  • theres no proof that msg is actually bad for us its actually supposedly totally fine to consume look it up

  • i just made this fried rice and my housemate loves it, i can tell it by his squeaky-clean plate. however i didn't use MSG and i added chopped garlic, i substituted the straw mushrooms with oyster mushrooms. it turned out to be the most authentic thai fried rice recipe without using any "instant tom yum paste" at all. this is totally healthy. oh yeah not to mention i used olive oil too!

  • i love thai food

  • (1)prepare cooked rice for 2 persons (2)heat up wok & 3 tbsp olive oil (3)add 2 cloves chopped garlic, 2 chopped shallots, 6 slices chopped galangal, 8 sliced kaffir leaves, 2 stalks sliced lemongrass, 6 chopped bird's eye chilies (4)add 10-15 fresh shrimps (5)add 2 tbsp namprik pao (6)add in cooked rice (7)add straw/oyster mushrooms (8)add 2 tbsp fish sauce, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp salt (9)add 2 tbsp lime juice (from 1 lime) (10)add some coriander leaves (11)serve

  • This music is racist. Great recipe.

  • @UltraTexan what music is not racist then?

  • @UltraTexan Lol, how can music be racist?

  • Who said MSG causes cancer? has it been proven?, Regardless, If not MSG it's something else that would kill us anyways! And if that were true, how come the government hasn't band the use of MSG!

  • @19702005 i think MSG is alright only that it will dehydrate and make us thirsty. vegetable stock granules is a good substitute too.

  • @19702005 The government only looks out for its corporate interests. We are responsible for doing our own research.

  • Yummmmmm

  • how do you get rice yellow?? or do you just use yellow rice.

  • @MrGrowproductions the "yellow" rice is because of the Thai chili paste (namprik pao) LOL

  • Delicious! I don't add MSG and theres no diffence. Just make sure your rice is cold when you add it or it will turn to gum. I use leftover rice, refrigerated from the day before. Makes all the difference! It's a gotta try!!

  • every things taste good with MSG then it kill u lol

  • I'm Thai myself and I kind of don't like it when people use MSG in their food (and I don't know why but it seems that we Thais do love to add it a lot. lol)

  • what is Galangal?

  • e beccause i am new to this after boiling the rice do i let it cool down and if so for how long

  • fried rice is usually made from day old rice

also fried rice is made from things you have in your refirdgerator but if you want fresh rice then i suggest after boiling the rice to directly put the rice in your wok and fry it like that if your in a hurry. if not i suggest letting it sit for like a while (depends on you how long you want it to sit) then reheat it using a microwave perhaps or directly add it to your wok to fry it

  • In London you can get vegetarian shrimp in the frozen foods section of See Woo supermarket. It's in Lisle Street, just off Gerrard Street.

  • Where the hell is the Tom Yum ?

  • Galangal+shallots+kaffir leaves+lemon grass+that chili paste=pretty much what tom yum is.

(just read the ingredients in tom yum paste you'll see:)

  • Thanks Buddy :)

  • No problem miss! I just finished making it...i used chicken instead cuz i had no shrimp. Very good indeed.

  • superb

  • OMG this looks so fucking good!!

  • so relaxing for some reason

  • hahahaha i know its thai music you .. you something something! haha :D

  • I would hate to find any of her long untaimed hair in my fried rice!!

Also the MSG is a big NO NO. With all of those nice ingridients you should not need any chemical flavoring!

  • I have a Korean fried rice recipe on my channel. Check it out.

  • Looks great. Except she didn't have to murder the shrimp.

  • msg lol..

  • thats authentic chinese fried rice, good job I want to eat it all up!

  • not so. this is a modern version of thai fried rice. the use of lemon grass and kafir lime in fried rice is quite modern. Chinese only season the dish with light soi sauce beside the main ingredient.

  • ThhhhhhhhhhhAT MUSIC is soooooo anoyiiiing!!!!

but the FOOD!! oh my sweet potato its so good.

  • its traditional thai music..

  • what's the namprik nao sauce called in English? so many different types of chilli sauce

  • It's called Thai Chilli Paste :) Available in a jar or glass bloe , I am sure u can find in a paste section in super market or asian supermarket :)

  • My God! Were am I supposed to go and buy all those ingredients? I will be talking to my Lawyer tomorrow morning! I played the video hoping to learn how to make the fried rice that most common people eat, but instead, here I am, frustrated beyond repair; now I also have to go on, damaged for life, with that music inside my head. But you just wait and see how much my lawyer is going to take from you on punitive damages alone.

  • Oh relax, go to a thai market. They have everything you need. Even a chinese market will have those ingredients.

If you live in the middle of nowhere, you can buy the ingredients online.

  • that music is annoying lol

  • the shrimp is freakin over-cooked, but the dish looks really tasy!uummm..
