  • Mmmmm,,,sexy Dodge Charger 1970 *Homer's Drool* This car is amazing. I hope that in a life time I can save enough to have one like it.

  • 68 tail lights -.-

  • dear santa..

  • 70 ft. end... 68 tail lights and my 3 year old leaves longer shid marks in his undies

  • scenic in the most literal meaning of the word !!!

  • Does anyone know what kind of wheels those are?

  • Does anyone know what kind of wheels those are?

  • lovin the paint job

  • shitty driver

  • Dear Santa...

  • poor car the mods ruind it and its a 68 not a 70 dumb fuck

  • @clockwork624 Ahahahah Look whos talking.. I never ever have seen a 68 with a wraparound bumper, and it doesn't have round marker lights. So keep your mouth shut.

  • @The68chargerlover aww ur mad cus ur a dumb fuck too that shits modified the body is a 68's and the tail lights so yea have fun with ur dumb shit self

  • @clockwork624 Hahaha ok dumbass... I'm not gonna waste my time arguing with you

  • @clockwork624 Haha its a 70, thats coming from the guys at pure vision, i asked them when i got the paint code for the orange

  • @redbullwrcmember well it has the body style of a 70 and grill but 68 tail lights

  • Nice

  • damn thats a dream car rite their, screw farari American muscle thrives all!!

  • It is a '70 with a '68 tail. Why, I don't know. It has the wrap-around bumper up front even though it's painted and not chromed and the doors are '70 doors. The other telling marks are the side marker/blinker lights but it looks like they removed them because I don't see '68 style, '70 style or any side marker lights on it for that matter.

  • 68 or 70 dont matter its still a charger, I just dont really care for the paint scheme

  • That cars a 1970 because of the chrome ring around the front end but has 1968 tail lights.

  • who does that lol

    its a 68

who will go through all the trouble to change the tail lights

  • @wowleo1 I'm sorry you don't agree with what Pure Vision designed. However, it most definitely is a 70 Charger with 68 taillights. It was designed as a whole car with a European feel.

  • @llilsass funny how people will talk before they read. Personally I like the idea - reminiscent of the 70's Opel Manta.

  • @5ive10 Thanks! It sure is frustrating that people don't read before they post.

  • @wowleo1 it takes about 15 min to switch the lights. all it is a couple bolts

  • @wowleo1 well as you probably dont know its not that easy to find these cars. And this car was mopar muscle magazine more than you will accomplish

  • awesome man i love this car but it is a 1968 you can see that on the rear lights the are round by the 70 the are straigt .

  • @jalhay please read my comment I just posted for Mr70ChallengerRT

  • thats actually a 68 look at the taillights

  • @Mr70ChallengerRT No it is NOT a 68, but rather, a 70 with 68 taillights. I've been around this car for almost 3 years and have heard the stories about all the little things done to it. The creators at Pure Vision decided that for this concept, the 68 taillights would look better than the original 70.

  • @llilsass oh ok my bad

  • Hey isn't this a '68?!

  • @colddietcoke No it isn't a 68. It is a '70 with '68 tail lights.

  • that has such a nice sound to it to go with the hp

  • The 68 tail lights look terrible. The 70 tail lights are alot better.

  • Right, the 70 is the perfect combination of 68' and 69': no chrome in the grill and the long tail lights.

  • I Always Wanted!

  • thats a 68'.

  • @zackattatck No it isn't a 68. It is a '70 with '68 tail lights.

  • isn't that a 68

  • @DylnHoCho No it isn't a 68. It is a '70 with '68 tail lights.

  • did you guys changed the rear lights on this one, it looks like it has the 68' tail lights. am I right?

  • Yes you are right. Pure Vision decided for the look of the car that 68 taillights would be better than the original

  • i never seen a charger diesel ?

  • It's not diesel

  • whats the petrol for ?

  • The company Pure Vision designed it for

  • O Cara e ruim de braço !!!!!

  • What a FANTASTIC location, where is this??

  • @Mac670 It was the training center for all emergency vehicle drivers in LA. It was just up the 15 from Pomona.

  • @llilsass Not sure where that is, not from the USA, the mountains in the background I mean, gorgeous backdrop, hesitate to say this for geographical ignorance alert.. :) but are they the "Rockies" ?

  • I love this sound!! 5/5

  • I bet the owner loves the Car more than his girlfriend/wife.

  • Well it was made for a company with 3 owners. So I'm sure they love their girlfriends/wives more than the car.

  • What a skirt! All that road and all that car and thats all you got?? Pussy!

