@suvariboy marriage is sanctified by god, all those drunk people in vegas getting married hammered and divorcing after the hangover subsides are doing something truly holy. However, a gay couple in a loving committed relationship for 30 years can not marry because it would be ugly and sinful, how is that not clear?

The "conservative family values" platform is a disingenuous strategy to rally votes & swing elections. While it's easy to feel sorry for the saps who keep falling for it-- voting against their self interests (the pro-corporate / anti-labor agenda benefits only about 20% of us)-- I still want to shake them all like a rag dolls for being blindly led by the political nose ring. If conservative means "Christian" nobody is reading the teachings of Christ; and fascist corporatism does not = freedom!
