I love Captain Beefheart and Tom Waits, so naturally when I was randomly browsing around on amazon, and heard a few songs on their Myspace, I had to buy "Rabbit Habits." It's now one of my favorite albums. I look forward to hearing more from them in the future.
@jdunmer1018 dude, it was the definition of awesome. to be honest, I enjoyed them more than gogol bordello (they didn't know how to end their set. Man Man was perfect ending on Black Mission Goggles)

its sad that this is what music has come to. Actually, this isn't even music. It's noise. All bands now are competing to be the weirdest, just play music.
It's sad all you hear is noise, because I can hear the tunes. It's sad there are not more open minded people in the world. They put on a pretty exciting show live.
I'm pretty darn sure they're playing music. Your definition of "music" is just narrow and well, for lack of a better term, ignorant. So they're playing instruments other than guitar, bass, and drums, (Oh, No!) but it still has melody and rhythm. I get it. You listen to Jimi Hendrix so you think you're some music critic now? Ever consider that maybe when Jimi was around people were like, "What is this noise? This isn't music."
Ok, so I said earlier that I don't like them, and I stand by that. I went to a Modest Mouse concert here some time ago and Man Man opened for them. And I agree with ind9ie, they do put on an exciting show. They're entertaining. And robwithanr you are correct, people did say that about jimi Hendrix. And I don't mind the instruments they play, I say go ahead, be unique. But I still don't enjoy listening to them, and sorry for posting that on a video that fans watch.
dude your high this is some of the best shit out there if you dont like it your dead.. if you do like it check out X+X their nothing like this but like it, you dig it
ya i had a few words with honus outside a show in chicago, hes cool guy. My buddy rang the bells with them in the ballad of butter beans, it was a low stage and pow wow gave him bells to ring
i saw modest mouse in detroit and this band came out first and i was thinking who the hell is this? what kind of a name is man man? and then they started playing and it was so freakin amazing and awesome! the thing that really got me was at one point they were doing a jam and the piano player was just going around making noises with things like throwing silverware on the ground, or the best part was when he poured water into a metal bowl in front of the microphone...just great!
I like how no one remembers there was another opening band that was just awful, it was called Love As Laughter. They made you worry so much and then Man Man hit the stage So AMAZING. They pulled it off better then Modest Mouse at the show I caught up in MA.
You lucked out then, when I saw them it was a blurred melody for about 45 minutes and the only time you knew when a song ended was when they announced. "We're love as laughter, and we're from Brooklyn." Which they did about six or seven times.
They did nothing like that for me. But they played with Clipse, and every song of theirs ended with glass shattering and them going "We got some real Philly up in here, real Philly."
mmm hits ya in the loins it does

This sounds excellent to me. Perhaps this is just their taste in music. Who said they were trying to be weird?
And btw, I just saw them live at the Gogol Bordello concert in Boston, and they were such a great opening band that the crowd called for an encore.