  • More happened that day and not all of it got recorded. Sorry.

  • Didn't know those Chargers could fishtail like that... That's what's up... I need a Charger that turns like a dream...

  • This charger turns like a dream. Only a car with superior handling can turn like this. All those stock muscle cars can make doughnuts but none of them can look like this. Cheers

  • is 68. size, sides, tail lights, many details, is a Charger R/t 68.

  • I'm sorry, but after being around the car in person as well as knowing and speaking with Steve Strope and the crew at Pure Vision Designs, this is a '70 with '68 tail lights. I got the story straight from the source.

  • Yess, im sure. .. is a 70 with 68 taillaits!!.. . but why is a 70 charger?.. .R= thats is because in the front of the car it brings a part chrome, 68 and 69 dont bring, in the video it painted orange.

    Regards.

  • yes the front bumper is painted orange. It is part of the design the Pure Vision came up with. The thought that a huge chrome bumper would not flow with the design style they were looking for.

  • That is quite the hill-billy buggy. Do you have card board cut-outs of Bo and Luke in the back seats. Add a dixie horn and some orange paint you you are almost there. Well one year too new.

  • Dude I laugh my head off. in all good meanings. Southern by the grace of god.

  • sorry, no cardboard cut outs for the car...

  • omg...the sound of this car is incredible

  • i like these cars! it's the purest form of a car, i now cause i have worked on 60s mustangs.

  • its a 68 i can tell by its rear and and, i dont mean its tail lights..

  • No, I'm sorry, you are mistaken. It was originally a 1970 Charger. Pure Vision Designs and Steve Strope customized this car. I have ridden in it a few times and heard the stories. It is a 70 Charger with 68 tail lights.

  • thats a 68 charger :S

  • If you read further in these comments,in particular by ph3s1968, you will read that this is NOT a 68 charger, but rather a 70 charger with 68 tail lights.

  • Yeah I just noticed that, I'd rather take the '68 though. I like the round tail lamps and plain grille better.

  • don't get me wrong, the 68's were awesome too but why mix and match? Either way, this car is bad ass!

  • Comment removed

  • What the heck? It has the front of a 70 (look at the bumper) but a 68 rear? why?

  • its a 68

  • It's a 1970 Charger with '68 tail lights

  • well thats stupid

  • This was the design by Pure Vision. If you read further in these comments,in particular by ph3s1968, you will read WHY they used the '68 tail lights instead of using the originals.

  • NICE PAINT!!!!

  • What is it with you Europeans and this cornering stuff?! Every freakin car on the road

has to freakin corner or its a piece of crap! Yes straight line speed, mediocre cornering; that how US hot cars are built this is not new! and Nascar is so popular in the US because its where it started.

  • Looks like a '70 with '68 tailights!

  • what's the difference between the 70 & the 68 body? 0_o

  • The 70 has horizontal tailights like the 69's,the 68's have four round tailights. The 70's front has chrome all around the grill, the 68's just has chrome bumper below grill.

  • The front park-lights, side-markers and rear window are different too, but that's getting nit-picky. :)

  • thanks I wanted to know exactly what was different -_-

  • thats what i thought to

  • sounds like a 400 hemi with headers open. anyways whatever it is it is beautiful sound.

  • That would be 426 Hemi. Chrysler made a 400--I believe after 1972--but it was a real under-performing slug. The 383 Magnum, or even the 340, would eat the 400 for lunch. In the late 60's/early 70's, the only Hemi was 426 cubic inches.

  • Ahh..my mistake. Thanks for the correction.

  • I have to give the guys at Pure Vision respect for building such clean and unique rides. That being said, I also have to say that they are not my cup of tea. I can't help it but I'm stuck in the 70's. I prefer the spartanous beauty of a stripped down street freak as opposed to having my ass sunken down into 7 inches of padded, heated leather. I still like to work on my own car instead of dropping it off at a shop, along with my checkbook, and waiting for the call to come pick it up.

  • WORD! and WORD! to mbdks' comment too!

  • We at Pure Vision thank you for the complement! We know that the cars we build are not to everyones taste and only ask that people take the time to appreciate them for what they are. We all started out woking on our own cars in our driveways and for that matter we still do. I would like to be fair to the customers though and say that most of them do not have the time even if they have the knowledge to do things themselves, and most of them are very involved with the design process. Drive hard!

  • Start mixing & matching model years on a big-name very expensive buildup, and people will praise you for being "unique" or "risk-taking."

Do the same thing when you're a bucks-down hobbyist with a 383/auto customized project, and the same people will say you're a cheapskate hacking the poor car up.

