Using the right technique, the frames of each window (especially the top frame) are carefully cleaned before moving on to clean the glass. This ensures that the finished window is left perfectly clean. In some circumstances (e.g. the window is cleaned very regularly) this won't always be necessary, but it is best practice to do so in any case.
