The claw shouldn't have any issues picking tubes up on an open floor (not against a wall) once the claw is installed on the robot. I was struggling to keep the claw at the right height from the floor while also keeping the drill from kicking back in my hand. I will post up a new video once the claw is mounted to the robot and in it's final revision.

it seems like it would encounter some problems if it couldnt push the tube up against a solid surface when it goes in for the pick up
