I was a fan of this serie. and I'm always fan.thanks for post it.

I'd like to know if a french version does exist in DVD ? even I don't think..

I've discovered it 18 years ago(1994) at french tv ! and in french ! I tried to find french subtitles and I don't find. it's a pity that this remarquable serie was edited in DVD only in english.unfortunatly. the factory who made the dvd could maybe contact the french tv who diffused the serie and incorporate the funny french voices ! thanks

@MrKeane51 Long ago I had the same troubles finding this show in german synchronisation because I watched it in Germany on TV the first time.

Unfortunately, the distributor of the official release has not added any other languages than the original english.

But you can try to check certain Bootleg-sites that offer the series in french, recorded from french TV....but most likely with picture and sound quality loss.

@vnisanianisback Hi, well the site was there a long time ago. I think it was some website like "Washed Up Celebrities:Brice Beckham Blogspot..." maybe not that particular one.

Who knows, its maybe not there anymore, which could imply that those rumors were just false.

@brockpierce1984 If you're wondering what are my thoughts on the rumors, here they are.

I honestly don't think they're true. Based on the interviews I've read over the years, they seem to have nothing but good things to say about each other, and that they still keep in touch occasionally. And of the research I've done about Mr. Belvedere, I couldn't find any news about backstage antics. Certainly not enough to form an episode of the E True Hollywood Story.

@vnisanianisback I agree with your that they were just some malicious rumors ( just like the ones about Trevor Blumas being gay and a "boyfriend snatcher").

But if you hear the audio com on the DVD box set and watch the interviews, you can see that there must be some tensions between the cast and Bob Uecker.

Maybe not bad tension, just professional ones.

Still that was a long time ago and I guess they got along much better now, even just for sympathy after Chris Hewitts unfortunate passing.

brockpierece1984, here's some interesting facts about Mr. Belvedere that you probably didn't know:

Sometime around mid-February 1989, Bob Uecker suffered a mild heart attack. It may explain why his character was completely absent in some episodes near the end of season 5.

For the season 6 premiere, Brice Beckham practiced for weeks with a baseball coach in order to get in shape.

@vnisanianisback I heard that Bob had some health issues during that show that why he missed out on some eps...but than I also heard that he acted like quite an "a**ho** and even broke Brices jaw in the last season "Braces" S5Ep03, thats why he wore that huge "Erector Set" in his face.

But they might be just vicious rumors?

I would imagine that there was probably some discord among the cast just simply based on the fact that the rest of the cast were trained actors and Bob wasn't (it did show through on screen sometimes that he wasn't much of an actor).

If Brice's jaw did get broken by Bob (no one knows if it even happened) I would imagine that it was an accident because if he had done it intentionally he would have gone to jail been fired and the show canceled (it was his "star" vehicle after all).

@Hammerhead547 I would assume that it was an accident when Brice's jaw got broken...but by whom or where is a mystery.

I read an article on the internet, allegedly written by Brice, saying that his jar got broken specifically by Bob in an accident on set. But who knows if that was true..

After I found this interview, I noticed some tensions between the cast toward Bob...but then on the audio commentary and the new 2005 interview on the DVD, it seems a bit more friendlier but still distant.

There is a story about Bob trying to attack Andre The Giant at Wrestlemania 4 after their interview bit that ended with Andre (keyfabe) choking Bob.

Supposedly he thought Andre was a little to rough with him even though witnesses have said that Andre was a gentle as could be and had to be restrained by four or five people because he was going to try and jump Andre (who was twice his size) .

Vince must have forgiven him however because Bob is now in the WWE Hall Of Fame for no real reason.

It was supposedly quite something to see.

According to Pat Patterson and Jerry Briscoe (WWE head honchos behind the scenes at the time) Bob get really angry and started yelling at Andre (who was 7"5 and weighed 550 pounds) and then lunged at him while throwing a left hook and Andre just gave him the "dead eye stare" treatment because he could have taken him apart.

Supposedly no one in the locker room at either of the wrestlemania's he attended liked him very much.

The actors didn't really interact much with the audience but a few times when they wer not busy a few people had a chance to ask one of them a question and they would answer.

@21dulcenina Well last I heard is that Tracy Wells is happily married and has children, which means she retired from show business to be a mother and wife!

And Brice Beckham is not in any form related to the british Footballer ( Soccer ). But after a long hiatus ( after the end of the show ) he is back in the show business. Check out IMDB for his recent picture. He has changed quite a bit!

Well the old guy's name is Christopher Hewett who unfortunately died in 2001. Which means he couldnt appeared in the 2007s version of Good Day, LA. But maybe he was uncredited in the 1993s version! At least its not credited on IMDB!

Adam sandler was on this show once and the old guy who played Mr. Belvedere hadn't shown up yet to the set so they sat around waiting. Finally, Mr. Belvedere walked in ... in a sweatsuit and a matching monogrammed attache case. When the old guy took his seat he sang out 'Good morning everybody!' ... As he took a load off, he apparently sat on one of his own testicles. With his nut scrunched under his leg he screamed, 'Oooohhhhh!' and had to be carried out on a stretcher."

But if you watch my video, the interview of the whole cast. You sure notice that there is some tension in the entire cast, when Bob Uecker talked.

And that isnt gossip at all. Its an official interview. Well at least, it seemed to me that there is not much "harmony" on the set!

Well maybe you are right and it was just bad gossip. But in my opinion there is still some tensions when Bob talked about becoming an actor at that show, at the beginning.

Or maybe I got influenced by that rumorous website where a supposed to grown Brice Beckham talked about his experience at the show and with Bob Uecker!

The theme song heard in this video is the one that was used in syndication.

For syndication, a shorter version of the theme song was recorded, in order to accompany the edited versions of the episodes, which had short openings.

@vnisanianisback I got now the official DVD version of MR BELVEDERE season 1-3 and it is much better quality and with some original ( not cut-out TV version ) dialogs.Although I have the other seasons ( 4 + 5 + 6 ) I cant wait for that official release.

@brockpierce1984 Yes, and as a matter of fact, that's the no.1 reason why every Mr. Belvedere fan should get the series on DVD. Up until they came out, the majority of episodes that circulated among collectors seemed to be the syndicated versions.

I noticed you didn't mention if you got season 4 or not. I'm guessing it's because Shout! Factory doesn't ship overseas to the U.K. (where you live).

I am not sure if there are any episodes on the internet, except a few on Youtube. But of course, you still could buy the entire season on DVD. I did it and it wasnt too expensive ( it sure was worth it ).

Well, I am not sure if the season is officially on DVD.

But I got it through one of those DVD sites. And the seasion was actually copied from TV or VHS, I think. But it seemed legal and copyright'ed.

I payed back than around $50.00 including p+p.
