears!

  • FUCK BLESS YOU PETER

  • Rest In Peace, Pete!

  • This is actually really good, I like it slowed down.

  • This is how you cover Sabbath right here. You don't speed it up. Keeping it at the original tempo works well... But if you really wanna nail it, you slow it down.

  • @zeppelin1996 add to that Kenny`s dirty distortion, Josh`es ambience keyboard, pounding drums (was it Abruscato or Kelly?) and of course Peters voice and trippy bass, perfection!

  • @dago00 Sabbath is my favorite band. I don't normally like covers of their stuff, but Type O Negative nailed this! This turned me on to their other stuff, and I really like them.

  • @zeppelin1996 Then you`ve probably noticed they stuck quite a few sabbath riffs here and there in their songs. It`s great how they blend together with their own stuff!

  • @dago00

This was Johnny Kelly's debut with the band (1994. He was a drum tech for them before that).

  • @dago00

This would be Sal Abruscato. He was the drummer on Slow Deep and Hard, Bloody Kisses, and Origin of the Feces.

You should check out Sal's new band: A Pale Horse Named Death. he's the rhythm guitar and lead singer.

Johnny Kelly is on drums.. again.

Both of the TON drummers are in one band together.

  • @stayawayfromtheshed This isn't Sal. This is a drum machine, as was all the subsequent TON albums there after, Sal only recorded up to Bloody Kisses. Johnny Kelly was a touring drummer, and didn't record anyhing until Dead again.

  • @mellodge

I knew they had used a drum machine for most of their albums other than the Sal albums and Dead Again.

I had no idea they used a machine for this one since Sal is credited on the album.

Actually, wikipedia credits Johnny for Paranoid.

  • @stayawayfromtheshed Sal did indeed drum on this album but Paranoid did not feature on the original release. Paranoid was recorded for the Nativity in Black album years later. It was then added to Origin of the Feces on the re-release.

  • @mellodge I stand corrected, it wasn't recorded for Nativity in Black ( they did Black Sabbath for that), Maybe it was Johnny kelly on live drums. but Josh Silver states in an interview Johnny Kelly did not record drums unti dead again.

  • @mellodge Why did they use drum machines when they had a drummer?

  • @BlackFloyd94 Not sure why to behonest. Many bands do use drum machines, even tho they have or have access to session drummers. Examples include Meshuggah and Devin Townsend.

  • turning a kickass epic tune into a kickass yet mellow creepy version. BEAST MODE

  • slowing this down was a really good move me thinks. not only does it make the song heaver it adds a layer of angery depression on top of it. like the line "finished with my woman cuz she couldn't help me with my mind" just screams "im fucked up"

    good cover.

  • hermoso

  • i really fucking hate most black sabbath covers...i heard this on xm radio and loved it. panteras cover of planet caravan is great too.

  • he had the most perfect voice......... No one could cover Black Sabbath like T.O.N

  • Everytime I hear this tune I cannot help but sing along, wish I was able to sing like Peter, and Drum along the beat! This is perfection! R I P Peter! I am SOOOO glad I got to finally see him Live. I just wish I was lucky enough to have shaken the man's hand!

  • I love that last bass line at the end of this. R.I.P. Peter, no one will ever be able to play the way you did.

  • this is what cover is:) and not just other replay :)

  • Absolutely lovely.

  • This version of absolutely outstanding! Beautiful!

  • YOUR VOICE TO ETERNITY

    R.I.P. PEETER STEELE

    YOU LIVE FOREVER

    he is an angel now.

  • @SIRIKNOSIS Our Petrus Who Art In Heaven, Hollowed Be Thy Name...

  • so perfect......

  • best.cover.ever. heartbreakingly awesome!

  • Covering "Paranoid" so slow that were able to use the main riff from "Iron Man" for part of it? Genius.

  • WOW...not fucking bad. R.I.P. Pete.

  • creative. i like that we can take eachothers art and explore it, its what makes us human.

  • This is the only band that can make last 7:22 a song that lasts 2:52

  • GOD-VERRR-DOMME....

  • Brilliant! \m/ -_- \m/

  • Take life Slow, Deep, and Hard

  • @Netravick but what if Life is Killing Me?

  • @Apollo220382 Ok, im just telling you it is in the break, since you said that it wasn't in the song.

  • @Apollo220382 They throw the iron man riff in at 2:51

  • 5 people are paranoid.

  • I never liked paranoid really much, but this.. Gotta come to computer again and again->youtube-> this. :D

  • yum, yum.

  • this is the first time I've heard this version of the rock blueprint and it's BLOODY AMAZING ! !

  • I actually just rediscovered this Type O classis right now while im fucked up. Haven't heard it in a long time, probably over 3 year. Now I remember it though, and it's so badass.

  • This is the beginning of Type O, and for the people who act like Type O has changed so much, this song shows how they maintained their distinct sound till the end.

  • @Aic1944 This wasn't the beginning. They an album before this.

  • @DBCOOPER888 What I meant by beginning was that this was one of the songs they created when they were first starting out, since the first two albums were released within a year of eachother and some were just the same songs with a little something extra added.

  • Hello metalheads

Instead of a Metal rebellion i propose a new plan.

    1. Don't bash other metal artists, we must unite! We cant fight against pop music if we arent even together

    2. Watch more metal videos to get it to the top of the youtube vid list

If you like this idea, thumbs it up JUST so people can see it, and also spread it around if you like this idea

Lets show that metal kicks ass!

Copy this text in every Metalvideo you watch and we´re getting the power

  • when peter sings "all the time" the guitar in the background sounds like "mother" the danzig song.

  • Type O taught me one incredibly useful thing in life. All you need to do is slow it down and make it heavy.

  • @harboringanomalies That's exactly what i like about them ,I've been searching for bands that sound like Type O negative , it's a hard job.

  • @harboringanomalies Cinnamon Girl, Summer Breeze, the Beatles trilogy thing, yes!

  • @harboringanomalies GD i accidentally thumbs downed your comment. Navigating youtube sucks when you're durnk

  • @joe2131 No problem, can't blame a man for boozin.

  • @harboringanomalies innit mate !

  • @harboringanomalies lol, the truth

  • @harboringanomalies right on!

  • @harboringanomalies In more ways than one!

  • @harboringanomalies So true, man, so true...

  • 5 people are paranoid of good covers.

  • Type O fukin rocks

  • Imagine if Type O Negative covered "Hand Of Doom".

Let's all just take a moment to think about how amazing that would be.

  • @Thetarantinomaniac sombody could do that get the band together and get a T-O-N tribute band singer! That would be great would it not?lol

  • @Syklenut41 I know nobody's gonna believe this without some recorded proof, but I can actually do a pretty good Steele impression myself (at least on the low end)...

Another great potential cover for them would be "Can't Stand Losing You" by The Police. I'd just love to hear how they'd re-imagine the music for that one.

  • 5 people are dupahs.

  • This is a great cover

    \m/

  • 5 people lick their own neck backs.

  • The only song that I'll have playing at my funeral.

  • Pete did what Ozzy could never do in his over medicated blind journey in life.... he gave it soul and feel. You can feel the song with Pete like you can never feel anything Ozzy did/does because he can't feel anything.

  • @imamffa Yeah, Pete never took any "medication". They are both great singers.
