  • how mant 8 year olds can say they played a jam session with the late and great almighty Les Paul! This kid is amazing! Im not jealous of him im just glad theres someone in the world thats my generation that still can play legitly play the blues once B.B King and others pass away.

  • I like it The ANTI Bieber

  • @KB1QHM Tal and the Bieb are thinking about starting a band. What would be a good name?

  • Such a shame, people cannot just appreciate pure talent, and enjoy it for what it is, without getting into the sort of stupid insulting comments like below! But I suppose at the end of the day everyone has a right to be unintelligent, just some people abuse the privilege. Tallan rocks, never mind what the trailer trash say in their own badly spelled way!

  • awwww, man, im jealous, i can play piano but i never got to perform in a public place, so i never got to try that. anyway, he is really good.

  • @MrMrLsutton how much do you smoke a day? seriously! YOUR A JELOUS LOSSER! GO DIE! U TROLL

  • @MrMrLsutton nice job posting the same comment on 5 different vids ass hole

  • played this young guy ever with Clapton? He' so freaking great!!

  • Good Job T-Man, keep the spirit alive brother. Play them blues.

  • Well T-man fans I just wanted to let you know that International Artist Ron Suchiu has now completed Tallan's painting "Channelling The Blues" I was in the gallery yesterday helping to pick out the frame for the original painting. Once the painting is framed we will get it posted on line for all to see. Don't forget that if you want personal updates on the prints and their availability please feel free to e-mail me at rzarb@suchiu.com

  • so awesome to play with the legend himself. I'm gonna go out on my next few pay checks and buy another guitar, I think its gonna be a les paul.

  • Tallan I saw you at teh Dallas Guitar show! You were amazing! I saw that you have been doing video instruction for dangerousguitar along with some pretty big names! thats awesome

  • Maybe it is better no one signed T-Man cause I think God is his agent. Cause this kid has a history now cause he has played with the best in the business.

  • T Man take them down to soul town.

  • A Blues Soul in a young man amazing

  • ...that's not just talent...thats reincarnation..

    fantastic !

I'm looking forward to the rebirth of REAL Blues..

  • the boy is just 9 years old and the man is 94 years old!!

    talent flowing on the stage!

  • LOL. You know he's good cause Les Paul said he was!!!

  • I think it's ironic that "Tallan Latz" sounds like "Talentless" because he definitely has talent. a ton of it.

  • This kid is a fucking boss. I wish I could've played with Les Paul!!!

  • wow, that is all.

  • The next justin bieber..... oh wait he has a REAL Talent never mind

  • Tallan, that literally gave me chills! You have n incredibly bright future doing something you love! Bravo!

  • FINALLY, this kid says his favorite is the blues yet hes influenced by joe satriani and plays ibanez guitars. FINALLY someone to steer him in the right direction.

  • Les paul for his age hese still got his sense of humour

  • @xEnZoProDucTioNz Hate to break it to you, but he's dead

  • this kid is amazing!!!

  • Check out Layla Zoe for someone who is bringing the blues back BIG TIME. Canada's Darlin' of the Blues, our very own Firegirl, Layla Zoe!!!!

  • watch?v=1eytT2KDolg&feature=related thay shout make a band

  • Really good phrasing! Sorry to hear about that ban on your playing, but at least ya got a really good topic to sing the blues about now.

  • hey newspaper boy... Wheres the newspaper?

  • i always thought Les Paul was a guitar. now i find out hes a guitarIST? well, you learn something new everyday

  • @HSong4ever The famous guitars were of course named after the famous guitarist.

  • @HSong4ever Mr. Les Paul invented the electric guitar. Oh yea!

  • At the end of this video, Les asks Tallan to play another song. Is that video available?

  • It makes me soooo happy to see young talant.

  • The progression, in just 2-3 years is.... is...

I'm at a loss for words..

    WOW!!

    J.C.

  • wat a talented kid, he better get big, he deserves it

  • lol they consider this thing a prodigy? go watch sungha jung, thats a prodigy

  • @nsasukes he doesn't really show off in this video...

  • hey what tune

  • I allready love the little dude he's amazing and has got a great future ahead of him let him ............................................. justing bieber with the old and allways trusted sound of the BLUES

  • Blah blah blah yada yada yada, Hey Les, you shriveled, old coot, how about you cram it and let the youngster show us what he's got. Then you can wag that tongue for all you're worth.

3:45 If you've had enough of old man withers tonguing the stage from behind his falsies.

Am I the only one who feels he disrespects the newcomer?

