Thats a series 6 or above and depending what year it is, unmodified it will produce 255-280hp. With a chipped computer they can easily make 350hp. i know ive seen it done.

It doesn't take much brains to figure out that a 2,800 lb, 255HP turbo car with mods (possibly pushing 300HP+ with boltons) can take a 3,200 lb, NA car maxed out at 282HP, especially one driven like a little girl. What are ricers getting their panties all wet about?
For those who clearly have no clue, that 993 is a C4S with a turbo tail, not a turbo. A stock 993 turbo with 408HP would've slaughtered that rice rocket. Even a properly driven C4S on a twisty road would've left it in the dust.

I've never seen a 1991 rx7 turbo where I live (California). Don't think there even was a RX7 in model yr 1992. The FD is the only turbo I've seen on the street here so you may be right. In any event my original comment was that no way a stock FD would come close to a 993 turbo as depicted in the video. My normally aspirated 993 with a only a modified chip would give a better showing than the Turbo in the video. And as I said: I prefer my 993 to any Mazda. Have a Happy New Year.

That's not an FB. Series 1 is an SA, series 2 and 3 are FBs. The car in that video was a Series 6 FD. FBs had the side mirrors on fenders. Also, FBs didn't come with rounded flared fenders.

LOL My buddy wrote this but, he's right. I drive an e46 m3. Even though I love NA motors, it's definitely true. A boosted up rx7 would smoke a NA tuned 993 any day. I can't believe your even arguing this point........ I love my German cars possibly even more then you bud. Trust me on that one. The 993 will show it's heritage in the twisties.

Wait, this is a 993 Turbo so your buddy was wrong when he said it was normally aspirated. And plus, the only reason a tuner car will beat and exotic is because it is lightweight and with enough boost, the power/weight ratio would be dramatically increased. Porsche is and exotic and Rx7 is a tuner. Two totally different categories. I have a 993 and LOVE IT more than anything. Plus, the Rx7 needs to be tuned to beat this Porsche. The Porsche doesn't.

very true,people do tune stock 993's they get supercharged and i am sure with the numbers they produce they would shit on any rx7 with the autozone decals and interior gutted out,those cars are fast but they are in two differant categories and thats it

No way in hell this was a stock rx7. My 993 targa will blow away the current mustang gt's, let alone a stock rx7 running high 13's or low 14's. This rx7 is very modified, considering if beat a porsche turbo with over 400hp.

That's not an FB. Series 1 is an SA, series 2 and 3 are FBs. The car in that video was a Series 6 FD. FBs had the side mirrors on fenders. Also, FBs didn't come with rounded flared fenders.
