I really wanted to like the game but,death glitches are my biggest annoyance and I ran into a lot of them not to mention the high speed Sonic levels weren't fun,but when you don't run into glitches its an alright game,personally the story makes it worth playing...except for that damn ending -_- but whatever in my opinion its like Sonic and Secret Rings,it has potential and it can be fun if you have the patience for it plus the music is awesome
Yeah, I agree that this game is awesome (and the first game I got for 360.) Honestly, most of the glitches are either fun, ignorable, or don't even seem like glitches to me. For instance, standing upside-down on the loop in Wave Ocean is just sucky physics. :P So yeah, those who hate it are entitled to their opinion, as I am to mine. Great song BTW. :)
@SonicAndi3 Yeah I own a copy of Sonic 06 too! I mean yeah it has glitches, but the levels are fun to play over and over again, I am on the track of getting all silver emblems since I got done getting an S on every act mission.
@SonicAndi3 Maybe because the cons heavily outweigh the pros. There's a reason people would remember all th ebad over the good, and that's simply because there's barely any 'good' worth mentioning. The music and scenery and Dan Green were the only good parts, honestly.

I'm sorry but sonic was as slow as a frozen turd in this game unless he was on a speed boost or on some loops were you don't have to press anything, there was WAY more then two glitches, the speed sections were uncontrollable and those are just the main gameplay issues of one character. It COULD of been really good, it had massive potential I think and it was really trying to be SA3 but it fails in most aspects. Most people enjoy a game for what it is, not plain fanboyism
@YohanBone He doesn't need to move so fast you can't see. It ruins the platforming. Colors, and generations are ridiculous, not just as Sonic games, but as games, period. The Genesis games were slow, relying on dash panels for speed. Sure, if you go out and look for them. But if you just play it, you're not going to meet more then 2. And the rest are fun to fuck with. A person isn't a fanboy just for liking Sonic 06. To be a fanboy, I'd have to worship all Sonic games. I wholly hate the last 2.
@radicalcrash yeah I see your point but not the speed like in generations or colours I ment more like the adventure games, in those you still go faster just on foot without the need of speed boosts and I felt it worked with those 3D titles. I felt it never messed up with the platforming in those games, but I can see why you like the normal sonic levels in 06 and each to there own I suppose.
@YohanBone I love the Adventures, and that's why I love 06. I don't think it's physically possible for the game to have a bad camera because you have total control of it 98% of the time, so you create your own angle. The controls are so tight, you can do two or three 360s with one jump. There's about 3 consistent glitches, and the others you might find are cool. The story is true to the series' Japanese roots. Colors and generations would be better games for Mario or Crash Bandicoot, not Sonic.
@radicalcrash There is SOO much more glitches, but the game still has so much more wrong with it. Just because you can move the camera doesn't mean it wont go out of control by itself (which it does). The controls are awful in the speed sections, the over arching plot is decent but everything in between (contrived missions, plot holes, and the general retarded details in the story). The game in general is just broken and was rushed and not made with care at all :/
@YohanBone I think, in three years and 164 plays through the game across three copies of it, there are maybe 6 gitches. If you're in control of the camera, it's not possible for it to be a bad ange. The ony bad angle is Silver's Egg Genesis. The controls are excelent in mach speed! Way better then recent Sonics! As long as a Sonic game doesn't cross the T rating, it's not overarching. There's not any retarded details in the story. There's unholy amusement parks in space. No plot holes, either.

Silver giving the emerald to Elise is how she had it at the start of the game. Time isn't linear. And Elise's father didn't seal it in himself because he was going to die, and then Iblis woud have been released anyway. In any case, that isn't a pot hole, it's just confusing.
@radicalcrash but when blaze died solaris died with her. The camera is bad, in tight areas it will ocationaly spaz out and alot of the time will be in a really awkward place when you really need it to work properly, and there is no possible way you can say the speed sections in 06 are better to control then the hedgehog engine stuff or even good to control at all. You cant stop, you cant back up, you cant turn around, you can barely turn at all, you cant move when jump and you trip up on pebbles

I'm playing it now. And I'm having no problems as usual. It doesn't spaz anywhere. I can easily say the mach speed is better then the bland hedgehog engine. You aren't supposed to stop in the mach speed, or turn around. You can steer with a billion times more precision then the slippery hedgehog engine. You can't turn when jumping in Unleashed-generations, either. And you actually need to in those games.
@radicalcrash I was making fun of some of the badly written and/or acted lines in 06 and abit of captain is the captain on the side (although to be fair dont touch and lets get moving made me laugh) abit of trolling really :p I was trying to hold myself back cos I thought I'd have a reasonable debate about the game but I kinda lost the plot after you said the speed levels in 06 handled better.

