Janis had men in her life but she didn't have one main man. That was the void in her life. She needed true love. She was lonely. Its easy to assume that thats part of the reason why she often sang about being lonely and songs about strengthening and maintaining relationships.

Lots (!) of songs and fairly good liner notes- mostly by Sam Andrew ( Big Brother guitarist) and lots of interesting photos. This was a really kick ass show. Im not a big fan of the guys (they really put her down over the years cuz she left them) But they had great moments. Ahh,but yea....would be cool as can be if Jorma was playin that night. xx Peace & blessings to ya.

@dazed691 I think today's popular music is full of gimmicks because they are lacking in the voice department. Better yet, I think the younger generation is force fed junk by the truck loads because real music takes time to make and time is money and that is all people care about these days, but hey that is only my opinion. I hope that music gets back to being about feeling and emotion and story telling soon.