  • @tantoedge For what reason? Jealousy?

  • @tantoedge yeah he disrespects him so much that he invites him to play with him

  • @tantoedge Yeah, Les is talking the whole time because if you're to idiotic to look farther than just the main point, you would have seen that it was his birthday. I think if someone's 93, they say can whatever the hell they want. So, just shut your mouth.

  • Tallan, what an amazing experience to hear you play' America should be so very proud of your wonderful Talent. and Congratulations on you fantastic parents.

  • Tallan Latz = the Anti-Bieber

  • It's in my sincerest opinion that Tallan Latz is the reincarnated Jimi Hendrix. Just sayin but I think it's true.

  • @DeathDuoCovers a bit of a stretch as Jimi was one hell of a guitarist. But i doubt Jimi was this good at his age.

  • @juniwilliams He is a MINI JIMI !! He's just carrying on where Jimi left off and thank God a new generation will enjoy the Blues!!! Check out Layla Zoe too!

  • the most famouse guitar lick from Les......."plink, plink"

  • Man, you're so lucky, Tallan, to be able to play with a legend like Les Paul before he died. That's something to be proud of for the rest of your life.

  • @csigamer90 Amen,

  • Dude, Les Paul is awesome.

  • This kid is the man! Way to go !!!

  • Green Onions

  • 23 justin bieber fans

  • what is he doing now?

  • I'm 17, weigh about 173 and my last major lift in power lifting was around 285. Yes I'm a fat fucking 50 year old, no wait I'm the child whose jealous. My bad. I can play blues like non other, which in turn goes into metal. And the only reason I couldn't prove to you now is cause I'm still currently looking for job (damn economy) and lack the funds to buy even the cheapest camera. So fuck all of you dipshits

  • Let me guess metalheadbanger. I can tell by your name and your comment you r either a wanna be muscian that sucks making $50 a week, or if your a kid, that sucks at everything and u r jealos of him

  • So this kid play blues off of scales? Big fucking deal, he's no prodigy. Screw him he's no real blues player, he's not good at all. Any dumb fuck with and knowledge of scales could pull the shit this kid pulls off.

  • @MetalHeadBanger011 Wow. All i have to say is if you cant say that to his face say it to someone your own size u fat 50 year old fuck.

  • @MetalHeadBanger011 Most 8yr olds couldn't

  • @MetalHeadBanger011 Post a video if you're so good you slob. You're green with envy!!!!!!!!

  • Does Anybody know what this song is called?

  • I was starting to think that this fucker would talk through the whole video.

  • @olafurhh03 you know thats THE Les Paul your talking about right?

  • yes

  • THE BIEBER KILLER! :D:D:D:D

  • I hope this kid never gets silenced. Best guitarist ever honestly. Imagine how amnazing he'll be when he's twenty

  • Funny, its been three years, he has a few you tube videos, but still no music of his own. Its one thing to read a book and be good at it like a drone, its another to be artistically gifted, PEOPLE shit their pants just cause he is young.

This isn't sports, you need more than talent, you need spark. its SERIOUSLY LIKE THE MONA LISA VS. CONNECT THE DOTS.

  • This kid will be a millionaire 10 times over.

  • old people talk to much, play the music!

  • You are a SUPER talented kid and I hope all your hard work pays off and your best dreams come true - just remember that education always comes first - NO MATTER WHAT!!

  • @clongprong Who needs fuckin' education when you've get the blues? Go die!

  • @PanekPL Look at it this way - without education, you wouldn't be able to post stoopid, ignorant, "tard-assed, cowardly comments like the one you just posted. I'd bet that you must've been the brightest kid in your class.

  • lucky kid. RIP LES PAUL!

  • u kjnow that kid got threats from regular pweople and the goverment screw u gov!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u try to take talent away for a stupid jelousy problem what u want money from him of course idiots but hes and awsome little dude

  • @rockerz4ever21 When you put the crack pipe down, can you explain what the fuck you jsut said to the rest of the world?

  • @GitarStu

I think this is what he was getting at

In 2008, Latz's father Carl received a letter from the state of Wisconsin informing him that Tallan may not play club venues anymore, as a result of an anonymous e-mail sent to state officials complaining that he was too young to be performing in taverns and nightclubs. His booking agent also received an anonymous letter threatening her with death should she continue booking the 8-year old guitarist.[1

  • @relapse68 way to copy right off wikipedia like you know what you are talking about. haha sorry

  • @Rareenergy Mate not trying to impress anyone, i quickly copied and pasted it in to clear up what someone was trying to explain but not doing a very good job at. I had no idea what he was on about until i read the Wikipedia stuff and then it made sense to me so thought I’d post it over for rockerz4ever21 who wrote this "When you put the crack pipe down, can you explain what the fuck you just said to the rest of the world?"

