Well, all you need is a sheet of plastic that you can cut to the right length and then with a heat gun bend the front and back. Plactic weld or epoxie on a wheel mount so the ski can rotate like a wheel and the use some small rubber bands to fix the in place like you can see here. Hope that helps and happy flying. :-)
Ok - cool. Thanks for the reply I appreciate it. Im gonna try to buy skis and modify them from the internet. Thanks again - Andrew Hanover, Massachusetts
I coated my SuperCub with fiberglass sheeting and polycrilic....takes a hell of a beating. Spektrum dx5 radio and hs 81 servos. Flys great, much better than stock. The 450 outrunner gets here in a week!
you have made an awesome super cub.. I just dont understand how to match up a new battery and motor with the exisiting radio equipment. ? any suggestions.
Well, are you trying to fit a brushless motor and Lipo Battery to standard HZ Cub radio equipment? That would be a wast of time. Mail me and tell me what you are trying to achieve. Then I can advise you on what I would do.
Hi ratty, I'm even more impressed that its home made. Undercarriage is very close to original piper cub. Good work :) Now I will have to make use of all the broken spare carbon rods I have from my esky honeybee king 2 training gear sets.
Hi, Firstly let just say what a fine job you've made of all the modifications. Could you possibly tell me the make of the undercarriage and motor mount. Also did you have any problems mounting the motor with right and down offset?
The undercarriage is home made, like everything on the cub. I used 1mm alu sheet and carbon rod. Then painted the it all. As for the motor mount, all I did there is use the same offset as the original.(Motormount is also home made from carbon. There is a new one on the table as we speak, but is is still a little way off. I will post it as soon as I have finished her.
Hey, I'm doing a scratch built Brushless Super Cub and would like to know where can I get the motor mount you had in on your Cub? It's the final piece of the puzzle.
There is a uni mount you can get from hobby shops that should work fine. (But they are heavy) Hope you post your cub, so we can have a look. Keep flying :-)

Forget about the stock radio equipment ! Alle is home made. Step by Step Development !!!

does this plane have rudder on the main wings stock?
RcAntax 3 years ago
No, the HZ cub only comes with elevator and rudder. This plane is modified in many ways.

Nice job. How are you holding the wing on without the bands?
itssssssme 3 years ago
Hi and thanks, The wing is held on with a plastic nut and bolt.

Could you send me a link on the flap hinges please? Thanks :)
gavinleet 3 years ago
Hi, Sorry for the late reply. I don't have a link for the hinges as we make them ourself.
ratty8411 3 years ago
not to be a dick or anything but that type of flap is called single slot. :)
burtonrider316 3 years ago
Is there a forum or a webpage where you guys document your modification processes?
I would really like to see more of how you develop and implement these ideas.
