:O cought 7 flat heads one day all were about 35 pounds with one being 47pound was using blue gill about 6-9in long was awsome my arm was sore......and nothing wrong with a net but just stick your hand in its mouth and pull it out :)

you guys don't use bobbers or anything do you? i've heard a lot of different opinions

@nolangreen, it depends when your fishing to use a bobber or not for cats, if there really shallow you can use a bobber but most of the time i catch cats on the bottom. just watch your line, and hold on to your pole. i had mine propped up on a cooler this weekend and a cat jerked it so hard it made my pole lift off the ground and bounce. luckily he didnt take it lol.

Thanks!!! We were using fresh good-sized cut skipjack that I caught from below McAlpin Dam, on most all the Blue Cats, and a couple were caught on big bluegill heads. Zac's big 32lb Flathead was caught using a live 5-7 inch shad & my 43lb Blue was caught on a big skipjack's head. Thanks again for the comments