Hold yourself back from what? It's not really trolling to be of the opinion that the dialogue is bad. It's trolling to treat your opinion like fact, though, which is what you did by "letting loose" just because you disagree about the mach speed.

@YohanBone She showed up in generations, so she can't be dead. Both games are a part of the canon. Yeah, if I were Silver, I'd probably miss my only friend, too. Not everyone. Sonic can use it for some reason that isn't explained, but Silver can use it because of his PK. That's why Blaze can't do it herself, because she can't do Chaos Control.
I think that was more Iblis. He's multi-dimensional and Blaze didn't start to disappear till after she absorbed Ibis.

@YohanBone That's just a kiddy way of handling a mature situation. It sounds a ittle off, but it's pretty cear that Sonic was against suicide. Elsewise he wouldn't have said anything. We, so far, I still think you've done a good job. The majority of people I've met act like they're entitled to rage and flame like assholes over Sonic 06. I think you hit on the answer: life or death situations. The reasons the characters use it is because they're trying to prevent life or death situations.

BUT I did quite like shadows story, I think that was mainly because he had a great villain.

But you have to remember, they had huge ambitions for the game, and they had litte time to fix it after Yuji Naka took off with all his work. It is a badass lyric. I think the only song that isn't too good is All Hail Shadow. The new version isn't very enjoyable. Actually, it was the weakest song in the Shadow game.

@YohanBone Being faster then cars doesn't mean he should never use them. They just need to provide good reasons for it. Reasons that make sense. Like using the hover vehicle to cross thr quicksand so that he doesn't drown in it. The only town mission I remember thinking was retarded is rescue Pete the dog. Silver has some great ones, like the water target test.

I did 2 walkthroughs and still fell short of getting all of the upgrades. I can beat the game no problem but getting every upgrade for Sonic has eluded me every time.

It's... a pretty corny song i think. It should've been a standalone soundtrack without vocals. Even so it's way too dramatic for a sonic theme. That's what went wrong with this game.

@Dman761 Well, maybe yes. But we'd had to wait till 07' to have a FULL, COMPLETE and GOOD Sonic The Hedgehog (2006) but, the point is that Sonic 15th anniversary was in 2006 and this Sonic Game is a (fail) tribute to Sonic's fifteen years of creation.

@Silveristhebest123 If you look at the reviews it's mainly down ot the controls and how long it takes for you to get up to speed, especially compared to the scret rings, which I had (Best 3D sonic game to date). The camera was replaced form secret rings as well ,which is strange because sega find a camera that works and then replace it. WTF. But yeh its mainly the camera, speed and controls. Just pointing it out, your free to enjoy whatever you like. Have fun ;).

I heard the reviews but it isn't as bad as everyone says it is. Why? I own the game. Sure, it had glitches and long loading screens but it is challanging. Despite the bad things I kept hearing about 06 I still wanted it. That was the best descion I made. A good game is one that keeps the player coming back for more.
@MrNickk88 My thoughts EXACTLY. I told my friend I wanted it for Christmas and she said "I heard that game sucks... glitches, loading screens, all that..." and I said "So?" and I played it. I LOVED it! I don't see why people hate it! I didn't have that many run-ins with glitches. And I made another account on my PS3 JUST to replay it again.
@Silveristhebest123 I did the exact same thing on my PS3. My friend bought the game for the 360 but I sucked at it but I beat the PS3 version and he has not beaten it. My friend plays other games but I still play this game. The only bad thing about this game is after losing a life in a Town Mission and waiting to try again. BTW you can equip a gem with the directional pad. I learned that AFTER I had beaten the game. I know how to get S Ranks on most missions. See you!
@MrNickk88 Haha, yeah, I was working on getting S ranks on all missions (going well), and the same with the gems. I was like "OK, how do I equip these?!" so I had to get the game manual after I already beat the game. But I love that game. My brother has an X-Box 360, and he tries it on my PS3, and he sucks, and I beat he wouldn't stand a CHANCE on the 360 version!
@Silveristhebest123 The gems are equiped with the control pad but I don't know how on the 360. A little tip on how to get S ranks on everything:
A. Have a high score
B. Keep your rings
C. Don't die at all
If you combine those tips into 1 then I assure you will get S ranks on all the levels. For bosses like Egg Gensis, all that you need to do is collect and keep all of the rings you can find then beat the boss. One last tip, time is key to getting a higher rank. Good Luck!