  • Best comment Ive seen..I agree 100%

  • Listen to that cam.........You couldn't time that b!tch with a calendar..

    Huntin' big time.!!!

One of these days.......I will reward myself with retarded debt to own one.

  • I was just about to tell you that was a '68. Why did they retro fit the '68 lights? I LOVE the '69-'70 lights.

What a sound..!!!! Those Cars a MEAN.!!!! Did you do the "Road Runner" horn?

    Meep Meep.!!

  • The '68 tail lights were put in so the car would look more Ferrari-esque and allow the stripe to go down the back of the car without being interrupted by the tail lights. The stripe on Petrol was patterned after a Ferrari stripe. It was also chosen to help minimize the huge chrome front bumper.

No Pure Vision did not put the "road runner" horn on this car.

  • ohhhh so you basically built her from the ground up then so how much hp does she kick

  • I asked about that, and my fiance told me that they never put it on the dyno but they know it has to be high 500s because it just has a mild street engine in it.

  • thats a 1968 dodge charger dumbass the look a like impala tail lights give that away and you can tell that by the front end thats its not a 1970

  • The tail lights are not impala. They are from a '68 Charger. The rest of the body is from a '70 Charger. There are a lot more highly modified parts on this car. My fiance works for Pure Vision Design and worked on this car with Steve Strope.

  • You can tell EXACTLY by the front end that it's a 1970. ONLY 1970 Chargers had the wraparound bumper. This car is indeed a '70 with '68 taillights for some inexplicable reason.

  • cuz, 68' taillights look cooler? idk. I think a 68' is cooler all together

  • I don't think so. Double-circle taillights are unoriginal, used on everything from Corvettes, Chevelles, Ferraris, Impalas & a dozen other cars. Even the Pontiac G2 fer chrissake. The long taillights were a lot more original & distinctive and looked evil & badass.

  • For those questioning the 68 tail lights: The stripe design was chosen as a way to make the huge chome bumper on the '70 flow into the car instead of looking like an afterthought. We liked the stripe wide but it just didn't look right in the drawings cutting through the original lights. We also didn't like that there was no orange visable from the rear if the stripe ended at the back of the trunck... so we changed the tail panel to allow the stripe to flow down the back uninterupted.

  • that baby is mad clean!! props

  • badass car love the black & orange combo

  • I remember reading about this ride in Mopar Muscle - nice car, love the power choice - 472 hemi power......not to mention the awesome suspension and brakes and other goodies this car has.

  • Nice car mate,gotta love a Charger

  • thats a monster. it scary. yee haa

  • I'd love to see that car restored properly: Correct 1970 tail lights, original wheels, etc.

Hate to see the old cars all customized (ruined), but that's just me.

  • Go to a Chrysler show and you'll see plenty that all look the same just in different colors.

  • oh man wot a car, we got crap in the UK and u got chevy's and dodge's :(

  • Yeah your right man it's going on the top gear peoples heads too, they like cars like the Toyota Aygo and the ugly Honda small rounded-of box vehicle PFF...

When i was in London i saw some stangs' though, cool!

  • I swear I've seen your car at a car show somewhere before....

  • isnt that a 68 charger

  • 70 with 68 tail lights

  • Amazing. 8 gallons to the mile. Love it. Got a '68 GT stang (fastback) and '69 chevelle modified chassis and power train.

As far as the tree hugging enviromentalists, you should put a muffler on a cow's butt because they emmit methane when they fart. Everything should be in balance pal.

    llilsass---keep it rippin'--love your car.

  • I'd take a 1970 dodge charger over a lambo anyday...not even joking.

American muscle for the fucking win

  • and your the dumb one..... i'd take a lambo and then sell it and buy a 1970 charger, 1970 cuda, and a 1987 regal gnx. and still have money for a house.

  • Rofl, right. You totally took the statement way out of line, fucking retard. The question was one or the other, not a story.

    lrn2read

  • Interesting bastard indeed..70 front, 68 rear, shaved sidemarkers from the looks of it...I personally think the paint job is awful, and I'm not a fan of the ricer "colored brakes peeking through Dubbz" look, either. It's a muscle-car, fer chrissake!

  • Technically they aren't Dubbs. This car only has 19" wheels and that to improve cornering and braking for safety so that when the car IS out on the road the driver doesn't have to worry so much about the people around him ruining his car. Also I'm pretty sure that the colored brake thing started on European cars, not "ricers" Thanks for taking an interest though!