  • @rockerz4ever21 What the fuck are you talking about?

  • DUDE! THAT S A GIBSON!

  • @LOLUROCK123 he has like 11 guitars included a fedner prs and that gibson

  • ah..finaly something worthwhile watching, looks like blues's comin' back again eigh?

  • This kid is gonna have soul once in an interview he couldn't describe why he liked to play guitar, so he just played a few riffs as happy as can be, smiling and amazed that the guitar could make such beautiful noises!

  • Sounds a little like Peter Green...nice tone!

  • hey mom ill be back by dinner. where are you going? to kill the 19 people that dislike this kid. all by yourself? no with the other 315 people that have brains

  • god i hope he gets big and brings blues back.

  • @TheToasterTV The Black Keys have already brought the blues back

  • @letsrun98 The Black Keys arent really that much of a tribute to real blues artists.

  • @TheToasterTV Blues never went anywhere. It just needs press

  • @TheToasterTV ?When did it leave?

  • Check out Dave Specter, he's a blues guitarist from Chicago and he's incredible

  • Strikes me that this kid played better than the old guys around him.

I think if the backing had been better , he'd have launched into some full on lead.

Felt like he was just itching to go with it , but the old guys were a bit lame.

I can't wait to see what his youtube clips will be like in a few more years

  • Pol: I'm so glad you play a Les Paul

    ROFL

  • I'm 15 and I can't even do what he can do to that guitar.

  • @TheWarCandy i´m 15, too... I can :D

  • I love the part at 5:11 where Les plays the wrong note XD XD XD XD XD

  • Cool Kid ~ Cool song ~ Cool LES PAUL!...

  • ok, i hate that kid, hes playin PRS guitars (check out his videos) and he played with Les Paul!!!!! And all he does is play the pentatonic scale up and down while i sit here studying and improving using techniques and intervals and arpeggios and scales and stuff!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @HiImJerry8 suuutttup you're just jealous...prick !!

  • @HiImJerry8 well then do what he does and you won't be watching his youtube vids, instead you'll be out there with him! you're lame....

  • go go tman rock American Ideal

  • This is a once in a lifetime chance to play with someone of Les's caliber! You're one very lucky and talented kid.

  • I bet his perent are Like ...Jaa go play da guitar or we smack your ass ...you will always say like I like guitar I love ..JAjajajjaaaa

  • WOWSER kid! Playing second fiddle to Les Paul in this no less. I mean Les Paul just takes his hands off the guitar and just enjoys listening to this blues prodigy working.

  • whoever says Gibson Les Pauls are "overpriced" and "overrated" need to get their brain checked by a doctor

  • WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY COOL!

  • LES PAUL=LEDGEND!

  • that didnt sound great. kid is good, but this wasnt his best.

  • Luckiest S.O.B alive!!!!!!!

  • KID CAN RIP!

  • ill tell you what! out of all the legends this kid has got to sit in with ONLY Mr. Les Paul is so classy that he let's the kid get his piece in dig? Les aint got a thing to prove EVERYONE knows Les can get down! Way to usher the kid in, just like you would want to brought into the biz.

  • he is soulful but I think that everyone thinks he is super good. he is good for his but is he good for just being good. just think about it. would you rather be just plain good or good for your age.

  • R.I.P Les Paul your spirit shall live on forever thanks for everything you have doone for music from The Solid Body to the innovations such as multi-tracking

  • Wow Les Paul, I was asked to trade my guitar for a Les paul and a fender in the 70's, I still have my guitar, 1978 now 2010 I love me Baby, and she's sounds even sweeter. Tip my hat of to the blues guitarist, blue grass country that showed me a real good Friend My Guitar. BB King Awesome. xoxo ;}

  • this kid kicks ass!

  • dang i hope this kid doesn't end up like Kurt Cobain, he is good

  • R.I.P. Les Paul

  • LES like his guitar and Les paul is guitar

  • he kinda reminds me of Ray Charles the way he moves his head lol.

  • This kid is amazing

  • In technical skills he isn't that great.

But his sound, is so soulful, it breaks the rules of music in general. and that's what it's all about, the blues.

    keep rocking kid.