I'm sorry but sonic was as slow as a frozen turd in this game unless he was on a speed boost or on some loops were you don't have to press anything, there was WAY more then two glitches, the speed sections were uncontrollable and those are just the main gameplay issues of one character. It COULD of been really good, it had massive potential I think and it was really trying to be SA3 but it fails in most aspects. Most people enjoy a game for what it is, not plain fanboyism

@YohanBone He doesn't need to move so fast you can't see. It ruins the platforming. Colors, and generations are ridiculous, not just as Sonic games, but as games, period. The Genesis games were slow, relying on dash panels for speed. Sure, if you go out and look for them. But if you just play it, you're not going to meet more then 2. And the rest are fun to fuck with. A person isn't a fanboy just for liking Sonic 06. To be a fanboy, I'd have to worship all Sonic games. I wholly hate the last 2.

@radicalcrash yeah I see your point but not the speed like in generations or colours I ment more like the adventure games, in those you still go faster just on foot without the need of speed boosts and I felt it worked with those 3D titles. I felt it never messed up with the platforming in those games, but I can see why you like the normal sonic levels in 06 and each to there own I suppose.

@YohanBone I love the Adventures, and that's why I love 06. I don't think it's physically possible for the game to have a bad camera because you have total control of it 98% of the time, so you create your own angle. The controls are so tight, you can do two or three 360s with one jump. There's about 3 consistent glitches, and the others you might find are cool. The story is true to the series' Japanese roots. Colors and generations would be better games for Mario or Crash Bandicoot, not Sonic.

@radicalcrash There is SOO much more glitches, but the game still has so much more wrong with it. Just because you can move the camera doesn't mean it wont go out of control by itself (which it does). The controls are awful in the speed sections, the over arching plot is decent but everything in between (contrived missions, plot holes, and the general retarded details in the story). The game in general is just broken and was rushed and not made with care at all :/

@YohanBone I think, in three years and 164 plays through the game across three copies of it, there are maybe 6 gitches. If you're in control of the camera, it's not possible for it to be a bad ange. The ony bad angle is Silver's Egg Genesis. The controls are excelent in mach speed! Way better then recent Sonics! As long as a Sonic game doesn't cross the T rating, it's not overarching. There's not any retarded details in the story. There's unholy amusement parks in space. No plot holes, either.

Silver giving the emerald to Elise is how she had it at the start of the game. Time isn't linear. And Elise's father didn't seal it in himself because he was going to die, and then Iblis woud have been released anyway. In any case, that isn't a pot hole, it's just confusing.

The camera is bad, in tight areas it will ocationaly spaz out and alot of the time will be in a really awkward place when you really need it to work properly, and there is no possible way you can say the speed sections in 06 are better to control then the hedgehog engine stuff or even good to control at all. You cant stop, you cant back up, you cant turn around, you can barely turn at all, you cant move when jump and you trip up on pebbles

I'm playing it now. And I'm having no problems as usual. It doesn't spaz anywhere. I can easily say the mach speed is better then the bland hedgehog engine. You aren't supposed to stop in the mach speed, or turn around. You can steer with a billion times more precision then the slippery hedgehog engine. You can't turn when jumping in Unleashed-generations, either. And you actually need to in those games.

@radicalcrash I was making fun of some of the badly written and/or acted lines in 06 and abit of captain is the captain on the side (although to be fair dont touch and lets get moving made me laugh) abit of trolling really :p I was trying to hold myself back cos I thought I'd have a reasonable debate about the game but I kinda lost the plot after you said the speed levels in 06 handled better.

