  • Sick fucking truck! lemme have it!

  • Cool truck but im not a fan of hood scoops

  • whared you guys get that roll bar?

  • Is the truck still a 4x4

  • you should bump the timming up it will crank faster and give it more power

  • That pretty good! Check out TeamDrunkan for another sweet burnout!

  • wicked yep you destroyed those tires in one take>>>>this is why i love entertainment value

  • I dont understand why you would have such a low exhaust on a four by four....That MUST be good for the clearance

  • would a 440 fit in the 97 body style?

  • I would try it. you can make almost anything work if you want to

  • What all did you do to get the truck like this? I have an '87, that I want to drop a 440 in.

  • in this video we have removed the four wheel drive running gear, we kept on useing the 8 an one quarter axel. then put the big block and 727 down in the hole and made a mount on the exsising crossmember for the tranny. we had to cut the drive shaft from our doner New port, the universal joint fit the rear housing so that was a plus. Build some motor mounts run some fuel lines and it should run. Thats the build in a nut shell

  • @Sockman88 My '87 is a SE trim level, non 4x4, 3.9L V6/5-Speed manual. I'm going to do a V8 swap, wanting to do a 440 6-Pack, ending up with a 318, but either way, I'm going with a Dana 60 rear...

  • holy shit....thats one of the better burnouts ive seen on youtube! badass mopar too!

  • i spy a chery bomb straigt pipe, do you have headers too? i have stock manifolds to a cherry bomb on my 97 dak 4x4 with the 318. doesnt sound nearly as sweet as yours

  • doin my 89 in 2 years 440 and all

  • gotta love dakotas!!! mopar for life

  • holy smoke!

  • omg so red neck

  • @dodgefan44 you can there the same truck just get a longer driver shaft or add another one not hard but you can

  • @daj145 but at the same time i want to keep it stock

  • i got the 89 lol but not with the 440

  • Do u kno if u can put the transmission from a regular cab 1992 dodge dakota into a 1995 extended cab dodge dakota. they are both the 3.9 v6 motor and both are 4x4. if not do u kno of anybody?

  • yeah, same shit

  • yeah man there all the same

  • oh ok thanks man

  • no problem! anytime

  • @MLGsucks8693 make sure the kickdown is the same the valve body will be cause that switched in 96

  • Sounds sweet!

  • Very nice im thinking about putting the 440/727 in instead of my 318 in my 93 dakota what did you do for mounts and what about the cross member.

  • We used the motor mounts off the old New Port. We left them on the motor when we put it in and when the motor was centered we welded the old car mounts to the truck frame. we did the same thing when mounting the tranny, left the mount on the transmission and it just happened to be close to the transfercase cross member so we built a bracket to join them. We also cut our crossmember in two and made it so you could unblot it into two pieces for easier transmission extraction.

  • Where you able to use the drive shaft that came originally with the truck before putting the all that in?

  • no, the drive shafte is out of a '71 new port custom, we had to cut it to fit.

  • sounds like a race car. badass!!!

  • Nice.

  • 440 with a 727 smokin em up. that speedo had to be reading 120! THE BEST BURNOUT EVER!!!! I am impressed!

  • that's pretty badass man but that exhaust pipe looks kinda funny

  • im doing the same thing to my 01 dakota, how was the installation process? what do i need to look out for?

    01 dakota sport

    440 dual quad

    727

  • Well I don't know how similar the two bodies are but,you will have to heat and bend your headers to make them fit between the block and the frame, and cut the rad suport and move the rad ahead, unless you want to set the motor back into the fire wall. The hood will have to be scooped too if you use a high rise intake and spacer.

It will be a fun build and well worth it when your done.

  • sounds awsome, great vid.

  • That dont sound like a v6 to me lol. using a 727 trans?

  • yes 727 torqueflite

  • nice.

  • Nice truck, I dont know how they fit i big block under the hood. Is it still Four wheel drive? sounds like headers but i just dont see room. Not too impressed whith using the linelock to get the to smoke.

  • we removed the four wheel drive to make room for the block and the headers. It doesnt need the linelock to smoke but it did to stay put for the Vid.

  • dude where did u get the roll bar? i cant find one for my '89 dakota.

  • we ordered it from dodge.

  • that sounds so good what exhaust??

  • Two thrush mufflers form Car Quest, and some canadian tire elbows and tail pipes.

  • you have got to be shitting me! that was SWEET!

  • where did u get the hood, its fucking sweet

  • looks kinda like they made it on a press brake and some 20 gage steel maybe? is the hood under the center cut out to fit more big block than stock?

  • I made it, we cut the original and made the sides and the back fin.add some body fill and call it good. lol

  • how much of a lift is that?

  • I donno it was that high when we got it...

  • look like its just bigger tires braw

  • where is this truck from looks familiar pretty cool 440!

  • instead of going threw the trouble of putting in a big block try a 318 bored in stroked i dont know how it would run and i dont have the cash to do it. figured i would throw that out there for yall

  • @john42092 thats what im doing to my 92....just as soon as i get the motor in ill post a video..

  • yea adam ur awesome good thing ur lil sis showed me this damn thang

  • nice 440 but i would have put it into a newer truck

  • he's just working with what he's got

  • That thing is running Beautiful nice work!

  • 3rd gear! haha

  • he even grabed 3rd gear

  • crazy sick fun !

  • i got an 88 just like it just wondering how the hell you got that 440 to fit i just replaced the stock 3.9 with another bout 3 years ago and i ain't happy with it. let me know what you did. appreciate it

  • well we took out the four wheel drive stuff. you have to leave the end of the axel in the front wheel or else the wheel will fall off.(no big deal with some frigging around they will come appart) Then we cut the rad support and moved the rad ahead.we had to make a few custom brackets to hold the rad and a piece of steel tubing across the top of the rad support to hold it still but it was nothing complex.

  • oh yeah you will need hood pins cause the latch will be gone when you cut the rad support.we had to put an electric fan off of a crown vic in it lol. its tight but it fits.(any one with a mechanical mind can do this with the tools, were just autobody men and we did it...lol)

  • you have to make a custom trans mount too.

the mount on the 727 was luckley very close to an existing cross member so that's what we mounted it too.

  • hell yeah

  • that was great , i swaped a 318 for the old 3.9, not race ready yet but for now its doing 11.5 in the 1/8 mile . next year trying for better smoky and faster times

  • do u still have the 318 sure could use one 4 my 92

  • we dont have a 318 but we stil have a big block 383 from a 71"

  • shoulda pulled it back to second gear for the roll.that exhaust hangs lower than ricer body kits wtf?

  • holy shit!!, how about a vid on that thing getting up and going?!

  • VIOLENT ton 440 ... ca doir marché en sale!!!!!!!!!

  • im pretty sure it was 1-2-3 no od but maybe im mistaken?

  • yeah its only a 3 speed... I wish it had od, it would be easier on gas.

  • hey man was that the 3.9, you had in there before or did you do a swap to the 440....same rear end???, love the exhaust system man, sick burn out!!!

  • yes it had the 3.9 manual shift and we pulled that out and put the 440 in it. we are still using the 8 1/4 rear end with it welded and it has not broken yet. gotta love mopar performance.

  • NICE DUDE!!!! Did I hear thet thing get into OD!

  • haha sweet, get that thing to MDP again

    see ya there???

    Scott
