I love Janelle, but this song swallowed her up her thin voice. This song would've better been pulled off by someone with a rock voice, like Prince or Michael Jackson. Actually, Prince would be perfect for this because it's HIS melody after all (refer to "Let's Go Crazy"). This is the only misstep on The ArchAndroid, but a very good one notwithstanding. I'll also hand it to her for appropriating Prince's melody and giving a cabaret feel to it. At least she did something different with it.

This girl is absolutely amazing ! I get this feeling of like Gwen Stefani vocals circa early No Doubt, and then the music is this giant mash-up combination of like Big Band, Orchestra, Hip Hop, and Punk (and reminds me some what of Gnarles Barkley in Many Moons) ... it's by far the most creative and interesting project I've seen from an artist in probably like a decade. I love it.