  • Are you kidding me!?!?!? You mean your actually saying that you think heavy metal speed megadeath whatever the fuck you call it is harder to improvise then blues??? You know what just shut the fuck up, blues takes soul deathmetal is just a little scale played quikly no soul involved their! U kknow nothing of music sir

  • Les was one of the first to popularize the solid body. Don't thing he actually invented it, but he definately had a large hand in its evolution. And yes this kid is awesome! True raw talent. Envy......

  • Les was one of the first to popularize the solid body. Don't think he actually invented it, but had a large hand in its evolution. And yes this kid is amazing. True raw talent. Envy.........

  • theyre both hard i think

  • dude this kid is gonna be big!

random question, les paul was the inventor of the solid-body guitar, right?

  • les paul invented the electric guitar itself, he also invented double track recording so you could record 1 instrument and put it alone with other seperatly recorded instruments

  • not exactly solid-body

but is the inventor of the Les Paul style guitars

  • @cavedweller1996

look up les paul and you'll find one of the most iconic guitars in the world.

  • i dissagree

    basics blues isnt that difficult

but seriously blues is probably the one of the hardest things to improvize with

  • @ShmahoogaleMusicProj if you can feel, it cpmes naturally. but if you cant, it is one of the hardest things to do

  • R.I.P Les Paul thank you for everyhting you did for music

  • This kid IS AWESOME!!!!!!! Make a channel kid for followers and lemme know. Hell Ill make one for ya lolol

  • i guess when u have been invited on stage by les paul , then u can rank on the kid, enuff said !

  • Let's no forget that anybody can copy the likes of Mike Portnoy, John Petrucci, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Herman Li, and so on. But to play the blues in general, you need a soul. And this kid has it. Like what Crossroads say.. you can't play blues unless ya from mississippi, boy.. And this kid has something that 20-year olds are able to achieve.. He blows my mind away. This is pure talent. I'm amazed.

  • @bahbuh

    Uhm...

    Satriani has soul too :P

  • mike portnoy is a drummer einstein

  • RIP LES PAUL

  • LOL @ 5:08! That kid is a pro. He's born to rock.

  • this kid is awesome!!! his face looks like he's so much older! so funny how the guitars as big as he is! keep it up kid!

  • Techinical or not.. blues requires a certain intuition... It's more heart than skill...

You can take a dozen metal guitarists and I promise you there wouldn't be 4 of them that could do a decent blues improv..

  • I love Mr Les Paul he is so funny "I gotta try and stay with ya here.." HILARIOUS!!

  • ya dude hes 8 thats amazing for even an adult no matter the genre hes gonna be good

  • shut up - he's quite clearly pretty amazing for his age and I'm willing to bet you only posted that because you are jealous of his skill and talent - well done dude, that was absolutely incredible!

  • @Olpaj dude seriously shut up... he was playing drums at 3... and guitar at 6... iim sure hell be able to handle jazz at 14 or 15

  • maybe he is..but have you seen this kid play?hes talented...maybe it is blues..the so called easiest..but hes good...

  • speed metal? thats all scales played fast over and over again come on man be serious

  • @thebourbonman Its actually not, but i hope this guy stays at blues, he is talented for this.

  • @thebourbonman And blues is a single scale played slowly with "feeling." What's your point?

  • @851852093114208513 I'm sorry? That's not blues at all, and if you listened to it and heard it too, you'd know that.

  • yeah so i suppose some stevie ray vaugh is some real easy stuff to pick up on...

  • shut up you have jealoux

  • metal's not hard. it's just really fast picking, which is about the easiest skill in guitar playing. he could kick ass in speed metal (if it were worth playing). and jazz isn't very much harder than blues.

  • Tallan Latz sounds like Talentless, which he obviously isnt

  • This kid rocks! I bet he was kinda thrown off by Les Paul asking him what key his song was in. Maybe he doesn't know much about music in that way... but hey, neither did Stevie Ray Vaughan. :D

Keep it up, T-Man! Lucky you, getting to play beside the lengendary Les Paul!

  • Man, this kid is not only awesome, but he got to play with the king of electric guitar. I think I would be silent to, being in such awe of sharing the stage with Les Paul.

  • Most average kids are not cool. He must be special.

  • For all you that dis this kid, give it about ten years then your opinion will change. His little hands can barely grip the fret board and yet he can still jam.

  • He's not a good player the only thing going for him ,..Is.....He is young.

  • What a SHIT name though. Sounds like talent Less LOL

  • I played on stage with this kid, I'm an 11 year old and I also hung out with him before the show. Hes pretty much your average kid, hes cool.
