Almost as awkward as it's gonna be when Sasuke realizes what he's done is wrong and tries to apologize...while laying down on the ground beaten and battered. Though, I feel as though when we cross that bridge, there will be some insane twist we would never see coming. Naruto and Sasuke VS Tobi, maybe? Who knows? As long as the Uchiha lives I'll be good.

Itachi did have an illness we are told this when madara tells sasuke the truth if I can remember correctly also madara also told sasuke that itachi could have killed him in this fight if itachi were to have gotten serious @ the getgo

@pvutborg I don't know where, but he DOES have a fatal illness (or at least he did before he died...) which he was keeping at bay with medication and sheer willpower. He was probably content with Sasuke's level of strength (and extremely weak/drained of chakra etc) so he just gave up happy. I don't know, I'm not really the best person to ask (I don't know everything :P) my points were just to show that Sasuke's achievement wasn't really all that...epic...when you think about it :)
Its sad because Itachi and Naruto are the only two who actually care about Sasuke and I keep forgetting Madara(Tobi),Kabuto and Orochimaru want to use him.

I say this because while Madara is stronger, he is only stronger because his brother gave him his eyes, and both Madara and his brother were the strongest Uchihas. Itachi on the other hand was this badass, without anyone's eyes, and even his own eyes were almost dead. But disregarding all that, he did not even want to kill Sasuke. He wanted to make him stronger by giving Sasuke his own eyes.

He should have been dead but he stayed alive on pure willpower. And I highly doubt with Willpower only he would be able to beat Sasuke. But again. That is an opinion matter.

Itachi was Ill and would have died soon. He should have died along time ago, but he kept himself alive on pure Willpower so that one day Sasuke could kill him and restore the Uchiha Name. He was also going blind because of the overuse of the MS. Rendering him half blind and half dead against a pissed Mad Sasuke.
Sasuke was stronger because of Itachis illness. Itachis goal with this battle was to remove Orochimarus curse from sasuke and to transfer his powers to Sasuke.

The only reason why Itachi's eyes were stronger than sasukes were because
Itachi had his eyes for a much longer time than sasuke giving him more experience with it
He had Mangekyou Sharingan which increases your eyes strength exponentially and gives it special abilities, all which itachi mastered, because he could unlock susanoo
And the only reason why sasuke was about to go blind was because of over using the MS' powers against the hokages, it normally takes years to lose sight
itachis sharingan was much much stronger than sasukes, he would become blind from his sharingan because its so weak but not itachi, later sasuke let someone implantate him itachis eyes...

Implanting someone elses sharingan creates an 'immortal' sharingan, capable of repeated use of any jutsu, with the exception of the time reversal genjutsu.Thats why Itachi is muttering about taking Sasukes eyes towards the end of the fight. His are worn out and HE cannot use them anymore, but sasuke can. But yes Itachis sharingan are way stronger than Sasukes.

Everyone has to notice how sasuke isn't original. I mean his Chidori came from kakashi and his snake justu came from orochimaru and his Current MS is from Itachi. Been reading over some of the comments here that say Sasuke has gotten stronger than Itachi. Sure he may have learned some new moves but all the fights he's been in so far were all entirely just plain luck. Seriously he beats Orochimaru when he was at his weakest and he also beated Itachi at his weakest point too. Now for Deidara he wasn't a good fighter to begin with, all pure luck there when he sheilded himself from the blast with the sacrafice of the huge snake guy. Sasuke has just been lucky

@ronnydalia I disagree. Itachi was strong no doubt about that. But he was too weak at the time he fought Sasuke. As someone said earlier. He should have been dead but he stayed alive on pure willpower. And I highly doubt with Willpower only he would be able to beat Sasuke. But again. That is an opinion matter.

itachi did let sasuke win but he was fighting to kill because if he didnt then orochimaru would never have came out, in my opinion itachi was stronger but because susano'o drains your life and mangekyou makes you blind itachi had less of a chance but if he was 'fresh' sasuke would've had no chance

What's all this "itachi is sick and gonna die anyway" shit? He's not fatally ill, his only issue is he is nearly completely blind from forced over use of his mangekyo sharingan. That's it. So technically this badassery he pulled off in this fight was with a handicap. Sasuke had no chance in hell if itachi didn't take a dive.

Itachi was Ill and would have died soon. He should have died along time ago, but he kept himself alive on pure Willpower so that one day Sasuke could kill him and restore the Uchiha Name. He was also going blind because of the overuse of the MS. Rendering him half blind and half dead against a pissed Mad Sasuke.

Itachi could of let Sasuke burn under the black flames and Sasuke would of died for sure but he closed his eyes because he wasn't there to kill him. Itachi was sick and dying at the time and he knew it. He faught Sasuke just before his death to destroy/seal the curse mark within Sasuke.

The only reason why Itachi's eyes were stronger than sasukes were because
Itachi had his eyes for a much longer time than sasuke giving him more experience with it
He had Mangekyou Sharingan which increases your eyes strength exponentially and gives it special abilities, all which itachi mastered, because he could unlock susanoo
And the only reason why sasuke was about to go blind was because of over using the MS' powers against the hokages, it normally takes years to lose sight

@ronnydalia Wrong. Overuse of your own sharingan leads to blindness. Implanting someone elses sharingan creates an 'immortal' sharingan, capable of repeated use of any jutsu, with the exception of the time reversal genjutsu.Thats why Itachi is muttering about taking Sasukes eyes towards the end of the fight. His are worn out and HE cannot use them anymore, but sasuke can. But yes Itachis sharingan are way stronger than Sasukes.

Everyone has to notice how sasuke isn't original. I mean his Chidori came from kakashi and his snake justu came from orochimaru and his Current MS is from Itachi. All his fights has been a gamble cuz all he's doing is throwing justus and when he doesn't have much cahrka the dude gets LUCKY always. Itachi, Raikage, Killer bee Mizukage, Tsuchikage. Been reading over some of the comments here that say Sasuke has gotten stronger than Itachi. Sure he may have learned some new moves but all the fights he's been in so far were all entirely just plain luck. Seriously he beats Orochimaru when he was at his weakest and he also beated Itachi at his weakest point too. Now for Deidara he wasn't a good fighter to begin with, all pure luck there when he sheilded himself from the blast with the sacrafice of the huge snake guy. Sasuke has just been lucky