  • 19's on a classic muscle-car is just wrong. So are colored brake calipers. Dif'rent strokes 4 dif'rent folks, I suppose. I guess I've earned the right to criticize because I own a 1970 Charger that I wouldn't dare to bastardize or ricer-ize or European-ize or whatever. It's AMERICAN muscle. :)

  • personally i think that big meats on 15" wheels will set off any old muscle car nicely...

that being said... some of the older cars can look down right slick with the big wheels on them...

AND with that being said i have seen some disastorous looking muscle cars with big 17's and 18's on them...

  • Dude, thats what pro touring is all about. old school looks with new technology. these cars are meant to be driven and beat on, not sit in a garage. most are built to be driven fast and hard. Hell, check out the cars on bullrun, many of the classics on there are pro-tourers. dead reliable, and monster power.

  • Driven and beat on, eh? Seems like a lot of money and mods just to burn a couple donuts. :) Anyway, I wasn't referring to the car's function, I was referring to its form. I grew up loving muscle cars, I now own two (70 Charger & 86 Grand National) so you won't change my opinion that doing this shit to a classic muscle car is just wrong. Period. :)

  • Either way, his money, his preference. Enjoy your "classic muscle" grand national.

  • Oh, I do. And if you don't think the '86 and '87 "Turbo T's" and GNs aren't classic muscle, you evidently don't know much about performance. A GN will eat any Charger for lunch, with the exception of a blown 426 Hemi. I know because I own the best of both worlds. What do you drive, I wonder? LOL

  • Dude, your Grand national can be fast, but its a late 80's beater. every other drug dealer in california has one. Those and Fox body mustangs. powerful, but really shitty looks and quality. Im done here. have fun at the drag strip. Ill be at laguna seca racing a real performance car.

  • At 21 years old, somehow I doubt that. Dude. ;)

  • i never told you what i drive. a built subaru wrx is a well balanced car with ample power on tap, and at 21, its very feasible.

  • vivalaRice! O ya, I'd rather have a Subaru than a Charger or Grand National. LOL

  • 1970 charger ?there are 1968's rearlights ... :\

  • Yes they are. That's why this is a customization not a restoration

  • A 70 nose and tail lights from a 1968? Its a basterd but still cool.

  • i love them all but prefer a ford if i did not love em all i would not be watching this video. my comment before was to the guy who said u r hurting the enviornment. fuck that, burn em up. AMERICAN MUSCLE is the way to go. with cars that get 7 mpg and d big blocks

  • I understood where your comment was directed to. Mine was directed there too. I'm glad you enjoy all American muscle cars! I feel the same, they're all great, but I have a bias towards Fords too! :)

  • nice... but too short

  • Sorry, I totally agree, but this is all that Steve decided to do that day.

  • Cool I've seen this car on several magazines always wondered how it sounded, sounds gRrrrreat.

  • shark!

  • nice

  • Agreed! Hang in there. Don't let the mis-informed ruin hot rodding fun!

  • Its not like we go out EVERY day doing things like this. It was ONE day in February. It is also up to the owners and builders of cars whether to do events like this, so it is THEIR decision to waste gas or not.

  • Gimme a break! If you don't want to see true Hot Rods doing what Hot Rods do, don't open the video

  • your a fucking pussy... what a wank of a comment fuckin care bear tree huger go fuck off and save the whales...

  • mopar or no car

  • only a hemi makes my ole lady shemi!

  • No you are hurting it by breathing, please stop! (joke, not to be taken seriously)

  • no finer hot rod than a 66 fairlane gt FORD rules, mopar sucks

  • Look, you have your opinions and others have theirs. I have my own personal favorite type of car that differs from others. Mopar cars are great and when cleaned up really well they rock. Personally I'm a Ford fan, but I'm learning to be more well-rounded. Maybe you should too.

  • I'm confused. What is that thing? It's a '70 with '68 tail lights. Nice car though. Sounds GREAT!!!

  • It is a custom car and Steve Strope of Pure Vision decided how it would look.

  • My works for PETROL-ad

  • IMPRESIONANTE ....... el sueño de muchosss!!!!

  • Well ok then!! No harm done haha

  • God the sound of a cammed Mopar is awesome

    That's a 68 Charger BTW

  • This is a '70 Charger. My boyfriend works for Steve Strope of Pure Vision and also worked on building it. Although they did put a '68 Charger rear end on it as well as a '71 Charger dash, I am 100% sure it is a 1970 Charger.

If you have any questions about it, let me know. If I can't answer them, my boyfriend or his boss can answer it. But thanks for trying to correct me.