@YohanBone She showed up in generations, so she can't be dead. Both games are a part of the canon. Yeah, if I were Silver, I'd probably miss my only friend, too. Not everyone. Sonic can use it for some reason that isn't explained, but Silver can use it because of his PK. That's why Blaze can't do it herself, because she can't do Chaos Control.
I think that was more Iblis. He's multi-dimensional and Blaze didn't start to disappear till after she absorbed Ibis.

We, so far, I still think you've done a good job. The majority of people I've met act like they're entitled to rage and flame like assholes over Sonic 06. I think you hit on the answer: life or death situations. The reasons the characters use it is because they're trying to prevent life or death situations.

@radicalcrash it just seems odd that he acts like he can do it with ease, and he look like he's trying (if u understand what I'm trying to say) but the thing is the whole thing about silvers PK giving him the ability to chaos control, and just things in the story that aren't specifically said why and fans have to come up with there own explanations to ME feels like lazy/bad story telling. BUT I did quite like shadows story, I think that was mainly because he had a great villain.

But you have to remember, they had huge ambitions for the game, and they had litte time to fix it after Yuji Naka took off with all his work. Considering the obstacles they were up against, the finished product isn't that bad. A few breaking glitches and long load times aren't enough to justify people's reaction to 06. It is a badass lyric. I think the only song that isn't too good is All Hail Shadow. The new version isn't very enjoyable. Actually, it was the weakest song in the Shadow game.

@YohanBone Being faster then cars doesn't mean he should never use them. They just need to provide good reasons for it. Reasons that make sense. Like using the hover vehicle to cross thr quicksand so that he doesn't drown in it. The only town mission I remember thinking was retarded is rescue Pete the dog. Silver has some great ones, like the water target test.

I did 2 walkthroughs and still fell short of getting all of the upgrades. I can beat the game no problem but getting every upgrade for Sonic has eluded me every time.

I LOVE this song. BTW I will be doing a walkthrough of this game too. I just need to finish uploading Shadow the Hedgehog. It will be ready soon. Also, I will play the PS3 version. One last thing, I have 3 Sonic games made into walkthroughs. Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, and Sonic Heroes. I will be doing other Sonic games in case anyone is curious.

@Silveristhebest123 If you look at the reviews it's mainly down ot the controls and how long it takes for you to get up to speed, especially compared to the scret rings, which I had (Best 3D sonic game to date). The camera was replaced form secret rings as well ,which is strange because sega find a camera that works and then replace it. WTF. But yeh its mainly the camera, speed and controls. Just pointing it out, your free to enjoy whatever you like. Have fun ;).

@Silveristhebest123 I too understand what you are saying and I agree. I got it for my birthday and it is the best in terms of replay value if you really like it. I heard the reviews but it isn't as bad as everyone says it is. Why? I own the game. Sure, it had glitches and long loading screens but it is challanging. Despite the bad things I kept hearing about 06 I still wanted it. That was the best descion I made. A good game is one that keeps the player coming back for more.

@Silveristhebest123 I did the exact same thing on my PS3. My friend bought the game for the 360 but I sucked at it but I beat the PS3 version and he has not beaten it. My friend plays other games but I still play this game. The only bad thing about this game is after losing a life in a Town Mission and waiting to try again. BTW you can equip a gem with the directional pad. I learned that AFTER I had beaten the game. I know how to get S Ranks on most missions. See you!

I was like "OK, how do I equip these?!" so I had to get the game manual after I already beat the game. But I love that game. My brother has an X-Box 360, and he tries it on my PS3, and he sucks, and I beat he wouldn't stand a CHANCE on the 360 version!

@Silveristhebest123 The gems are equiped with the control pad but I don't know how on the 360. A little tip on how to get S ranks on everything:
A. Have a high score
B. Keep your rings
C. Don't die at all
If you combine those tips into 1 then I assure you will get S ranks on all the levels. For bosses like Egg Gensis, all that you need to do is collect and keep all of the rings you can find then beat the boss. One last tip, time is key to getting a higher rank. Good Luck!
